I don't like the ending I'll always liked lu wu sisters more than jilu mains though I like them a lot but luwu🥲
in a way, the fox sisters are actually what pulled me into watching this in the first place. their fox transformations are phenomenal, visually striking and emotionally engaging. The drama could have attracted even more viewers if gjm had leaned into their sisterhood more, because it’s rare for c-dramas to center that kind of bond with real depth and consistency. but knowing gjm’s usual approach, female character don’t always get the focus they deserve, lol. instead of fully developing that dynamic, it feels like a missed opportunity that could’ve added a lot more heart and uniqueness to the story. at times it almost feels like the drama is more focused on showcasing how one particular character can play multiple role rather than building a well-rounded plot for everyone involved.
First time watching a drama with 4 leads, lol great acting, the 4 leads are fully immersed in their roles and really bring their characters to life. what brings it down for me is how joseph character was handled. he’s introduced as the “10th dragon,” the last hope to save the world, but the writing barely explores his depth or growth, so he ends up feeling underutilized. Lol. I like wanyan's character, she’s strong-willed and self-reliant, making her own choices and holding her ground. in contrast, luwuyi feels underwritten, at times she comes across like an npc whose role mainly revolves around supporting the male lead rather than having her own agency and development.
Overall, the acting is strong across the board, but the character writing doesn’t always match that level. still, i hope all four leads continue to get better projects in the future that truly showcase their range and give them more layered roles.
Well, what a remarkable achievement 29 episodes, 40 minutes each, a grand total of 1,160 minutes… and somehow…
Lol. CDL’s character was written really well, she’s independent, fluid, and mature. It's jingyi character writing did her dirty, she comes off as overly love-driven, pouring her whole life into the man she loves.
cdl’s role in fof was handled poorly by gjm’s too, but she still chose to collaborate with him again, lol. in her l’officiel interview, she prepared a lot for this drama, especially with all the fighting scenes and she was drawn to the character of wwy because of her maturity and depth. So it wasn’t about screen time for her, it was about the role itself. same goes for joseph, he genuinely likes his character and put real effort into it. Both of them seem more focused on the substance of their roles rather than how many mins. they appear on screen. As for tiAn, we can’t really deny that he’s the one being heavily promoted in this drama but he can act. his acting deserve an exposure, his talent is a gem. And for Jingyi, she definitely benefited as well, she many not have the most screentime but her presence still left a strong impression.
I gotta say, both CDL and JZ had the most impactful cameo roles. They successfully pulled in viewers in Episode…
Oh please. you problematic cdl fans have been tearing this drama down after the illusion arc just because it doesn’t revolve entirely around your fave. You’ve been flooding every platforms with rage bait, throwing insults at jingyi and tian, spamming youku bullet comments with negativity that’s off-putting for normal viewers. This isn’t anything new, you’ve been doing the same thing since tteom. Some of you even pretended to be joseph fans just to stir up more chaos, which is ironic because his fandom isn’t known for this kind of behavior. You did the same thing too with lonely heroes, all while conveniently forgetting that your favorite also benefited from strong screen time as a supporting role back in TTEOM. even yiran is receiving the same toxicity. Honestly, this level of behavior is on another level, it’s becoming uncomfortable to even see people associated with your fave at this point.
One couple fandom are so dominant here with likes and comment that would make random fans feel the others are…
the fact that two fandoms are deliberately trying to sabotage this drama honestly makes me sick. it’s like they’re not watching for the plot anymore, just pushing agendas and tearing things down. CDL and ZSX really don’t deserve that kind of fan behavior. i just hope their future next dramas get the appreciation they deserve and succeed.
i'll wait until I finish episodes 24–29 before I judge. This show often feels like each episode is full of questions. Lol. but then a few eps later, everything clicks into place. When you look back, you realize it was all foreshadowing and you just can’t get out of it. It’s just like MJTY, everything made sense once all the episodes were released.
this drama wouldn’t even feel that complicated if we could watch all the episodes. since it’s an original script, we literally don’t know anything in advance, a xianxia/xuanhuan. time travel and timelines are rarely straightforward. it’s not like other dramas where time travel is simple and immediately explained lol, Here, everything is layered on purpose, so of course it feels confusing right now. but i can already see that the answers are being revealed step by step with each episode, it’s just slow unfolding, it’s just not spoon-feeding everything at once, and some viewers really aren’t used to that kind of storytelling lol
You're overhyping cdl's acting. she is a good actress, but her range feels limited, she excels in serious roles, but when it comes to comedy, it doesn’t land as naturally, unlike bailu lol
