to crack the stone the egg would require turning into steel but could it still retain the yolk? the whites certainly would have to change and turn into steel too coz just the outer shell turning steel wouldnt be enough. but what about the yolk?
keep it in its original nature and you face inward collapse. at the moment of high-speed impact the intense force will push the steel inward but the soft squishy nature of the yolk can offer zero resistance to hold up the steel egg's structure. thus instead of transferring all the energy from its speed and motion into the stone to crack it, the egg will just use up its own energy instead. crumpling, flattening, or tearing itself apart as the soft yolk itself bursts out through the steel.
I also see there are some who'd take any fantasies they are fed just bcz they no longer have basic common sense…
those who wanted a girlboss who cares for no man and singlemindedly seek absolute power and revenge and unaffected by love or emotions are disappointed, those who wanted the leads to be super smart and ruthless, figuring out all ploys 5 steps ahead and destroy everyone in the way, eradicate corruption and take over the power becoming mini kings and queens are disappointed, those who wanted a ml who would hang onto the fl's every word obediently and exist to fulfill her purpose only and declare undying love on a daily basis are disappointed, 'yandere obsessed overpowered ml who had no soul before the fl' fans are disappointed, mary sue fl fans are disappointed, those who wanted villains who can destroy anyone else, seem menacing but get obiliterated by the leads without much of a true challenge anyway are disappointed, those who have been projecting into the characters are disappointed, those who wanted perfect leads who makes no mistakes and are always rational and remain unchanged are disappointed, those who wanted fluffy passionate romance and leads acting like teens in love throughout the whole drama are disappointed, those who saw the ending spoilers and now think they had it all figured out beforehand all by themselves are disappointed, those who expected a pure gritty historical like swords into ploughshares are also disappointed.
im worried about the dramas rating post ending among these sea of disappointments tbh.

we all can see its not the right way to go but considering what he has been like, we cant expect a panicked man to take calm level headed decisions at this moment. this is the difference between evil experienced veterans who have no bonds they are attached to and can sacrifice anyone vs hopeful morally good inexperienced young ppl who have everything to lose and cant sacrifice anyone.

i can see that under all this he's actually very panicked. he doesnt handle losses well. it makes him feel helpless and nervous and the old fear of not being able to protect tingyun rises up full force again.
im very upset that he just used ah sen's engagement this way too. tingyun outta panic for zhao ling also had to request madam wang to accept this match which is TOTALLY not how it should have been. they wouldve agreed nicely anyway without turning it so transactional.
really loved zhao ling's expression when tingyun was listing all the times he listened to her irrespective of wanting to or not. he always becomes like this whenever he loses someone. last time he took a massive decision was after yc's death and now again after mom's death
