I agree that they wasted too much time, but I already knew it was gonna be like this when the creator said the…
Yeah I agree for James it went from lusting and crushing on Ken to becoming obsessed and in love with him in no time. For Ken, maybe there's some past thing triggering it idk what to tell you lol.
I was thinking the exact same thing! Like sometimes there is so much dialogue in a scene with so many long pauses…
Yeah like that gas station scene with rainbows? Sorry what was that even 😂😂 how about you go investigate this very serious Nour situation and find your friend sheeeesh.
Gurl you took my words out of my mouthLike acting is good but I feel a bit lacking from James how he acts sometimes…
Totally agree that it feels a bit lacking but also Ken never looks him in the eyes it's so weird, he only look at his lips or some other place and he has that constant smoldering look LOL. I'm still interested in this Nour plot so hopefully that pays off XD
I agree that they wasted too much time, but I already knew it was gonna be like this when the creator said the…
It could have lots of romance that's truly not an issue. The problem is that it's so constant that it got annoying. It would hit better if after doing their actual job, they get to rest and be all lovey dovey and stuff and tbh the relationship happened too fast for my liking that I'm still processing why they're even in love with each other...anyyyyyyywayyy let's see.
Horrible pacing in this episode. How are we supposed to take the plot seriously when A friend AND a brother got kidnapped, but the main characters are focused on romantic fluff? that was not the right time for that and the constant flirting is tiring. As inspectors, their complete lack of urgency made no sense. The awkward writing clearly impacted the performances too; the acting felt really weird and cringey, and the directing was so chaotic it was hard to follow. Really hope the show gets back on track.
I have to disagree with you on two things: 1) Oat can act. He did a pretty good job in My Stubborn. But in this…
I agree that a solid project and a talented director can pull a brilliant performance out of an actor. So, if you see potential in Oat, I won't argue with that! I really dislike trash-talking actors. But based on the two projects I’ve seen, I just don't think he's a good actor. He constantly has this congested face, and in almost every serious scene, he looks like he's chewing on super sour candy. Now, addressing your second point: of course not everything needs to be fluffy, cute, or prude, but my stubborn was, in my honest opinion, a disgusting mess from start to finish. Even though I skipped through basically everything just to see if the plot was actually going anywhere, it didn't. That project made me associate this couple with trash productions that rely on sex to gain fame, and unfortunately, it worked. I had zero desire to watch them again, especially with the image of Boat running around with a beard drawn on with a Sharpie burned into my brain, haha. I only gave this new show a chance because I was genuinely interested in watching an Omegaverse series. Instead, it was just another excuse for them to film highly explicit, repetitive sex scenes. They were the exact same as in My Stubborn with only subtle differences, and as I mentioned before, I was having a complete overdose of it. Where we can definitely agree is that I am completely done with any project these two make together. They clearly aren't trying to build names for themselves as respected actors. I'm not a shipper, so I couldn't care less about fixed pairings; I'd much rather see actors work with different partners and directors to bring out a better side of their talent and open up real opportunities. These guys aren't getting any younger, and I honestly wonder how long they're going to keep churning out the exact same project before they realize it's time to stop.
Leaving my shameful digital footprint as proof I survived this show (even though I fast-forwarded most of it). People claiming this main couple "deserved better" are delusional. First, they can't act. Second, this isn't a TV series—it’s a softcore audition tape. They might as well just launch an OnlyFans at this point. I completely lost it when Phatsa started crying over a hotel; I didn't even bother trying to understand why. And what was with the bodyguards? They were everywhere. I fully expected them to pop up in my own living room at one point. That final explicit scene was my breaking point. I suffered a literal tongue-kissing overdose and had to call it quits. These actors need to step away from the camera ( first my stubborn that was disgusting, now this), go find a productive hobby, and maybe—just maybe—they’ll land a script that respects them (and us) as actual professionals. To top it off, the villain was a total joke, and the side couple was boring beyond belief. Oh, look at you, loving a beta, how noble. Camera work was tragic, actually everything else was. 0/10. Enough is enough.
I've started this series back when it was airing. But i could NOT go past ep 4!! i usually tolerate and even like…
Honestly, if you're only thinking about watching this because of the hype or FOMO, skip it. I fast-forwarded through most of the episodes just to get to the end. The second couple felt completely forced and so cringey I couldn't even get through their scenes...it clearly felt like a setup to test the waters for their own future show as leads rather than a genuine subplot. To give credit where it's due, the main leads actually had solid chemistry. That said, Duang was too much that it was hard for me to care about the plot ( that wasn't even that solid). Fans try to excuse it as "golden retriever energy" and "whimsical".. BL blind shippers will hype up mediocrity no matter what, so don't let the online noise fool you into watching a below-average show ( unless you're in the mood for that because I do watch some pretty ridiculous Chinese micro dramas so who am I to judge).
Duang makes himself act or look stupid either when he's nervous or wants to wring a laugh from Qin. As you continue…
The uncut version, and the chemistry between the leads is easily the high point. Their dynamic feels completely organic, and the build-up of their romance is paced perfectly. and somehow their relationship was mature. My only real critique is Duang... I understand his over-the-top antics and exaggerated walking are meant for comic relief, but it felt excessive (he's in uni not a junior high so he's supposed to be a young adult). I usually love fluffy characters, but some of his scenes were a bit much, I had to either pause for a moment or completely skip. Imho this does not deserve an 8.7 but we all have different tastes ofc.
The fact that the actors couldn’t convey even a tiny bit of emotion in the finale genuinely bothered me. Like…
I had zero expectations for the finale, and it still managed to shock me. I couldn't agree more about the acting!! it's something I've brought up before. The main issue is that Dech supposedly loves Great so profoundly that he was willing to perform the spell on himself (though they skipped the scene with the most critical character decision just to jump to the payoff). He loves him enough to travel through time—even though I still don't understand when Dech even realized his lover was an outsider, given how ambiguous the writers kept it. Yet when they finally reunite, why didn't we get a grand emotional scene of two lovers reuniting against all odds? Oh right, because there's zero chemistry and the acting was far too weak on both ends to make us believe they were ever in love. It was cold as hell and they managed to convey zero emotion. To top it off, Dech somehow becomes a top surgeon in the present day, despite being a man from the past with zero medical knowledge??like yeah present day Dech is a surgeon but now it's past Dech in that body? what even happens to present day Dech then? he vanished?? The writers really just said, "We're too lazy to think about anything, so we'll give you a below-average ending to complete a below-average plot and let you connect the dots yourself." What a complete joke this show has been from start to finish. It wasn't just a bad show!! it was a terrible series with a terrible team. From the actors to the director and writers, it feels like nobody involved actually did their job. Anyone that thinks this was good is probably a blind shipper which I'm thankfully not, so I watch all shows from the perspective of a normal viewer..
Deflecting with 'bot account' doesn't change anything. I'm literally just watching this off a rec list as a normal viewer, not a blind shipper. I’ve called P’Kian cringe in the past and even gave it a bad rating, so I’m definitely not taking sides LOL Duang’s actions in this ( not the actor, the character) and his mannerisms just felt way too exaggerated and off-putting to me. I'm allowed to critique what I watch on this page, and I stand by what I said. Go touch some grass.
Currently watching this since it's on the list of BLs I needed to watch. Sorry, but is Duang supposed to be mentally challenged or what? How's this normal? P'Kian was also obsessed with Peach and stuff but it was never this level of cringe? I don't know why I was recommended this.
Are Leng and August paired now or just for this series? I don't see any chemistry between the two. I swear it…
I swear the empty plot is the main reason Dech’s feelings for Gaew/Great came out of absolute nowhere. They had zero impactful moments to build any believable romantic foundation. And look, I hate trash-talking actors, but Leng’s performance is painful to watch. It’s shocking that someone with that level of emotional flatlining got a main lead role. I’ve seen my fair share of weak acting in Thai BLs, but this is a new low and it still managed to baffle me. I don't wanna make any assumptions here but if they signed on with strict no-NC/intimacy clauses, fine, that’s valid. But setting boundaries doesn't excuse a complete lack of chemistry or basic romantic tension. Why are the second leads and literally the servants getting all the actual romance and carrying the NC quota that no one asked for that the main leads clearly refused to do? I have zero hope left for this finale. I genuinely hope they never get paired up in a series again and leng needs acting classes first......
Ah well thank god then!! I guess I'll push through the last 2 episodes just to see how messy the ending could get but damn, I really can't believe how terrible the acting is ?? ! Also Gaew is really not even trying to go back home it's so weird like what's his goal even??
Am I the only one struggling with Love Destiny? After Love Upon a Time, I had high hopes for another great time-travel/period BL, but this is a rough watch. The main couple feels completely secondary because there's no spark or tension between them. On top of that, the plot is going nowhere with frequent filler scenes and the acting isn't saving it. It’s a bummer because the setup had potential, but it’s just not delivering.
I’m currently watching The Early Spring, but I’m finding it really hard to get through. Both leads feel incredibly bland, and the dynamic between them is deeply off-putting. Instead of feeling like a cold perfectionist, the ML comes across as predatory!!!!! especially when he made a move on his direct subordinate while she was drunk and vulnerable IN HIS OWN APARTEMENT. The power imbalance makes his entire vibe uncomfortable. Meanwhile, the FL lacks agency and personality, making her completely forgettable as she just passively absorbs the workplace pressure and his boundary-crossing advances. The show tries to sell a mature, realistic romance, but it just relies on outdated, toxic office tropes. It’s a shame because I really like Jing Boran, but this has been a really tough watch
I literally posted a review saying the exact same thing about how I wasn't able to forgive him after the divorce arc, he went from the greenest of flags to a terrible husband/ML. The ending was ruined because of this.
YES! SMB SAID IT! Romance should NOT be forceful at all and hearing about ppl talk about the novel is levels to…
Ewww I can't imagine how he is in the novel because he was already disgusting in the show with all the forcing. This doesn't shock me tho because Chinese novels like to romanticize this sort of behavior.
I can recommend Lost romance, it's a taiwanese drama and really really good. A dream within a dream is also really good. Love in time although the actress is a bit annoying but I still enjoyed it. See you again but it has a terrible ending .
