There is no doubt that YinWar have amazing chemistry. But this series the NC scenes felt a bit flat. I am not saying that cos Yin posted about how he could never be War's BF, as I do not confuse on-screen chemistry with real life and I do not buy into all these commercial BL couples who make fans ship them for years and milk them for money with all their 'fan-meets' before finally going back to their straight lives but I mean that they still have great on-screen chemistry but the director really underplayed the NC scenes for this one. They had way hotter scenes in other series. I want more!

They need to just kiss and profess their undying love already! I know we won't get that especially seeing all the homophobic comments from Korean watchers here but hopefully someone makes an AI edit of this series: it deserves to be made into a real BL!

I feel sad for the female lead. Whoever wrote the script did complete disservice to her. She is the only one dimensional character in the series. The big emotional moments are just between the two male leads: anger, pain, love, tragedy, redemption etc. She is just there as a prop for the two of them. Even her most heated moment is when she is trying to get them to understand each other. They should have just not written her into the script and had a sister/relative perform what little she adds to the story. Queer baiting is one thing but this feels misogynistic.

If you watch the newly released BTS and interviews to promote the show, it is pretty obvious that the producers did want the whole BL fanbase to ship the male leads as a couple to increase international viewership. Otherwise why release shots of the male leads hugging, playing tag, mock fighting, teasing etc? Also in the lives and interactions why is it only the male leads playing games that we usually associate with BL on-screen couples? And it is interesting to see that the FL has been pretty much ignored in the BTS release so far. Anyway it is up to anyone to interpret the two MLs relationship as they like but some of the confusion in part is in how the drama has been packaged and promoted, so you cannot judge BL fans for seeing it as one.

Hahah. I mean there is a lot of chemistry between females too but that doesnt make it gl. Romance is more than…
Yes romance is a lot more than that: smoldering looks at each other, holding hands, supporting each other and helping each other get over their weaknesses, looking out for each other, going on dates, having epic fights, being lost in their own bubble, being lost without the other, taking care of each other's wounds: all there in this relationship! Every single BL trope is there. All that's missing at this point is a kiss!

How can this not be a BL? The chemistry between the two male leads is insane! I read some comments saying that there is going be a love rivalry between the two guys and the girl but there is absolutely ZERO chemistry between any of the guys and her. I am loving it so far but it goes down that route then this was such a missed opportunity: man these two really make a hot couple!!
