Season 1 Recap: The first season aired in late 2025 with 6 episodes, following a vengeful yakuza ordered to guard and secretly kill his underboss, only to develop a complex, intense bond.
Finished rating; 9/10 - omg that has to be the most healthy relationship I have seen in a JBL in a long time. Maybe because he was falling in love with a mature man that understood what a relationship is. Sexy in many many ways. That didn't overshadow the characters and their blooming relationship. It tackled some very interesting questions about age gap romance, and tbh it taught us that loving someone isn't just about looks, or status. It's about taking care of the one you love through each one of your life journeys. I adored this one. A lot of people may have dropped it due to the very sexy scenes, or maybe the age gap. But they missed a healthy relationship. Hisaki Ainosuke has the cutest soul! His kindness was what draw in people. Okumi Hideaki deep voice and cheeky vibe had me swooning.
Okumi Hideaki deep love and respect for Hisaki Ainosuke from day one when he saved him from that pervert on the train only cemented how much I loved his character. He respected each one of Hisaki Ainosuke boundaries, even the ending he made it care he would never hold him back. I'm so happy they shared rings.
Okumi Hideaki lived a lie most of his life, married and not able to come out. As the world changed around him and his marriage ended he was finally able to be who he wanted to be. Even at his age, he wanted to make up for what he missed out on his early years. He is still a very fit and handsome man. Go him! So when he saw Hisaki Ainosuke being bullied on the train be couldn't help saving him. From their they ran into each other unexpectedly... And so their story began...

Omg I knew it!! Well I thought Lie was going to make his move after the fight. But then Zai was hurt... For a little while I was thinking I may be wrong about him. But no lol that last scene eeeppss. Kidnapped away from his friends! Lie was just waiting for him to recover first. So smart.
I really like how they take into consideration the healing factor for all characters. It's great they are, for one, really getting hurt. This adds more danger to the show when you know there are risks. Then they are considering healing and being smart about when to make their moves around it all or getting good character develop between them.
I love how these last two EPs Lie listened to Zai about his past. Although he didn't show it. I think he is slowly starting to warm up to him, but having to force the feelings away to stick to his mission. That light pet on Zai shoulder when he was crying. Lie doesn't seem the type to offer comfort to just about anyone. Zai has a effect on this stone cold assassin.
Omg the way Zai spoke to him about trust and how he considers him a friend .... The look on Lies face, he looked conflicted by how trusting Zai was. Maybe parts of him wishes he wasn't so trusting because it makes it hard for him to betray him. He already bit Zai's hand once to prove to him non verbally not to be so trusting of people in the apocalypse. But Zai is such a good soul he still refused to see anything bad in Lie. Maybe he was still seeing his brother in Lie, after all it was after his dream of his brother, that he went out to help Lie. So maybe he wanted that connection or maybe attraction he didn't exactly understand yet blinded him.
I'm thrilled to see their dynamic change now into a kidnapped situation out in the risky wilds. The thriller continues!!

9/10 - omg that has to be the most healthy relationship I have seen in a JBL in a long time. Maybe because he was falling in love with a mature man that understood what a relationship is.
Sexy in many many ways. That didn't overshadow the characters and their blooming relationship. It tackled some very interesting questions about age gap romance, and tbh it taught us that loving someone isn't just about looks, or status. It's about taking care of the one you love through each one of your life journeys.
