I don’t know if this is one of the for sure ways of telling them apart but I’m noticing that they’re mostly editing out the little brown spot in TXW’s left eye when she plays Jundai and leaving it in for Achou?
question about yuchan and xiaolian’s status at the end
Since nanke and jiugao were freed from their servant statuses due to military merit, does this mean they were also freed after marrying them? I ask because there’s this scene after lanxiang takes over the household where all the women are sitting together and it looks like yuchan and xiaolian are sitting with the other madams instead of standing like baogai and the servants.
does anyone know what the birth order is amongst all the Lin grandchildren? my guess is: Jinqi (1), Xiulai (1), Jinlan (2), Xiuwan (2), Xiuru (3), Jinqiao (3), Xiushu (4), Jincen (4) *Note: Xiulai is older than Jinlan, he calls her “大姐” *Note 2: Considering Jinqiao’s marriage was arranged after Xiuwan/Xiuru, he may be younger?
i think JQ not being one of the things she lives for is very in line with her character. i also wouldn't be surprised…
I agree. I think today’s scenes at the funeral and with the burning of evidence shows that she truly does love him through her expressions. but compared to her parents and her daughter, he’s not someone she lives for. he isn’t dependent on her. more of an add-on honestly. she would’ve still been living fine without him.
All of a sudden second madam has amnesia and forgot who she relied on when the entire manor was quarantined because…
the second madam has always been easily swayed by other people’s opinions and now the third sister in law is always whispering in her ear unfortunately. since their branch has the eldest great-grandson, I guess they’re feeling a sense of entitlement.
any idea of how many years have passed since the death of her family? is it 10 years or more?
this timeline confuses me too because when she was talking to the performer furong, furong said that it’s been over 20 years since her family passed in a similar matter to LX’s. if it’s only been 14-15 years of LX, why did FR’s family get executed so much earlier?
LJQ in the latest two episodes has been so insufferable - like everyone else is miserable besides him. Anytime they show his smirk during the wedding scenes, I need to look away. but I’m glad we’re getting a flawed lead character since it brings more depth to the story.
Maybe I'm just tired today but I had a hard time concentrating on this show. It feels really slow paced but not…
Same here, the vibe between the leads are the same every time they meet. Probably because the characters are both master manipulators, but it's feeling rather repetitive.
