Why do I think that Lu Ze's trouble at work will somehow impact his and Jingjing's relationship? 😟 Please, don't hurt her in any way... she's precious! 🥺The worst thing about Yifei is that he doesn't even try when it comes to household stuff and chores. 😤 Alright, a few moments maybe are cute, but they usually happen when she isn't looking or isn't even present... 🫣 I really hope he changes his attitude about all that very soon, because I would be annoyed if I had to live with such a person. It's like she has a lazy and spoiled son. 🙄😮💨

Wow, I didn't expect the twist about the brothers! And adding Wen's mother to the mix, Xixiao's father becomes the father of all three of them... in a way? 🤔🙄But Wen's mother boils my blood. To take all the father's money and leave a child to take care of her grandmother? Then to not even send money to pay for anything her child might need, and even now to say that Wen is not understanding her? I want to hear her reasons, really, because I can't imagine any that could justify her actions in this situation. Maybe I could accept it if it was to protect Wen in some way, maybe, but I don't know. Also, whose mother is the grandmother—the father's? 😩🧐Xixiao making that arrow necklace to fit Wen's bow... it's so cute. 🤗 Sadly, he never got to give it to her... yet.But as for the time jump, I can't express much shock because I suspect this wasn't the ultimate one. I believe their story will be covered by showing events in both timelines—events of what happened in the past in 2016 and then what is happening now in 2026, until they finally reach the point where the past is explained. And they will probably do that in parallel. It wouldn't be the first time a story is told that way. 🤨

I wonder who wiped the whiteboard? Was it a targeted sabotage? 🤨🤔 Even I saw this possibility that it might be erased and she would lose all her night's work. Oh, that silly girl! 🤦♀️ At least Yifei took photo of them and could save the day for her. What would she do without him, eh? 🤷♀️I am glad they talked and resolved that issue with "using", which means they returned to their old cozy selves—the way I like them the most. 🤗 And those Yifei's answers to Gui Lili from Fei's phone... 😂 And kudos to Zhao De for reading the room. Yeah.... card in his office. 🤭Jun Cheng's parents are the worst... I will complain yet again how they don't have any boundaries. If they expect that to be a comedy-like move—well, it isn't. 😩

All the annoying ladies are getting punished, which means we will soon be out of antagonists. Could that mean something big is coming? Also, Yuan Shen joining the imperial court probably means he will become a more regular fixture in all of their affairs. Maybe he'll be the one to stir the waters for Buyi and Shaoshang? 🤔But Shaoshang and Buyi are so smitten with each other! I can't ignore those smiles, those gazes... 🤭🥰🤗And, lol, "a few small items"—and Buyi empties Shaoshang's room completely! 😂

Oh, what an episode! 🤩I loved how Shaoshang and her mother both took Buyi and his mother's side against Madam Chunyu. She, of course, couldn't tolerate that "humiliation" and ran to the Old Princess Consort Ruyang. But their attempt to ruin the engagement party backfired on them heavily, thanks to the brilliant teamwork between Shaoshang, Buyi, the Emperor, and both of his wives. Bravo! No other words needed. 👏🥳P.S. AND we got a kiss! Every man should master Buyi's method of how to shut his beloved's mouth when she's saying things he doesn't want to hear. 🥰🤭

I don't blame Fei for her reaction at the dinner party; she was completely unprepared. Thanks to Yifei, not only did he swoop into the situation, but he also softened things with Ms Fang. And now Fei is Yifei's special assistant! 😏 I love how she smiles and giggles when they exchange messages on the phone, and how he worries about whether she has eaten and if she is okay. 🥰And I do adore Jingjing the most. I really hope she and her fiancé stay in a healthy relationship throughout the whole drama. I don't want to see her cry about anything! 🤗

This episode was quite fun with all the "fake date" with Jun Cheng, the bed swap, and Yifei finally realising, of sorts, that he fancies Fei! 🤭

I can't even begin to describe how this drama has made me feel. It was a complete rollercoaster of emotions, but in the best way possible. I felt for both brothers so much, and their journey was anything but easy. 😭Haixia's road was particularly tragic, starting right from the early episodes. His main goal was always to protect Hailou, leading to sacrifice after sacrifice, physical disability, self-doubt, and then hosting an evil side that slowly overtook him, ultimately ending in his death. 💔 His last words before passing away in Hailou's arms were, "I am feeling a little tired." I am tearing up just remembering that scene—his faint smile at his brother, his mouth filled with blood, and his eyes full of tears. 🥺😭Hailou's road was more about personal growth. He had to put his chaotic, troublemaker nature to one side and deal with all the challenges alone once Haixia could no longer help him. He had to become more serious and responsible, eventually becoming a great leader, and by the end, a Master himself. ✨Ding Yuxi and Zhang Xincheng played their roles brilliantly. Even though this was the first time seeing Xincheng on my screen, I am really impressed by his acting and will definitely look up some of his other works. However, Yuxi... I can't even describe how breathtaking his performance was in this drama. He had to portray such a vast range of emotions and mental states. I have always thought that playing a villain—especially when done well—is much harder than playing a hero. Once again, I can only applaud him for his amazing work, which has made me fall in love with his talent and him as an actor even more. 👏❤️This journey was unbelievable and will stay on my mind for quite some time. It is the best C-drama I have seen so far, even if I haven't watched that many yet. 10/10. 🌟🏆

Oh, what a twist, Zhang Haixia! He's fighting, and he has been fighting all along! I hope Hailou can save him... Thanks to Haiqi's black-furred snake and the snake man for all the important memories! 🙏"You can control my body. But you can't control my mind. I'll do everything I can to destroy you. Otherwise, I'm just a criminal." — our Shrimpie to Dark Haixia. 🥺

And in the end, it turned out that Mo Yungao was his own adjutant—the third one that had to die. And the Evil God was all fake... 🙄 Well... this isn't a fantasy drama after all, right? 😏I didn't expect Haixia to kill Haiqi. 😧 But maybe, just maybe, he didn't do it himself, but Haiqi forced his hand in the end? She was holding his arm. And that look on his face maybe wasn't the anger of a killer, but anger because she made him kill her? I don't know... As always, grasping at straws to rationalise anything my dear Haixia is doing... 🥺🤷♀️And now Hailou has set his mind on killing Haixia, but will he be able to do that? Really? The mask makes him look like a snake, returning us to the story at the very beginning where Haiqi told them Hailou was the snake that kills the sparrow (Haixia). 😭💔

Haixia is Hailou's guardian angel—dark or not. He wouldn't let anything happen to him. I had a hunch he would intervene, and he did! 👏😌 Bye-bye, Mo Yungao! 👋Also, I think Haixia is provoking Hailou all the time, trying to prove he's not redeemable, for it would harden Hailou and give him the strength (mental more than physical at this point) to kill him. 🥺 Haixia said himself that he wants to die, but he can't kill himself. I guess his dark self just doesn't let him. 😔And Hailou as Feikun Balu—just wow! 🤩 All his skillsets and abilities seemed like they were on a whole new level. The entrance was EPIC, the aura was overwhelming, and the way he moved and killed was like a tornado destroying everything in its path!P.S. I am actually grateful they showed us Mo Yungao's journey up to the point where we first met him. It explained a lot, especially that it has been the Evil God's influence on everything that has happened from the very start. 👆

I had already wondered if the mother recognised the name Zhou Wan. Apparently, she did! 😮I don't like Wan's childhood friend—I am pretty sure he's just acting out of jealousy because she spends too much time with Xixiao. 🙄😒But Lu Xixiao... oh, all those gestures he does for her—taking the blame, helping with the fish, agreeing to come to the balloon party... and more! I have always had a thing for bad boys with motorbikes who are all sunshine and bunnies when it comes to their girl, so yeah... 🤭🥰

Oh, did I love how daring and mischievous Zhou Wan is? YES, absolutely! I think she's quite a perfect match for our bad boy Lu Xixiao and, to be fair, I think she even surpasses his "bad-boyness". 🤭And her mother left them to go to Xixiao's family? Yeeah..... 🙄 She's the reason why Zhou started tutoring Xixiao. That's probably what the lies she mentioned at the very beginning of episode 1 were about!

A very strong premiere! The chemistry between the leads is already noticeable and it's amazing. Love that it's not the cliché version of a bad boy falling in love with a smart girl, because our girl is quite capable—not some shy damsel in distress. All the things she has to juggle to take care of herself and her grandma! 🥺😏❤️Wow, I think I am already sold. Really! 🤩

Shaoshang is so reckless. I know Buyi likes her the way she is, but oh boy, the situation they got into because of the tally! Not only did the Crown Prince lose it because he didn't listen to Buyi's advice not to take it outside the Eastern Palace, but also, due to the Crown Princess Consort's plea for help, Shaoshang decided to make a fake one. 🫣🫢😰And that's a crime for which one's whole kin can get executed... Oh, Shaoshang! 🤦♀️ If Buyi hadn't given away his last remaining relic of General Huo, Shaoshang wouldn't survive this whole thing. At least she reconciled with Buyi and kind of finally confessed her feelings. 😌 The scene with Buyi's mother was so sad to watch. This was one of her bad days. 🥺💔
