I agree!! That zhongwan plot kind of ruined this show. It was unnecessary. Don't know what was their thought process

That scene was powerful where the emperor voluntarily accepts flogging to repeal an ancient law banning romance between ruler and nobles so he can marry the fl. Masterpiece scene for me and zheyuan acted so well. Only take a way for me from the end episodes

C drama now a days don't follow the novel much they just gets inspiration from novel that's it and then they change the story however they want

Czy is doing a great job as an emperor here and his acting is the only saving grace for me of this show but his screentime is so less than even the side characters in most of the episodes. I find all the couple romance of this show awkward and embarrassing. I'm more interested in the court scenes than romance

May be they aren't her fans because it's stupid to ship fl with Sml/villain. They aren't really thinking about her character in the drama but just riding on their fantasy ship.. because no real fan wants to see fl being pendulum

Exactly! They for sure revived the script benefiting the sml. Iqiyi was so evil to chen zheyuan like they appointed a new brand ambassador way before his contract got over..they always disrespect him

I think Ao chi as a character doesn't require ship to stay relevant in the drama like his character is super strong and best from others as what I read from script readers.. tbh I also feel wcr and deng kai looks perfect together and hope they end up together 😆👍🏻

Ao chi character only love sha luo and that's what makes him above everyone.. we can't act like fl fans and want him to end with other woman.. think about his character too.. fl fans will realise all this when this drama will air and how irritating fl will look when she priotise sml over ml 😆 let them ship her with Sml.. for me more than anything else chen zheyuan character matters

If i'm not wrong iqiyi is now the sole producer of this drama.. initially open pictures were co proucers who were also producer of chen zheyuan previous dramas, iqiyi may have changed the script now.. we can't trust iqiyi when it comes to chen zheyuan

That's because wcr fans want deng kai and wang churan to be the endgame. They were never into sha luo and Ao chi ship, Tbh the way they are priotising sml and his scenes I'm so doubtful about Chen zheyuan screentime.

I don't know what to expect from this drama anymore. Fl is having more scenes with Sml also sml having equal scenes as leads. Iqiyi is playing big
