i totally agree with you about bai lu because I haven't seen much drama of her's but if you think liu yifei is to femininw to pass as a male disguised then you should see "mulan",her acting there is too good my friend!!
also whether it's bai lu and other actress I'll definitely support them but you know I'm biased here too since I heared zhang jingyi was once rumoured to star in here so I was excited since I'm dieing to see her in a martial art wuxia drama but feel like her rumour has became a past news.

I'm enjoying the storyline overall but there are plenty of doubts that I have first is:the ml said to fl that he is also a transmigrator who got tansmigrated 2 hours ago but the drama summary says he is living there for a decade?so I'm guessing he's lieing to female lead.secondly,male lead is carrying out every action very preciously the courtroom scenes and in the way he is handling every situation without any questions and doubts is suggesting that he's already more knowledgeable about the story and how to keep it up more then the female lead when he claims to get tansmigrated in it at the same time as female lead so let's say he's lieing and that's the plot of the drama but why isn't female lead is suspicious of it?since when the empress dowager first appeared the ml talked to her like he's already well identified with it and he was not even confused when he saw the crown prince who happens to be his son.lastly,i saw a comment saying the ml transmigrated in the novel many years ago when he was still a kid so that means he should already be well identified with the dilect and old time chinese language but when fl was suspicious that he can be a transmigrator was when he said "hey you";so it's kind of confusing because if he's already living there for a decade so why would he still use that phrase,I kind of think that the plot is going to be something more then just him lieing to her about his transmigration or maybe im overthinking it (⁠╥⁠﹏⁠╥⁠)

there's something about this drama that makes me excited everytime I think about it because my condition is the same like the male lead.
