EP2 was already better and more fun than EP1, the drama definitely has the potential to deliver a great story that keeps getting better until the end. I’m hoping HuiJu and Yi An are well developed both individually and together.
After watching all the trailers multiple times, i can tell the best fights and the biggest use of visual effects were saved for the final eps. I don’t think we’re ready for what’s coming!!! 😭🔥
just remove cdl and zsx from the poster like are you sure they are also main leads because the amount of screen…
From eps 12 to 18, WSG and WWY were basically the main focus of the story, with a really well-developed arc and some amazing dramatic scenes. JJY and TJR’s characters took more of a backseat during those episodes, but now they’re getting the spotlight again, and that’s just how it goes in a drama where all four are main leads. Sometimes one pair shines more, and then it shifts to the others.
It’s way too early to judge anything about the drama, but iwas expecting a more promising start than what we got. I’ll keep watching because I love all of IU’s work, and I’m rooting for her and Wooseok to build some amazing chemistry!
I was NOT ready for Ji Ling and Wuyi’s scenes in ep 19 omg EVERYTHING was so beautiful 😭😭😭 they’re seriously one of the best things VoS has ever done, no question. And TJR’s acting??? So moving
📊 #VeilOfShadows, starring #JuJingyi, #ZengShunxi, #ChenDuling, and #TianJiarui, has achieved an impressive score of 8.5 on Weibo. Notably, 66.8% of viewers awarded it five stars, indicating strong public approval, while only 2.9% gave it a one-star rating.
So, Yuan Wuhuo was always the commander of the Shilin sect, and when he was on the verge of dying, he got possessed by the Butterfly Demon, which then took over his human form. One thing I’m kinda confused about: if there are two bodies existing at the same time, how does Li Jie fit into this? He was saved by Chi Wen and had his life restored, right? So did YWH create a new body based on his own appearance or something?
Episode 17 got me emotional just because the development of WSG and WWY is so beautiful and well done 😭you really feel everything with them: the pain, the disappointments, and the unconditional love that’s been growing in their hearts. The last 10 minutes of today’s episode were devastatingly beautiful.
I’m honestly blown away by everyone’s acting, but Chen Duling really stands out as the best here. Her dramatic scenes are just so good!!! You can feel all the confusion her character is going through.
Overall, I’m really happy with how amazing VoS is turning out. I just hope people don’t give up on the story because it seems confusing at first, they’re missing out on a gem.

I said that Jiu Ying is the force behind the catastrophes, but that’s not entirely correct, right? The real cause was the explosions of the Stellar Stone, but Jiu Ying took advantage of the situation to grow stronger amid all the fear and hatred (?)
I’m trying to piece together everything i’ve read with what i’ve watched and what i understand about the plot. I’ve gathered some information, let’s see if it makes sense:
Jiu Ying is the main force behind the four great catastrophes that caused countless deaths, wiped out entire clans, and tormented society for over a thousand years. After coming into contact with the Stellar Stone, he realized that hatred and fear amplified his power. From that moment on, he deliberately fueled the rivalry between humans and demons to ensure those emotions would always persist, allowing him to maintain and increase his strength.
Ji Ling is not the true Dragon God. He was originally a fox who was rescued by the Dragon King and later took on the form of Yuan Xizai, who is identical to Yuan Wuhuo. From Yuan Wuhuo’s perspective, he constantly sees Ji Ling’s face, because Yuan Xizai bears his appearance.
The Dragon God entrusted Ji Ling with his ring and the protection of the world, at least until a true successor could be found—Wu Shi Guang, the tenth son.
Both Lu Wu Yi and Wu Wang Yan became hosts for Jiu Ying at different points in the story, carrying out their actions while possessed. The massacre of Wu Shi Guang’s clan was not caused by Chi Wen, but by Jiu Ying, who had taken control of Wu Wang Yan. She only regained her senses after the entire clan had already been slaughtered.
In short, Jiu Ying is the true main antagonist of the story, while the Butterfly Demon (Yuan Wuhuo) acts as his right-hand ally. Together, they spread discord and destruction between humans and demons in exchange for greater power. Only Chi Wen or Wu Shi Guang, both dragons, have the ability to defeat them.
Now, one question remains: Jiu Ying’s true motivation is the Stellar Stone, correct? Is his ultimate goal to obtain absolute power and rule over the world while keeping it in a state of chaos?
I don’t think we’re ready for what’s coming!!! 😭🔥
