I think Wanseong’s communication was too healthy for some K-drama fans. They were so used to couples having 93832727 misunderstandings, breaking up 67 times, hiding their feelings for 11 episodes, and only getting back together in the last 20 minutes of the finale.
Meanwhile, Ian and Huiju actually talked things through, expressed their feelings, apologized when needed, and faced problems together like adults. No unnecessary drama, no endless miscommunication, just two people choosing each other over and over again. Maybe that’s why some people dropped the drama. They weren’t ready for a healthy relationship where communication is the solution instead of the problem and they called a healthy couple “boring.” 🙄 https://x.com/i/status/2063955028717817993
Put your review in the review section. Is that really too much common sense to expect? What’s the point of writing…
Oh my God, you already wrote a review and now you're here writing on behalf of someone who doesn't even have an MDL account. Girl how obsessed are you? And honestly if you had even a bit of common sense, you could have just posted this in the comments under your own review. Writing such a long review here instead—and not even using the spoiler feature—is nothing but stupidity

Reading that industry insider's comment about the PerfectCrown hate campaign gives me actual goosebumps. 😧“…
people kept insisting it was just criticism but the amount of nitpicking a romcom received from ep 1 made it obvious that many had already decided to hate the drama before it even found its footing. the issues were addressed yet the actors are still facing the fallout weeks later. they keep acting like the drama was some catastrophic failure when overall it was a decent romcom that still managed to achieve impressive ratings and milestones. if anything it just lacked the depth and time needed to give everything a more satisfying closure

“ In the first place, there was a reverse-viral [negative marketing] campaign in online communities targeting the actor. In the midst of that, I think the production company and the actors handled and cleaned it up appropriately.
My job involves monitoring multiple online communities, and the madness was honestly terrifying—to the point where I wondered if regular individuals, not professional agencies, could even pull this off. They were swaying public opinion by simultaneously spamming posts and comments across multiple communities during the dawn hours when regular users are less active. It made me think, 'Why go this far for a drama that has already ended?' > The production company or the actor's agency really needs to track down the users who first distributed the fabricated material in those communities. It’s seriously bizarre.” Source: https://x.com/i/status/2060670408765132979
This is so funny lmao someone edited themselves into Perfect Crown just to fix the main characters' problems for them 😂 watch the video 👇 https://x.com/i/status/2059413957765664981
Almost everyone in Korea sees her that way. She's very loved and respected as a celebrity there, and much of that…
Well written? Non-negative post? LMAO, what a joke!! 🤣 and no one asked for his personal thoughts or feelings, and no one told him to write a whole essay in the comments. The post was simply a beautiful video meant for people to watch and enjoy—nothing more. And it definitely wasn’t an invitation for a random debate about whether IU can act or not, because that’s not what the person who shared it was asking. So where exactly is all this unnecessary drama even coming from?

Your comment makes it pretty clear you’re being blindly critical. Forget Perfect Crown—you clearly haven’t even watched IU’s other dramas. If you had, you wouldn’t be leaving a comment this ignorant and nonsensical.
Either you don’t understand acting, or you simply refuse to acknowledge IU as an actor because she’s already a hugely successful, well-known musician. And if you genuinely believe that musicians can’t become good actors no matter how hard they work, that’s a deeply unfair and completely wrong assumption.
I’m not here to debate you, and I’m not interested in hearing any more baseless excuses. So please don’t reply to me again. I don’t need your opinion on whether IU can act or not.
The way Heo Nam Jun talks about IU tells you everything about the level of respect and admiration she has in the industry.
He genuinely sounded starstruck the entire time 😭 You can instantly feel how sincere, careful, and appreciative he is whenever he mentions her. It doesn’t even come across like he’s talking about “just a co-star” — he speaks about her like someone he deeply respects both as an artist and as a person, almost like she’s a dream-like figure he still can’t believe he got to meet and work with.

i cant believe iu went from THE wlgyt to whatever this shit is. what even more disappointing is her acting, girly…
First of all, if IU’s character felt cringe to you, that only means IU acted so well that she brought the character to life exactly as intended.
Secondly, your comment clearly shows that this drama simply is not your type. Everyone has different tastes, and this kind of drama is not for everyone. IU usually does not take on dramas like this either, and with this performance, she has proven that she can portray very different characters beautifully. To me, her acting was outstanding. And one more thing — IU’s last three or four dramas were all at an award-worthy level. Expecting an actor to deliver the best drama every single time is honestly an unrealistic expectation.
Anyway, this drama is simply not the kind of show for you. You could have just chosen not to watch it. The trailer, and even the first few moments, already made it clear what kind of drama it would be and what IU’s character would be like. You only wasted your own time, and by coming into the comment section to say this, you are only making yourself look foolish.
