For real. I couldn’t even finish that show
❤️❤️I don’t feel attacked at all, and I’m sorry if my last message came across that way. I’m really just enjoying the discussion and digging into the nuances of the story. No hard feelings here whatsoever.
To clarify on the "I'm not into guys" line: I actually think that quick denial is one of the most believable parts of the story, rather than just a manga trope. As someone who is bisexual and knowing friends who are too we all have to start somewhere when we're figuring out what and who we like.
When a character instantly jumps to deny being gay, it doesn't necessarily mean they are being homophobic. Instead, it often reflects a deep-seated fear of what that label means in their specific society. The fact that he feels the urgent need to deny it shows he is hyper-aware of the social complications and fallout. For a lot of guys navigating fluid attraction or realizing they might be bi, starting with that kind of defensive denial is a very real psychological mechanism.
I think that's why perspectives from different writers whether men, women, gay, or straight can be so fascinating. Sometimes an outside perspective or a creative premise can highlight those societal pressures in a really unique way.
Ultimately, society would be a whole lot better off if people realized that the gender you fall in love with isn't the single thing that defines who you are in the long run.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on it, and take care of yourself!

Ok have to address the points you just few out there "sick kind of a woman" "a male wouldn't come up with such a premise"

Honestly, putting people and sexuality into neat little boxes just doesn't match reality.
For starters, human sexuality is incredibly fluid. Decades of research (going all the way back to Alfred Kinsey and backed up by modern psychologists like Lisa Diamond) shows that most people sit somewhere on a spectrum, and attractions can shift over time. Curiosity is just part of being human; it doesn't mean someone is trapped by a rigid label.
The same goes for creativity. The idea that a man could "never" imagine this kind of premise completely underestimates how empathy and imagination work. Writers step outside their own lived experiences all the time, that’s literally what storytelling is.
But let's address the real elephant in the room: there is a massive double standard here. There's this weird, ongoing bias where women are labeled as having "sick minds" for writing edgy or sexual content, yet society completely overlooks the fact that male creators have been doing the exact same thing for centuries without the judgment. Why the sudden gatekeeping when a woman writes it?
Nothing in life fits into a perfect, simple box—and creative expression definitely shouldn't.
I don't write this not to argue with you. Just maybe hopefully opened your thoughts to this idea. thank you and have a good day.

The age old BL debit 😊 actors shouldn't be able to take on a role if they don't commit. For me I'm more worried about why they felt they needed to do something they are not comfortable with. Anyway. Lol have to say I am enjoying this month of BL's. They are fantastic thrilling stories. Sorry your not having too much fun. What is your favourite BL's of all time? ❤️😊
What do you mean by 'sick' mind of a women?

Got ya. Yer these is nothing more sad to see in a BL and will turn me off quickly when you see actors that clearly feel uncomfortable in the role. Many acting jobs to avoid such things. I'm only half way through Fukami... It never grabbed me that strongly and now I kinda feel why. It's on my back list to finish, but their is just so many good BL's right now to keep up with. Today is about finishing up ticket to heaven for me. Until Mr Kill premieres.

I agree. Just from the first ep I feel it has hit harder and I think it is because of the Actors tbh.

Only Japan would come up with something so absurd lol. “I’m not gay, but I want nothing more than to achieve…
Hehe boys learning himself... Sexuality is fluid. Learning what you like takes times. Labels only mean so much. ❤️ I don't think it's such a crazy concept. A lot of people start of wanting to try something physically before knowing what they are.

anyone know why mdl says 'this show has not started yet' when I try to add to my watch list? I just watched ep…
I can watch it on Gagaoolala in Australia. But like you can't add it. Maybe it will tick over once the day has ended... Odd bug.

Okumi Hideaki is such a impressively tall guy!!! I love the size difference here. 🫪😊
It's short but gets right into the story. And omg is it a sexy story! Just from the first ep I know this will a easy easy watch for me each week. J-BL just came out swinging with this one. Can recommend popping it into the watch list.

Title Payback
Yer I don't mind spoilers, what is the meaning in the manhwa?
Thank you to both of you for explaining that. I can see why the writer would put it in.

Title Bittersweet Love Spoiler
So he tends to say it just after Xiao Fan does something that makes it very hard to resist... And by god you can…
Omg!!! Yes! That would be so good. Well apparently in the novel's things shift. I don't know how, trying to stay away from to many spoilers.
But we already have seen after the wedding how he knows how to play possum at least. The way he sits up on the bed after his brother in law tells him to drop the act. He looks a little to relaxed for being caught out lying. The way he also takes a lot of abuse. I don't know if he is just a very submissive gentle guy... or is he biding time like on Payback BL. How Sun allows the rich kids in his class to bully him all so he could create a false idea if his weakness and take them out one on one in the boxing ring.

Thank you so much for sharing those recommendations. Please feel free to share with me any time because I love staying updated on what is good. Plus you recommends are spot on. Hehehe ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I am currently watching and up to date on both Deep in and the prosecutor's proposal. Both are just fantastic in their own elements. But In Deep with them filming a BL withing a BL... That also is extremely good.. is just winning me over this year.

I'm also really enjoying The Edge of Horizon, for it's political angst prince loving a Soldier storyline. And Bittersweet Love has started off soft but I hear it gets very revange plot driven half way through. The uke in it is just so sweet, but turns the tides in the novel.

I also struggled hard finishing peach love. Like you said, lots of NC but it has no plot behind it and sadly grew a bit old. Tide of love i am still only two EPs in. It never grabbed me, and so it's on the back burner...

For all the crybabies have several seats. If you do not like this series drop it and return to your China and Korean…
I totally get defending a plot. But insulting other countries BL's in the process... 👎

Focus on your point and story. It's about sharing why it's worth watching. X prove the haters wrong with strong augment.

Enjoy xx
