This drama is not that bad the way everyone in the comments is making it out to be. As someone who’s been watching…
Could you please share some BLs that are much worse than this?
Because for me, it’s been mostly frustration and hope that some of the truly good premises would eventually be meaningfully developed, only for them to be mentioned superficially and then dropped. I also feel a little sorry for the actors, because I wonder how the weak plotlines, worldbuilding and production will affect their careers, especially with how good the promo was and how many eyes were on them. And honestly, my overall approach was amusement at how ridiculous most of it is. :)))
I’m still watching because I love and have nostalgia for omegaverse, I’ve grown increasingly fond of BoatOat and the other pairings I discovered through this series, and I still want to see where these vague, underdeveloped storylines go. There are so many ideas here that could have been actually interesting with much more care.
And the writing isn’t even the only problem. There’s also the camera work, decor, lighting, styling, action sequences, pacing, line cadence, etc. I’ve even wondered if the huge gaps between lines are intentional so they can show the pheromones being released. :)) I also think the severe lack of character development contributes to this, since if the characters aren’t sufficiently established, it's difficult to make anything feel consistent or intentional.
So I don’t think everything about the series is awful. There are things I really, really enjoy and look forward to, but very, very far from „everything else has been beautiful and perfect”. :)))
Nakhun bit Phatsa again during the knotting last episode
Also, I think once the knotting happens, or how Nakhun put it „the bond is complete”, the bite mark might intensify, like reinforcing its shape and colour, sometimes glow, or feel like a burning sensation when something gets close to it. I don't remember precisely, it's been a while since I've read ABO, but I do believe the mark reappearing has to do with the knot.
Umm... why is Phatsa suddenly working with Nakhun in a 3-piece suit? Paired with those ridiculous little disposable slippers at that too? :))))) And when they’re being affectionate, the secretary walks into the office without knocking or announcing himself just to give them a thumbs-up :))))))
The secretary suddenly deciding to support the family was probably the most random part of the entire series. This man has ZERO personality (other than his funky bob :)) ), he never interacted with anyone other than the POS dad, we barely saw him (I can count his appearances on one hand), and suddenly he walks into the room only to announce that from now on he’ll take care of everything. :))))
Why? Who even are you, my guy? Does he love these brothers? Is it because he watched them grow up? Does he dislike/despise the POS dad? What prompted this dislike/hatred? Wasn't he his right hand (only?) lackey? Does this mean nothing to Funky Bob?
And the POS dad just... accepted everything? Just like that? No... fight, challenge, outburst...? Promise of revenge?
I actually like how this completely new bodyguard told Sangnuea that the bond is an invisible chain and that he’ll eventually crawl back to Naphitch. The entire speech was really good! It wasn’t really his place to say this, which makes it even more interesting. Even small fries feel like they have the power to antagonize others just to exert some control, as right as they may be.
And I really do feel for Sangnuea... Folk’s acting stepped up from last episode too. His eyes could kill and break hearts with so much emotion behind them, and the way he sat there with his knees to his chest was so pitiful, like a little feral cat being awry and grumpy. How can you not want to comfort and soothe him? He’s stuck in a family he believes destroyed his family, a family he despises and actually went through a lot of trouble to dispose of, in a confined space where he is unwelcome, maybe in heat, experiencing his bond to a man he harmed and manipulated before, and completely alone.
And I didn’t get the interaction I was actually most waiting for, Naphitch and Sangnuea. I’m so, so sad about it, and honestly concerned about next episode. After all that buildup, I wanted some kind of confrontation or emotional aftermath, anything to show where their relationship is going.
But we haven’t seen them together for even 30 seconds... The bodyguards got more screen time. Everyone else talks about their bond while Sangnuea sits there dealing with it as a prisoner, and Naphitch talks about how he’ll take responsibility, which is brave for someone who couldn’t even confess he had a crush so he forced his crush into being with him.
And wasn’t the immediate time after a bond supposed to be crucial? Weren’t they supposed to be as close as possible, otherwise the bond affects their mental state and well-being? And I mean literally being in each other's vicinity, no sexual acts. Wasn’t this established in episode 2? Is being in the same house now enough right after the bond?
This is one of the most complicated relationships in the story, which is why I’m more invested in them than anyone else. I really wanted to see what happens between them after that bond...(ᗒᗣᗕ)՞
This episode was absolutely useless. They literally recited the plot back to us. Eleven episodes in, and instead of completing Phatsa’s arc from his fighting and killing spree 2 episodes ago by having him stand up for himself in front of his dad, or simply not letting these jerks pull him around like children fighting over a ragdoll, we get the entire series explained through dialogue.
The neglectful dad and Nakhun speak about Phatsa like he’s not even in the room, like he’s some object they both hold dear and negotiate over. And Phatsa just sits there like a scared little mouse. He’s 24. Why does this self-inserted buffer even have this much weight in their relationship, let alone in Phatsa’s life?
Then Phatsa explains that learning he was an omega left him lost, he didn’t know how to face this world, and that his life never felt like his own choice. Which is especially ironic seeing as his father decides where he lives, IF he can leave (again: I’m sorry, what -___-), Nakhun decides he’s going to marry him, and all of this in front of Phatsa. He still didn’t really choose anything. After 11 episodes, his whole journey ends with his dad allowing him to go home with his boyfriend.
I also wish Nakhun had apologized to Phatsa for forcing their bond, instead of the absentee dad.
I had a very strong feeling Nakhun was going to say they knotted. And he actually did... In front of Phatsa’s dad. With the bodyguard still in the room.

Do the writers sincerely think this is what ABO is...? ABO is still supposed to contain normal people living normal lives, much like LGBTQ+ if you will. People aren’t walking around announcing their sex lives and bonding status to their parents like a medical update. No normal person is going to tell their parent „By the way, we already slept together, and in a very particular way too, so obviously we’re getting married”.
Also, why does the bodyguard get so much to say in whether Nakhun does or doesn’t do something? Though „Don’t be so clingy” was quite funny, I liked it :)) Felt like one of the most natural lines so far... and that’s sad, man :))) I understand that they might be close in age and have a more friendly relationship, but Nakhun has always been headstrong and the decision-maker, so seeing him just accept being told to settle down feels a little strange, especially when Phatsa was the person he wanted beside him and Phatsa wanted to be there too.
Phatsa: *Exists somewhere in the vicinity. Quietly. Looking down. Like the good, obedient omega that he is.*
Nakhun: „We’re soulmates. We bonded, so I took care of his body, and the bond is complete.” (Me: wut (๑﹏๑//) why would you...)
Phatsa: „Why did you tell my dad about that?” (Me: exactly (╥﹏╥))
Nakhun: „I love him.”
Phatsa: „I love him too.”
Dad: „I won’t hand over my child so easily.” (Me: listen, you MOFO, you abandoned and neglected him his whole life. What makes you think you get to have ANY say in his life or dictate anything now or even call him you child in the first place?)
Nakhun: „I’ll marry him.” (Me: Umm... wut? When did you discuss this privately, just the two of you?)
Dad: „Fine, but dowry.”
Dad: *I'll take Phatsa back and then force him to stay in his room just because I've changed my mind, I’m an asshole like that.*
Nakhun, for the second time: „But the bond is already complete.” (Me: for the love of God, please stop...)
Dad: „Fine.”
Happy ever after...?
What is there left for the last episode...? Hmmmm. Oh! I know, I know! Sangnuea and Naphitch? Amintra and Kingyok? Possibly mpreg too?
Ji Ming Xuan clearly cares about Shen Mo, but I love how contradictory the way he expresses it is. The longing, possessiveness and constant need to keep Shen Mo close are so obvious, especially in the restaurant bathroom scene, where “claiming” Shen Mo almost feels like he’s reassuring himself that he’s the one Shen Mo belongs with. Yet at the same time, he keeps pushing him away and uses the contract as a shield, while treating Shen Mo like he has no say in his own life. And dropping him to the ground whenever he wants to punish him... yeah, he’s still a jerk 😭
And Shen Mo… those puppy eyes 😭 He seems so lonely and resigned, but at the same time, really strong. He’s lost so much, including the ability to do what he loved, and is now having to navigate a life and a relationship he doesn’t even fully remember, yet he keeps going. I really hope his happy ever after comes quickly and fully for him!
I’m especially curious to discover what their relationship was actually like before Shen Mo lost his memories, what he really felt for Ji Ming Xuan back then, and how much of that might still be there underneath what he remembers now. There’s clearly so much they’re both not saying, and I’m really looking forward to seeing it unfold!
This will be a long one because I feel very passionately about this train wreck… Honestly, I wanted to give up on this episode multiple times and just skip entire scenes. That’s a first for me. The other episodes had plenty of things I wished were handled better, but I was mostly amused by them. This one has so many things that simply don’t make sense that it started feeling insulting, and the translation is absolutely awful.
But let's start with the most amazing thing, which is Phatsa and Nakhun easily being the highlight of the episode. I really liked the teasing between them, and I love how BoatOat acted here! :) There was so much tenderness in the way Nakhun kept trying to get closer to Phatsa even though there wasn't much room for either of them to move. Nakhun was so patient with him, and I loved the little game he created to get Phatsa to say what he was feeling. That whole exchange was adorable.
The way they looked at each other, the kissing, Nakhun’s confession between kisses... very, very cute. (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶) And for once, the lighting, music, even the hairstyles were actually good! I loved Boat’s hair here, it suits him so well. :)) The whole thing felt natural and romantic, and this was easily the best emotional scene we’ve gotten between them so far. I’m very happy with it!
The only thing I would change is having the love making a little later. I would have loved to see them just enjoy that moment first, maybe cuddling and caressing each other and processing everything that happened so far. Not all emotional moments need to lead to sex.
That being said, I really liked the NC scene too. It was passionate and tender, and I actually think the knot worked really well here because it fits the emotional momentum and all that pent-up energy between them. Even if the translation was horrible and made some of it harder to understand.
There was this beautiful shot of them in the car under that red sky, holding each other close, caressing each other's neck, head, and back, Nakhun brushing Phatsa’s hair away from his eyes, the way they held each other’s gaze and watched each other’s movements, and Nakhun leaving little bites along Phatsa’s shoulder and chest... It really felt like they were breathing each other in.
And I absolutely loved the bite Nakhun left on Phatsa’s neck! This was their moment, and they belonged to each other. Very, very beautiful. I especially loved the way Nakhun held Phatsa afterwards and kissed his neck over the bite, nuzzling their faces together and just enjoying being in each other’s arms, even during the afterglow when Phatsa fainted. And I’m glad enough time passed for the knot to go down and for them to get dressed before they were rescued. :))
Oat's acting was really good! I really appreciate BoatOut's performance here. This is the kind of scene where their acting skills and chemistry actually get to come through, and it was really nice to see. Some of the production choices in previous episodes have taken away from what they can do, so this was a treat. ⸜(｡˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡
I'm confused by the bullet wound, though. Was the bullet actually in his arm? Did it come out the other side? The translation is horrible, the wound was never actually shown, and there wasn't even much blood, just some blood splatter. Even Nakhun says there wasn't much blood. Also, his healing abilities are helping with the pain, so why was he clearly in pain when he was shot in the stomach, but not this time? Was it really just a scratch, like Nakhun said? If the bullet only grazed him and there wasn't much blood, then why did he need the tourniquet?
Phatsa only remembering hours later that Nakhun had been shot was also a little weird. It would make sense that one of the first things they did after killing Tim, which happened mere minutes after Nakhun was shot, would be to check the wound. But okay, maybe Phatsa was so affected by taking someone's life that once the immediate danger passed, he just wasn't thinking about anything else? But we saw no remorse from him... Idk, man...
And I absolutely hated whatever happened to Sangnuea in this episode.
I actually liked Sangnuea's mannerisms and presence in the previous episode. There was something interesting about the way he carried himself, but here everything was so exaggerated: the fake laughter, the shoulder shimmies (god I hated those, I cringed every time I saw them, and there were a lot...), the over-the-top crying and sighing, the staring down instead of actually looking at people... It gave me so much secondhand embarrassment. It felt like Folk was just telling us Sangnuea is an unstable, traumatised villain instead of actually making him feel like one. And I feel bad for him because I don't know how much of that was his interpretation versus the direction he got. The scene already had an enormous amount of exposition, so all those mannerisms just made it feel even more artificial. Was this really the direction they wanted to go with for this scene?
Especially because the actual story was already a mess. Continuing from the last episode with this long evil speech, Sangnuea believes Nakhin’s family destroyed his family, but even now we don’t really know why... ('''¬ ▵¬)~3
And so, Sangnuea was left with nothing, forced to survive by using people, and eventually turned all that resentment into revenge, disdain for himself as an omega, and envy for those who can live as themselves, which is actually really interesting.
But if the revenge plot depends on this deep history and is important enough to define Sangnuea’s entire motivation, it needed to be established much better.
The way he survives by manipulating people, including letting those men touch him just so he could steal from them... (·•᷄ࡇ•᷅ ) Just awful. I truly hate that for him. My poor baby! (╥﹏╥) But at least this gave us something tangible. He learned to survive by using whatever he had, including the fact that people underestimated and objectified him because he was an omega. That actually gives his hatred of being an omega and the ABO system some weight. But it doesn't properly connect to how Nakhin's family actually hurt Sangnuea's, or how Sangnuea even ended up in this position.
And also... is he really the mastermind...? Kind of difficult to believe that for me, but I guess there's no one else...
Sangnuea uses people, but what did he actually get from Phatsa, Ongsa, Nakhin, or Nakhun? The only information we actually saw him get was that the brothers would be going out, and he got that from Naphitch, independently of the others. So why approach Phatsa and Ongsa at all? When they first met, they had no real connection to Nakhun or Nakhin beyond their bodyguards picking up orders from Ongsa’s cafe. He could have gone directly after the bodyguards and manipulated them into getting information about the family. Wouldn’t that make more sense? Lucky for him, I guess, that Nakhun forced the bite on Phatsa. But to what use, since he obtained nothing from them...?
And why specifically approach Ongsa and reveal his true nature to him? Was it because he expected the brothers to get hurt or die, and saw this as an opportunity to hurt Ongsa because he envied that Ongsa could „defy” the ABO status quo through his relationship with Nakhin? Was it just pure malicious satisfaction? I wish all of this had been shown so much more clearly. It all sounds so interesting, but the delivery... leaves so much to be desired.
Then we get the pheromone scene, and the logic completely falls apart again. Sangnuea is an omega but can apparently overpower Nakhin, a true alpha, grabbing him, pushing him around and pinning him against a wall, all with his pheromones. Why isn’t Nakhin fighting harder? Why is he just standing there while Ongsa gets pushed to the ground? At least try to resist and release his own pheromones. As a true alpha, surely he should be able to affect Sangnuea enough to stop him.
And yes, an alpha can obviously be affected by an omega's pheromones enough to lose their discernment for a few moments. But why did they have to show Naphitch's crotch? We understand that he's affected. We didn't need to see how he... grabs his junior? or pushes his pants away from it? What was the point of that shot? Just to show how overwhelming Sangnuea’s pheromones are?
Is Sangnuea supposed to be a true omega too? Maybe this would explain how strong he is.
Also, Naphitch is clearly affected, but he's still able to resist enough to stand his ground, grab Sangnuea, and speak to him. If he can do all that, then he can hold him there while Nakhin or Ongsa calls the bodyguards. They could call the police. They're supposed to have all these connections, they could call literally anyone to come and capture him and hold him down or something.
The point is, Sangnuea could have been restrained without Naphitch biting him. So what exactly was Naphitch's reasoning for the forced bond?
Because right now, we're supposed to believe that Naphitch forcibly bonded himself to Sangnuea to prevent him from forcing Nakhin into a bond. But emotionally and logically, it doesn't make sense!
This is assault. No doubt about it. Did you see how Sangnuea cried in pain from the bite? How he looked when he fell to his knees? Granted, Sangnuea was trying to do the same to Nakhin... they really are a perfect fit for each other... I really hate these kinds of storylines in ABO. I don’t care if the show later tries to frame it as protective or romantic. Naphitch was lucid enough to restrain Sangnuea and fight through his pheromones, but he chose to escalate the situation into a forced bond that ties them together for life.
What is wrong with these brothers? The oldest and youngest force a permanent bond, and the middle forces a kiss.
The promos show them as an endgame couple, but how exactly is Sangnuea supposed to have an arc for all the horrific shi* he did and still have a healthy relationship with Naphitch? And how is Naphitch supposed to have an arc that acknowledges that he unnecessarily forced their bond, took away Sangnuea’s autonomy, and permanently tied himself to him? There are only two episodes left.
There might actually be an interesting story buried underneath all of this, and I love enemies to lovers stories. But the show isn't giving us enough of the psychological steps between one decision and the next.
And what does „From now on… with your hatred” mean? Maybe it's supposed to be „From now on, I'll bear your hatred” or „Your hatred is mine now” or something along those lines?
The GPS tracker doesn’t make sense either. If the tracker was already on Phatsa’s car, shouldn’t it have been tracking the car from the moment Phatsa drove it back to Nakhun’s place? What about all the time the car was sitting on Nakhun’s property, right under their nose? What, were the garage walls 30 cm thick that the GPS didn’t work properly?
The hospital database explanation doesn’t really make sense either. Earlier, we were told that information about the pure omega couldn’t simply be accessed through hospital records, and now apparently it can for some unknown reason.
This episode has so many problems at once: the continuity, exposition, motivations, translation, and the logic. It just feels like the worst episode ever.
The Phatsa and Nakhun parts saved it for me. Their confession was adorable, the kiss was beautiful, the acting was good, and the NC scene really worked. But everything surrounding Sangnuea was so frustrating that I genuinely don’t know what the f the writers were trying to accomplish.
Six armed men are standing in the middle of nowhere, in the middle of the road, with no car anywhere in sight, waiting for their targets to arrive. Then the brothers stop directly in front of them... and get out of the car... all 3 of them, right in front of the sketchy dudes. Why would anyone do this? Are these guys still gangsters? :)))) If you have 6 armed men against 3 people, hide somewhere, block their path with something else other than yourselves, and shoot from different directions. Do literally anything that resembles an ambush. And because apparently nobody in this trio has peripheral vision, they run directly into Tim standing in the middle of an open area. How did he even know exactly where they would run? And why did the bodyguards not surround them but just go behind / next to Tim? These idiots, the whole bunch of them! :))))
Naphitch's reaction to the jacket with Sangnuea's scent is extremely strong, and I love it! They only had 2 encounters before this, and even in omegaverse stories people can obviously have one night stands and move on. But this makes me wonder if a bond is already forming between them even without the bite mark. Like, imagine what the bite would do! 〒▽〒 This is so fun. I want to read fanfiction about these dudes.
I didn't even consider that Tim and Sangnuea could be related, so I was really surprised when Tim said they were brothers. Even if we learn later that's not the case, it was still a genuinely good reveal.
And then everyone is talking about getting into the car and escaping while just standing next to the cars. Get in the bloody cars! Eventually the convertible gets absolutely destroyed by bullets, including the door, while somehow not a single bullet hits either Phatsa or Nakhun. Of course the protagonists have plot armor! Nakhun, Naphitch, Nakhin, Phatsa, whoever they fight, it doesn't matter because they don't get an f-ing bruise. No scratch, no blood on their knuckles, not a smudge of dirt on their clothes or hands, not even a drop of sweat on their faces. Okay, we do finally see some sweat on the back of Phatsa's t-shirt toward the end, and they look a little dishevelled after getting shot, but still. :))))
Why didn't Ongsa say earlier that he suspected Sangnuea was involved in something? Not a huge deal, but they could have mentioned it last episode, maybe when they were at Ongsa's coffee shop with Amintra.
Sangnuea's scenes with Ongsa were very entertaining, especially because Folk's acting really stood out. His mannerisms were the same as when he was seducing Naphitch, except now he's provoking and hurting Ongsa. What an asshole! Even the way he looked at Ongsa felt intentional. Folk is definitely standing out in the cast and makes Sangnuea much more interesting to watch. I also found it interesting that Sangnuea clearly despises how secondary gender determine where people belong, yet he still uses that same hierarchy to belittle Ongsa on who he should love. It's a fun contradiction, even if the show isn't handling it with much subtlety. And why did he chose that particular moment to approach Ongsa?
Can someone please tell me where Naphitch was for like five minutes? Didn't he come together with Nakhin? Did he take a shower outside? Did he go home? Where is he? Is he relieving himself somewhere in the bushes? Is he finding a parking space? :))
Another thing that really surprised me was Sangnuea admitting that he actually sold Mai. This is unforgivable. Up until now, there was still room to see him manipulating circumstances to get revenge, or maybe being forced into the scheme. Actually selling someone is a completely different level of involvement. I still don't believe he is the mastermind behind everything, though. I feel like he's taking responsibility for something or protecting someone. Who is the boss Tim was talking about when he said „It's all because of you that my boss ended up like this today”? Tim called Sangnuea his brother, so clearly this is someone else, and I have a feeling it might be someone from Sangnuea's family. Let's see. How would he even redeem himself after all of this? Will they even end up together? Stuff like this are exciting! o(≧▽≦)o
The writers spent so much of the series making Phatsa passive, underestimated, and constantly being forcibly attended to, only to build up his big moment. And honestly, good for him! I was expecting him taking charge for a while now. I kept wondering whether Tim was an alpha or a beta because I thought Phatsa was going to subdue him with his pheromones. Killing him was completely unexpected!!
The two shots against the bodyguards are easier to justify. They were actively fighting them, their lives were on the line, and Phatsa was protecting himself and Nakhun. But looking Tim directly in the eyes and deliberately shooting him in the head while standing right above him is on a whole different level. He had no hesitation and apparently no remorse either. It reminded me a lot of KinnPorsche, because in comparison Phatsa suddenly has absolutely no reservation about killing, which is out of character. I don't necessarily dislike the direction, but something this drastic needs some emotional build-up or consequence. Right now, I genuinely don't know how I feel about it.
Nakhun and Phatsa's little romantic moments are really cute. I loved the kiss, the forehead touching, Phatsa checking whether Nakhun is okay, and Nakhun reassuring him that it's only a scratch. Their tenderness worked really well and their chemistry felt especially good here. :))))
Overall, I actually enjoyed this episode. It was still way too slow for me, and I was watching at 1.25x and sometimes 2x speed. And there was a lot of weird and downright stupid stuff going on, but there was a lot here that I found interesting too.
I have a question though. Wouldn't nakhun and nakhin but able to smell Sangnuea on their brother after he showed…
This is a great question! Usually, a thorough shower can reduce another person’s scent on the skin, though it doesn’t necessarily remove it completely in one wash. So maybe if Naphitch took a really thorough shower, it could reduce the scent enough that it would only be noticeable if someone were very, very close to him? It depends from story to story. Usually, you need multiple showers and clean clothes to fully remove the scent, and/or use a different scent to mask or overpower the first one (like having someone else’s scent on you, being surrounded by a strong smell, like at a fish market, or simply using magic :) ).
But even if Naphitch had taken a shower, he was still wearing the exact same clothes from the night before, and those clothes obviously still had Sangneua’s scent on them since they were rutting together mere hours ago. So he was basically transferring that scent onto himself again.
And especially considering that both Nakhun and Nakhin are true alphas (enhanced skills, so a better sense of smell too) and already know Sangneua’s scent, of course it makes no sense that neither of them noticed anything, you’re right.
Mai is the girl who was with Sangneaua at the club when she intentionally spilled the drink on Naphitch in episode 5.
And Tim is the guy who manages Nakhun’s club, and we saw him in episode 1 bringing Nakhun a drink, and again around episode 3 in prison, when Nakhun found out that he had been dealing drugs at the club behind his back.
At this point we only have: 1. Mai, Tim and Sangneaua possibly teaming up, 2. the club, warehouse, and land plots, 3. Amintra’s ambitions to compete with or destroy the family, plus her relationship with Kingyok, 4. the trafficking accusation, 5. the mysterious group working behind the scenes (which may also be behind the concealment of the pure omega’s identity at the hospital?), and 6. the increasingly frequent attacks on the family.
But still no actual structure to this mafia world. We don’t know what the power struggle is even about. And there are only 4 episodes left! (┬┬﹏┬┬)
For the love of God, who is actually fighting with whom, and over what? Why is that land so important? What do the people targeting them even want? What is their actual underworld business about?
...How am I supposed to understand enough of the story to look forward to the resolution, or even care, really?
The first scene was so excruciatingly slow, awkwardly written, and downright poorly edited.
At 6:53, Phatsa is talking without moving his lips, and then they cut right in the middle of him speaking without changing the framing, camera angle, or anything else that could disguise the cut. Like... guys. ( T﹏T ) We can see his entire upper body. How are we supposed not to notice?
And they’re discussing something so serious (human trafficking! and someone trying to destroy the family), yet everyone is sitting crammed together in a corner, in the exact same positions, delivering their lines with zero urgency and long, unnecessary pauses. I had to watch at 1.5x just for the scene to feel normally dynamic. (Though, it was actually quite amusing to see Boat trying to make himself smaller, and at this point the sofas are basically another character :) ).
And it really bothers me how little they seem to feel about any of it. We should see them alarmed because their safety is threatened, furious at the audacity of someone challenging their position. And when Sangneaua became a suspect, there should at least be some surprise because until now there wasn't really any reason to see him as particularly untrustworthy. There should be fear too, of course, maybe showing up as suspicion and a desperate need to find who’s responsible and take back control.
Instead, their reactions feel so... mild.
Which brings me to the security, because it's so absurd that it's almost funny! :)
The attacks have been escalating since the very beginning (including when Nakhun was shot), yet there’s been NO investigation at all. Now they know an organised group is targeting them systematically, possibly with people already inside their circle, but somehow the security is even worse?
All the brothers leave together in the same car while every bodyguard is conveniently unavailable? That’s exactly the kind of situation any competent person would avoid. These people are supposedly running a powerful and scary criminal family, but they act like they have no idea what they’re doing. How did they even get to this status in the first place when they act like this? And is there really no right-hand man besides Nakhin who can lead security and handle the investigation?
Also, four episodes left and Nakhun is still treating this grown man like a child he needs to keep inside with snacks because apparently the outside world is too hot? So tell me WHY doesn't he make any actual effort to prevent Phatsa from coming with the documents? He can apparently go not only with no bodyguards, but completely alone!
This is so ridiculous that I find most of these scenes funny, but it’s also irritating because the show misses almost every point it should hit here. These moments should feel high-stakes and urgent, but the flat delivery and constant repetition of the same stuff from earlier episodes kill any momentum. There’s not enough new information, escalation, or real emotion to make me anticipate what’s next, so I’m mostly just getting sleepy.
I just want to understand the actual conflict and feel some real stakes before the last episodes...

It depends from one world to another and I haven't really read much of this type of story where cheating was involved, so I'm not entirely sure either. The bond is obviously an extraordinarily deep emotional and physical connection, but how exclusive it is depends on the story. In some universes, when the bond is affected (so here can be intimacy with someone else) can cause some type of physical reactions like sharp ache at the claim mark or scent rejection or chest tightness or they can't get aroused with someone else, while in others it's primarily emotional and can intensify feelings like guilt, shame, or feeling unwanted.
What we know so far here is that bonded mates can feel what the other is experiencing. We saw it when Phatsa got the knife cut, when Nakhun got shot, and in episode 4 when I (used to...?) believe Phatsa started his heat after realizing what Nakhun was doing in that bathroom. But we haven't seen anything establishing that the bond prevents intimacy with someone else or causes pain specifically when someone cheats.
The only thing that may suggest that is Nakhin saying that Sangneua's pheromones smell like chilli :)) But Nakhin and Ongsa aren't bonded (yet maybe? :) ), so that doen't tells us anything about the bond itself. That could simply be Nakhin's reaction to Sangneua's pheromones while being in love with Ongsa.
So I really don't know if POS dad was necessarily in physical pain every time he was with his mistress. But if this story does have some kind of exclusivity built into the bond, then this years long affair would be really weird?
wait isn't Nakhun and Nakhin both Pure Alphas? Why would the dad only want Nakhin to mate the pure omega? Is it…
The colors are actually the characters’ pheromones. They’re basically a visual way for us viewers to differentiate between different people’s pheromones (which also have different scents and strengths) and notice when someone is releasing them, whether during sexy times or emotional times :)) or when they’re trying to intimidate someone.
Also, the ABO hierarchy here is omegas, betas, pure omegas, alphas, pure alphas, and then enigmas (the son/daughter of a pure omega + pure alpha). And here pure omegas can be just as strong as or even stronger than alphas, as we saw when Phatsa subdued Naphitch.
So for the POS dad it’s not about who is purer, but rather who can create an enigma. And he’s pushing the pure omega onto Nakhin because Nakhun is already bonded to Phatsa. Nakhin is simply the unbonded pure alpha, making him the only remaining candidate.
Nakhun biting Phatsa in episode 1 established their bond, which is basically the epitome of connection in the ABO system. It’s permanent and can’t be broken, transferred, or suppressed. In some ABO worlds, a bond can end when one partner dies, so theoretically, if Phatsa were killed, Nakhun might eventually be able to bond with someone else after a lot of excruciating heartbreak. But we don’t know yet if that’s how it works in this particular universe.
Which actually, considering how little this asshole cares about his children, makes me wonder why the jerk hasn’t tried that already. Maybe in this world indeed the bond remains even after death, meaning killing Phatsa wouldn’t make Nakhun available anyway.
To be frank, I liked that the episode revisited Phatsa's feelings and concerns because it felt like a natural continuation of everything he has been going through. His struggles cannot be resolved after a few superficial conversations.
Every new thing he learns about bonds, fate, and the way this connection influences his emotions and body only makes everything feel more suffocating. With every answer, he seems to no longer have any choice in his own life despite the dreams and plans he had before.
He doesn't even know what he is supposed to feel anymore. Is his need to have Nakhun close, to seek out his scent, and know that he is safe something he genuinely feels or is it just the bond? Is he actually falling in love with Nakhun or is fate forcing him to care?
And the same question applies to Nakhun. How much of what he feels is truly his own, especially when everyone around them keeps reinforcing that their connection exists because they are destined for each other? Even Nakhun said that without the bond, they might have never met.
He must feel incredibly overwhelmed, disheartened, and alone.
I think the balcony scene captures all of this really well. Phatsa stands alone, looking out towards the city with his back turned to the room, to Nakhun, and to this new life he has been forced into, without turning back even once.
Then Nakhun wraps the blanket around him and hugs him from behind. It's a comforting gesture, but it also feels like a net keeping him from leaping into the world in front of him.
Nakhun sees that Phatsa is hurting and wants to comfort him, but he is still excruciatingly oblivious to what Phatsa actually needs. And then he asks when he did he ever force Phatsa to do anything...really? 눈_눈
What about the previous episode when Nakhun freaked out after tracking Phatsa to the cafe for some unknown reason? Was he genuinely under the impression that Phatsa had been home the entire time? Does he really need to know where Phatsa is at all times? How much of that is genuine concern, how much is the soulmate bond, and when does it start feeling controlling?
Phatsa isn't really asking for comfort. He is wondering whether his life is still his own. He is questioning whether this relationship is something he chose or something that was decided for them.
The things that destroy the delivery for this are the confusing, inconsistent pacing and Phatsa's lack of agency, which, to be quite frank, also feels tied to some misogynistic view of omegas. Every time he discovers something new about this world, he eventually just goes along with it instead of really challenging it.
I mentioned this before, but I really need to say it again: the bond can explain the intensity of his connection with Nakhun, but it shouldn't replace Phatsa's curiosity, independence, or the clever, driven person we are constantly being told he is.
Ughhhh... it's just so frustrating when there are some nice ideas about fate, choice, and autonomy, but the series rarely commits to them as much as it should...
I feel like the pregnancy storyline is happening a little too early because there are still so many things that have not been properly explored yet.
We still know next to nothing about Armintra, her motivations, or what exactly is happening with that site that she is fighting Nakhun over. There is also Nakhun's dad's fixation on finding a pure omega and what that could mean for both of the secondary couples. Naphitch and Sangnuea were only just introduced together, but we barely know anything about them as individual characters, and we haven't even seen them kiss.
And most importantly, Phatsa still has so much to figure out regarding his pure omega status. He's still trying to understand who he is, what this means for him, and how much of what he is starting to feel towards Nakhun is actually love and how much of it is influenced by the bond. He is still trapped in that house with little freedom to make his own choices.
I feel like the preg would fit much better in the last episodes.
I was also truly infuriated that everyone immediately started making decisions about Phatsa while completely leaving him in the dark.
For what reason?
Everyone was discussing what was happening to his body, deciding what was good for him, and peer-pressuring him into drinking whatever that green thing was, even though he clearly hated both the smell and the taste. They kept exchanging knowing looks with each other without actually explaining anything to him (and... where exactly did all of Phatsa's observation skills go?).
But they had no problem in telling Nakhun...?
And then Nakhun suddenly becomes much more openly affectionate and attentive, and starts kissing Phatsa's belly multiple times. The thing is, this level of casual affection and attention was almost nonexistent in the previous episodes outside of the misunderstandings and the NC scenes.
I really enjoy seeing this side of Nakhun, but it's strange that Phatsa was treated like a child. Something extremely important about his own life was happening around him, and he will be the last person to actually be included in it.
so I think phatsa is not pregnant because no way the director would give us happiness so easily I don't know how…
In this world, betas can't smell scents or pheromones, nor do they have any, so Nakhin showed Ongsa what his scent is through a plant that carries the same scent as his own (which looks like a tomato tbh :)) ).
Since scent is one of the most intimate and meaningful ways alphas and omegas express identity, comfort, attraction, and emotion, he created another way for Ongsa to experience an essential part of who he is and, what I believe is actually his main intention, to include him in a part of the alpha-omega dynamic that betas are normally excluded from.
And by letting Ongsa smell the plant before revealing its meaning, Nakhin vulnerably shared something deeply personal while seeking an honest reaction, hoping Ongsa would like something that represents him at his core while reassuring him that their biological differences don't diminish his feelings or intentions toward him.
It's a really beautiful and considerate gesture that brings them together, and the ABO dynamics are done really well. I'm very happy about this!
Because for me, it’s been mostly frustration and hope that some of the truly good premises would eventually be meaningfully developed, only for them to be mentioned superficially and then dropped. I also feel a little sorry for the actors, because I wonder how the weak plotlines, worldbuilding and production will affect their careers, especially with how good the promo was and how many eyes were on them. And honestly, my overall approach was amusement at how ridiculous most of it is. :)))
I’m still watching because I love and have nostalgia for omegaverse, I’ve grown increasingly fond of BoatOat and the other pairings I discovered through this series, and I still want to see where these vague, underdeveloped storylines go. There are so many ideas here that could have been actually interesting with much more care.
And the writing isn’t even the only problem. There’s also the camera work, decor, lighting, styling, action sequences, pacing, line cadence, etc. I’ve even wondered if the huge gaps between lines are intentional so they can show the pheromones being released. :)) I also think the severe lack of character development contributes to this, since if the characters aren’t sufficiently established, it's difficult to make anything feel consistent or intentional.
So I don’t think everything about the series is awful. There are things I really, really enjoy and look forward to, but very, very far from „everything else has been beautiful and perfect”. :)))
Why? Who even are you, my guy? Does he love these brothers? Is it because he watched them grow up? Does he dislike/despise the POS dad? What prompted this dislike/hatred? Wasn't he his right hand (only?) lackey? Does this mean nothing to Funky Bob?
And the POS dad just... accepted everything? Just like that? No... fight, challenge, outburst...? Promise of revenge?
And I really do feel for Sangnuea... Folk’s acting stepped up from last episode too. His eyes could kill and break hearts with so much emotion behind them, and the way he sat there with his knees to his chest was so pitiful, like a little feral cat being awry and grumpy. How can you not want to comfort and soothe him? He’s stuck in a family he believes destroyed his family, a family he despises and actually went through a lot of trouble to dispose of, in a confined space where he is unwelcome, maybe in heat, experiencing his bond to a man he harmed and manipulated before, and completely alone.
And I didn’t get the interaction I was actually most waiting for, Naphitch and Sangnuea. I’m so, so sad about it, and honestly concerned about next episode. After all that buildup, I wanted some kind of confrontation or emotional aftermath, anything to show where their relationship is going.
But we haven’t seen them together for even 30 seconds... The bodyguards got more screen time. Everyone else talks about their bond while Sangnuea sits there dealing with it as a prisoner, and Naphitch talks about how he’ll take responsibility, which is brave for someone who couldn’t even confess he had a crush so he forced his crush into being with him.
And wasn’t the immediate time after a bond supposed to be crucial? Weren’t they supposed to be as close as possible, otherwise the bond affects their mental state and well-being? And I mean literally being in each other's vicinity, no sexual acts. Wasn’t this established in episode 2? Is being in the same house now enough right after the bond?
This is one of the most complicated relationships in the story, which is why I’m more invested in them than anyone else. I really wanted to see what happens between them after that bond...(ᗒᗣᗕ)՞
The neglectful dad and Nakhun speak about Phatsa like he’s not even in the room, like he’s some object they both hold dear and negotiate over. And Phatsa just sits there like a scared little mouse. He’s 24. Why does this self-inserted buffer even have this much weight in their relationship, let alone in Phatsa’s life?
Then Phatsa explains that learning he was an omega left him lost, he didn’t know how to face this world, and that his life never felt like his own choice. Which is especially ironic seeing as his father decides where he lives, IF he can leave (again: I’m sorry, what -___-), Nakhun decides he’s going to marry him, and all of this in front of Phatsa. He still didn’t really choose anything. After 11 episodes, his whole journey ends with his dad allowing him to go home with his boyfriend.
I also wish Nakhun had apologized to Phatsa for forcing their bond, instead of the absentee dad.
I had a very strong feeling Nakhun was going to say they knotted. And he actually did... In front of Phatsa’s dad. With the bodyguard still in the room.

Do the writers sincerely think this is what ABO is...? ABO is still supposed to contain normal people living normal lives, much like LGBTQ+ if you will. People aren’t walking around announcing their sex lives and bonding status to their parents like a medical update. No normal person is going to tell their parent „By the way, we already slept together, and in a very particular way too, so obviously we’re getting married”.
Also, why does the bodyguard get so much to say in whether Nakhun does or doesn’t do something? Though „Don’t be so clingy” was quite funny, I liked it :)) Felt like one of the most natural lines so far... and that’s sad, man :))) I understand that they might be close in age and have a more friendly relationship, but Nakhun has always been headstrong and the decision-maker, so seeing him just accept being told to settle down feels a little strange, especially when Phatsa was the person he wanted beside him and Phatsa wanted to be there too.
Dad: „Phatsa is staying with me.”
Nakhun: „Phatsa is coming with me.”
Dad: „I don’t approve.”
Phatsa: *Exists somewhere in the vicinity. Quietly. Looking down. Like the good, obedient omega that he is.*
Nakhun: „We’re soulmates. We bonded, so I took care of his body, and the bond is complete.”
(Me: wut (๑﹏๑//) why would you...)
Phatsa: „Why did you tell my dad about that?”
(Me: exactly (╥﹏╥))
Nakhun: „I love him.”
Phatsa: „I love him too.”
Dad: „I won’t hand over my child so easily.”
(Me: listen, you MOFO, you abandoned and neglected him his whole life. What makes you think you get to have ANY say in his life or dictate anything now or even call him you child in the first place?)
Nakhun: „I’ll marry him.”
(Me: Umm... wut? When did you discuss this privately, just the two of you?)
Dad: „Fine, but dowry.”
Dad: *I'll take Phatsa back and then force him to stay in his room just because I've changed my mind, I’m an asshole like that.*
Nakhun, for the second time: „But the bond is already complete.”
(Me: for the love of God, please stop...)

What is there left for the last episode...? Hmmmm. Oh! I know, I know! Sangnuea and Naphitch? Amintra and Kingyok? Possibly mpreg too?

What even was this rollercoaster of nothingness?
Ji Ming Xuan clearly cares about Shen Mo, but I love how contradictory the way he expresses it is. The longing, possessiveness and constant need to keep Shen Mo close are so obvious, especially in the restaurant bathroom scene, where “claiming” Shen Mo almost feels like he’s reassuring himself that he’s the one Shen Mo belongs with. Yet at the same time, he keeps pushing him away and uses the contract as a shield, while treating Shen Mo like he has no say in his own life. And dropping him to the ground whenever he wants to punish him... yeah, he’s still a jerk 😭
And Shen Mo… those puppy eyes 😭 He seems so lonely and resigned, but at the same time, really strong. He’s lost so much, including the ability to do what he loved, and is now having to navigate a life and a relationship he doesn’t even fully remember, yet he keeps going. I really hope his happy ever after comes quickly and fully for him!
I’m especially curious to discover what their relationship was actually like before Shen Mo lost his memories, what he really felt for Ji Ming Xuan back then, and how much of that might still be there underneath what he remembers now. There’s clearly so much they’re both not saying, and I’m really looking forward to seeing it unfold!
But let's start with the most amazing thing, which is Phatsa and Nakhun easily being the highlight of the episode. I really liked the teasing between them, and I love how BoatOat acted here! :) There was so much tenderness in the way Nakhun kept trying to get closer to Phatsa even though there wasn't much room for either of them to move. Nakhun was so patient with him, and I loved the little game he created to get Phatsa to say what he was feeling. That whole exchange was adorable.
The way they looked at each other, the kissing, Nakhun’s confession between kisses... very, very cute. (˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶) And for once, the lighting, music, even the hairstyles were actually good! I loved Boat’s hair here, it suits him so well. :)) The whole thing felt natural and romantic, and this was easily the best emotional scene we’ve gotten between them so far. I’m very happy with it!
The only thing I would change is having the love making a little later. I would have loved to see them just enjoy that moment first, maybe cuddling and caressing each other and processing everything that happened so far. Not all emotional moments need to lead to sex.
That being said, I really liked the NC scene too. It was passionate and tender, and I actually think the knot worked really well here because it fits the emotional momentum and all that pent-up energy between them. Even if the translation was horrible and made some of it harder to understand.
There was this beautiful shot of them in the car under that red sky, holding each other close, caressing each other's neck, head, and back, Nakhun brushing Phatsa’s hair away from his eyes, the way they held each other’s gaze and watched each other’s movements, and Nakhun leaving little bites along Phatsa’s shoulder and chest... It really felt like they were breathing each other in.
And I absolutely loved the bite Nakhun left on Phatsa’s neck! This was their moment, and they belonged to each other. Very, very beautiful. I especially loved the way Nakhun held Phatsa afterwards and kissed his neck over the bite, nuzzling their faces together and just enjoying being in each other’s arms, even during the afterglow when Phatsa fainted. And I’m glad enough time passed for the knot to go down and for them to get dressed before they were rescued. :))
Oat's acting was really good! I really appreciate BoatOut's performance here. This is the kind of scene where their acting skills and chemistry actually get to come through, and it was really nice to see. Some of the production choices in previous episodes have taken away from what they can do, so this was a treat. ⸜(｡˃ ᵕ ˂ )⸝♡
I'm confused by the bullet wound, though. Was the bullet actually in his arm? Did it come out the other side? The translation is horrible, the wound was never actually shown, and there wasn't even much blood, just some blood splatter. Even Nakhun says there wasn't much blood. Also, his healing abilities are helping with the pain, so why was he clearly in pain when he was shot in the stomach, but not this time? Was it really just a scratch, like Nakhun said? If the bullet only grazed him and there wasn't much blood, then why did he need the tourniquet?
Phatsa only remembering hours later that Nakhun had been shot was also a little weird. It would make sense that one of the first things they did after killing Tim, which happened mere minutes after Nakhun was shot, would be to check the wound. But okay, maybe Phatsa was so affected by taking someone's life that once the immediate danger passed, he just wasn't thinking about anything else? But we saw no remorse from him... Idk, man...
And I absolutely hated whatever happened to Sangnuea in this episode.
I actually liked Sangnuea's mannerisms and presence in the previous episode. There was something interesting about the way he carried himself, but here everything was so exaggerated: the fake laughter, the shoulder shimmies (god I hated those, I cringed every time I saw them, and there were a lot...), the over-the-top crying and sighing, the staring down instead of actually looking at people... It gave me so much secondhand embarrassment. It felt like Folk was just telling us Sangnuea is an unstable, traumatised villain instead of actually making him feel like one. And I feel bad for him because I don't know how much of that was his interpretation versus the direction he got. The scene already had an enormous amount of exposition, so all those mannerisms just made it feel even more artificial. Was this really the direction they wanted to go with for this scene?
Especially because the actual story was already a mess. Continuing from the last episode with this long evil speech, Sangnuea believes Nakhin’s family destroyed his family, but even now we don’t really know why... ('''¬ ▵¬)~3
And so, Sangnuea was left with nothing, forced to survive by using people, and eventually turned all that resentment into revenge, disdain for himself as an omega, and envy for those who can live as themselves, which is actually really interesting.
But if the revenge plot depends on this deep history and is important enough to define Sangnuea’s entire motivation, it needed to be established much better.
The way he survives by manipulating people, including letting those men touch him just so he could steal from them... (·•᷄ࡇ•᷅ ) Just awful. I truly hate that for him. My poor baby! (╥﹏╥) But at least this gave us something tangible. He learned to survive by using whatever he had, including the fact that people underestimated and objectified him because he was an omega. That actually gives his hatred of being an omega and the ABO system some weight. But it doesn't properly connect to how Nakhin's family actually hurt Sangnuea's, or how Sangnuea even ended up in this position.
And also... is he really the mastermind...? Kind of difficult to believe that for me, but I guess there's no one else...
Sangnuea uses people, but what did he actually get from Phatsa, Ongsa, Nakhin, or Nakhun? The only information we actually saw him get was that the brothers would be going out, and he got that from Naphitch, independently of the others. So why approach Phatsa and Ongsa at all?
When they first met, they had no real connection to Nakhun or Nakhin beyond their bodyguards picking up orders from Ongsa’s cafe. He could have gone directly after the bodyguards and manipulated them into getting information about the family. Wouldn’t that make more sense? Lucky for him, I guess, that Nakhun forced the bite on Phatsa. But to what use, since he obtained nothing from them...?
And why specifically approach Ongsa and reveal his true nature to him? Was it because he expected the brothers to get hurt or die, and saw this as an opportunity to hurt Ongsa because he envied that Ongsa could „defy” the ABO status quo through his relationship with Nakhin? Was it just pure malicious satisfaction?
I wish all of this had been shown so much more clearly. It all sounds so interesting, but the delivery... leaves so much to be desired.
Then we get the pheromone scene, and the logic completely falls apart again. Sangnuea is an omega but can apparently overpower Nakhin, a true alpha, grabbing him, pushing him around and pinning him against a wall, all with his pheromones.
Why isn’t Nakhin fighting harder? Why is he just standing there while Ongsa gets pushed to the ground? At least try to resist and release his own pheromones. As a true alpha, surely he should be able to affect Sangnuea enough to stop him.
And yes, an alpha can obviously be affected by an omega's pheromones enough to lose their discernment for a few moments. But why did they have to show Naphitch's crotch? We understand that he's affected. We didn't need to see how he... grabs his junior? or pushes his pants away from it? What was the point of that shot? Just to show how overwhelming Sangnuea’s pheromones are?
Is Sangnuea supposed to be a true omega too? Maybe this would explain how strong he is.
Also, Naphitch is clearly affected, but he's still able to resist enough to stand his ground, grab Sangnuea, and speak to him. If he can do all that, then he can hold him there while Nakhin or Ongsa calls the bodyguards. They could call the police. They're supposed to have all these connections, they could call literally anyone to come and capture him and hold him down or something.
The point is, Sangnuea could have been restrained without Naphitch biting him. So what exactly was Naphitch's reasoning for the forced bond?
Because right now, we're supposed to believe that Naphitch forcibly bonded himself to Sangnuea to prevent him from forcing Nakhin into a bond. But emotionally and logically, it doesn't make sense!
This is assault. No doubt about it. Did you see how Sangnuea cried in pain from the bite? How he looked when he fell to his knees? Granted, Sangnuea was trying to do the same to Nakhin... they really are a perfect fit for each other... I really hate these kinds of storylines in ABO. I don’t care if the show later tries to frame it as protective or romantic. Naphitch was lucid enough to restrain Sangnuea and fight through his pheromones, but he chose to escalate the situation into a forced bond that ties them together for life.
What is wrong with these brothers? The oldest and youngest force a permanent bond, and the middle forces a kiss.
The promos show them as an endgame couple, but how exactly is Sangnuea supposed to have an arc for all the horrific shi* he did and still have a healthy relationship with Naphitch? And how is Naphitch supposed to have an arc that acknowledges that he unnecessarily forced their bond, took away Sangnuea’s autonomy, and permanently tied himself to him? There are only two episodes left.
There might actually be an interesting story buried underneath all of this, and I love enemies to lovers stories. But the show isn't giving us enough of the psychological steps between one decision and the next.
And what does „From now on… with your hatred” mean? Maybe it's supposed to be „From now on, I'll bear your hatred” or „Your hatred is mine now” or something along those lines?
The GPS tracker doesn’t make sense either. If the tracker was already on Phatsa’s car, shouldn’t it have been tracking the car from the moment Phatsa drove it back to Nakhun’s place? What about all the time the car was sitting on Nakhun’s property, right under their nose? What, were the garage walls 30 cm thick that the GPS didn’t work properly?
The hospital database explanation doesn’t really make sense either. Earlier, we were told that information about the pure omega couldn’t simply be accessed through hospital records, and now apparently it can for some unknown reason.
This episode has so many problems at once: the continuity, exposition, motivations, translation, and the logic. It just feels like the worst episode ever.
The Phatsa and Nakhun parts saved it for me. Their confession was adorable, the kiss was beautiful, the acting was good, and the NC scene really worked. But everything surrounding Sangnuea was so frustrating that I genuinely don’t know what the f the writers were trying to accomplish.
Naphitch's reaction to the jacket with Sangnuea's scent is extremely strong, and I love it! They only had 2 encounters before this, and even in omegaverse stories people can obviously have one night stands and move on. But this makes me wonder if a bond is already forming between them even without the bite mark. Like, imagine what the bite would do! 〒▽〒 This is so fun. I want to read fanfiction about these dudes.
I didn't even consider that Tim and Sangnuea could be related, so I was really surprised when Tim said they were brothers. Even if we learn later that's not the case, it was still a genuinely good reveal.
And then everyone is talking about getting into the car and escaping while just standing next to the cars. Get in the bloody cars! Eventually the convertible gets absolutely destroyed by bullets, including the door, while somehow not a single bullet hits either Phatsa or Nakhun. Of course the protagonists have plot armor! Nakhun, Naphitch, Nakhin, Phatsa, whoever they fight, it doesn't matter because they don't get an f-ing bruise. No scratch, no blood on their knuckles, not a smudge of dirt on their clothes or hands, not even a drop of sweat on their faces. Okay, we do finally see some sweat on the back of Phatsa's t-shirt toward the end, and they look a little dishevelled after getting shot, but still. :))))
Why didn't Ongsa say earlier that he suspected Sangnuea was involved in something? Not a huge deal, but they could have mentioned it last episode, maybe when they were at Ongsa's coffee shop with Amintra.
Sangnuea's scenes with Ongsa were very entertaining, especially because Folk's acting really stood out. His mannerisms were the same as when he was seducing Naphitch, except now he's provoking and hurting Ongsa. What an asshole! Even the way he looked at Ongsa felt intentional. Folk is definitely standing out in the cast and makes Sangnuea much more interesting to watch. I also found it interesting that Sangnuea clearly despises how secondary gender determine where people belong, yet he still uses that same hierarchy to belittle Ongsa on who he should love. It's a fun contradiction, even if the show isn't handling it with much subtlety. And why did he chose that particular moment to approach Ongsa?
Can someone please tell me where Naphitch was for like five minutes? Didn't he come together with Nakhin? Did he take a shower outside? Did he go home? Where is he? Is he relieving himself somewhere in the bushes? Is he finding a parking space? :))
Another thing that really surprised me was Sangnuea admitting that he actually sold Mai. This is unforgivable. Up until now, there was still room to see him manipulating circumstances to get revenge, or maybe being forced into the scheme. Actually selling someone is a completely different level of involvement. I still don't believe he is the mastermind behind everything, though. I feel like he's taking responsibility for something or protecting someone. Who is the boss Tim was talking about when he said „It's all because of you that my boss ended up like this today”? Tim called Sangnuea his brother, so clearly this is someone else, and I have a feeling it might be someone from Sangnuea's family. Let's see. How would he even redeem himself after all of this? Will they even end up together? Stuff like this are exciting! o(≧▽≦)o
The writers spent so much of the series making Phatsa passive, underestimated, and constantly being forcibly attended to, only to build up his big moment. And honestly, good for him! I was expecting him taking charge for a while now. I kept wondering whether Tim was an alpha or a beta because I thought Phatsa was going to subdue him with his pheromones. Killing him was completely unexpected!!
The two shots against the bodyguards are easier to justify. They were actively fighting them, their lives were on the line, and Phatsa was protecting himself and Nakhun. But looking Tim directly in the eyes and deliberately shooting him in the head while standing right above him is on a whole different level. He had no hesitation and apparently no remorse either. It reminded me a lot of KinnPorsche, because in comparison Phatsa suddenly has absolutely no reservation about killing, which is out of character. I don't necessarily dislike the direction, but something this drastic needs some emotional build-up or consequence. Right now, I genuinely don't know how I feel about it.
Nakhun and Phatsa's little romantic moments are really cute. I loved the kiss, the forehead touching, Phatsa checking whether Nakhun is okay, and Nakhun reassuring him that it's only a scratch. Their tenderness worked really well and their chemistry felt especially good here. :))))
Overall, I actually enjoyed this episode. It was still way too slow for me, and I was watching at 1.25x and sometimes 2x speed. And there was a lot of weird and downright stupid stuff going on, but there was a lot here that I found interesting too.
But even if Naphitch had taken a shower, he was still wearing the exact same clothes from the night before, and those clothes obviously still had Sangneua’s scent on them since they were rutting together mere hours ago. So he was basically transferring that scent onto himself again.
And especially considering that both Nakhun and Nakhin are true alphas (enhanced skills, so a better sense of smell too) and already know Sangneua’s scent, of course it makes no sense that neither of them noticed anything, you’re right.
And Tim is the guy who manages Nakhun’s club, and we saw him in episode 1 bringing Nakhun a drink, and again around episode 3 in prison, when Nakhun found out that he had been dealing drugs at the club behind his back.
At this point we only have:
1. Mai, Tim and Sangneaua possibly teaming up,
2. the club, warehouse, and land plots,
3. Amintra’s ambitions to compete with or destroy the family, plus her relationship with Kingyok,
4. the trafficking accusation,
5. the mysterious group working behind the scenes (which may also be behind the concealment of the pure omega’s identity at the hospital?), and
6. the increasingly frequent attacks on the family.
But still no actual structure to this mafia world. We don’t know what the power struggle is even about. And there are only 4 episodes left! (┬┬﹏┬┬)
For the love of God, who is actually fighting with whom, and over what? Why is that land so important? What do the people targeting them even want? What is their actual underworld business about?
...How am I supposed to understand enough of the story to look forward to the resolution, or even care, really?
The first scene was so excruciatingly slow, awkwardly written, and downright poorly edited.
At 6:53, Phatsa is talking without moving his lips, and then they cut right in the middle of him speaking without changing the framing, camera angle, or anything else that could disguise the cut. Like... guys. ( T﹏T ) We can see his entire upper body. How are we supposed not to notice?
And they’re discussing something so serious (human trafficking! and someone trying to destroy the family), yet everyone is sitting crammed together in a corner, in the exact same positions, delivering their lines with zero urgency and long, unnecessary pauses. I had to watch at 1.5x just for the scene to feel normally dynamic. (Though, it was actually quite amusing to see Boat trying to make himself smaller, and at this point the sofas are basically another character :) ).
And it really bothers me how little they seem to feel about any of it. We should see them alarmed because their safety is threatened, furious at the audacity of someone challenging their position. And when Sangneaua became a suspect, there should at least be some surprise because until now there wasn't really any reason to see him as particularly untrustworthy. There should be fear too, of course, maybe showing up as suspicion and a desperate need to find who’s responsible and take back control.
Instead, their reactions feel so... mild.
Which brings me to the security, because it's so absurd that it's almost funny! :)
The attacks have been escalating since the very beginning (including when Nakhun was shot), yet there’s been NO investigation at all. Now they know an organised group is targeting them systematically, possibly with people already inside their circle, but somehow the security is even worse?
All the brothers leave together in the same car while every bodyguard is conveniently unavailable? That’s exactly the kind of situation any competent person would avoid. These people are supposedly running a powerful and scary criminal family, but they act like they have no idea what they’re doing. How did they even get to this status in the first place when they act like this? And is there really no right-hand man besides Nakhin who can lead security and handle the investigation?
Also, four episodes left and Nakhun is still treating this grown man like a child he needs to keep inside with snacks because apparently the outside world is too hot? So tell me WHY doesn't he make any actual effort to prevent Phatsa from coming with the documents? He can apparently go not only with no bodyguards, but completely alone!
This is so ridiculous that I find most of these scenes funny, but it’s also irritating because the show misses almost every point it should hit here. These moments should feel high-stakes and urgent, but the flat delivery and constant repetition of the same stuff from earlier episodes kill any momentum. There’s not enough new information, escalation, or real emotion to make me anticipate what’s next, so I’m mostly just getting sleepy.
I just want to understand the actual conflict and feel some real stakes before the last episodes...
What we know so far here is that bonded mates can feel what the other is experiencing. We saw it when Phatsa got the knife cut, when Nakhun got shot, and in episode 4 when I (used to...?) believe Phatsa started his heat after realizing what Nakhun was doing in that bathroom. But we haven't seen anything establishing that the bond prevents intimacy with someone else or causes pain specifically when someone cheats.
The only thing that may suggest that is Nakhin saying that Sangneua's pheromones smell like chilli :)) But Nakhin and Ongsa aren't bonded (yet maybe? :) ), so that doen't tells us anything about the bond itself. That could simply be Nakhin's reaction to Sangneua's pheromones while being in love with Ongsa.
So I really don't know if POS dad was necessarily in physical pain every time he was with his mistress. But if this story does have some kind of exclusivity built into the bond, then this years long affair would be really weird?
Also, the ABO hierarchy here is omegas, betas, pure omegas, alphas, pure alphas, and then enigmas (the son/daughter of a pure omega + pure alpha). And here pure omegas can be just as strong as or even stronger than alphas, as we saw when Phatsa subdued Naphitch.
So for the POS dad it’s not about who is purer, but rather who can create an enigma. And he’s pushing the pure omega onto Nakhin because Nakhun is already bonded to Phatsa. Nakhin is simply the unbonded pure alpha, making him the only remaining candidate.
Nakhun biting Phatsa in episode 1 established their bond, which is basically the epitome of connection in the ABO system. It’s permanent and can’t be broken, transferred, or suppressed. In some ABO worlds, a bond can end when one partner dies, so theoretically, if Phatsa were killed, Nakhun might eventually be able to bond with someone else after a lot of excruciating heartbreak. But we don’t know yet if that’s how it works in this particular universe.
Which actually, considering how little this asshole cares about his children, makes me wonder why the jerk hasn’t tried that already. Maybe in this world indeed the bond remains even after death, meaning killing Phatsa wouldn’t make Nakhun available anyway.
Every new thing he learns about bonds, fate, and the way this connection influences his emotions and body only makes everything feel more suffocating. With every answer, he seems to no longer have any choice in his own life despite the dreams and plans he had before.
He doesn't even know what he is supposed to feel anymore. Is his need to have Nakhun close, to seek out his scent, and know that he is safe something he genuinely feels or is it just the bond? Is he actually falling in love with Nakhun or is fate forcing him to care?
And the same question applies to Nakhun. How much of what he feels is truly his own, especially when everyone around them keeps reinforcing that their connection exists because they are destined for each other? Even Nakhun said that without the bond, they might have never met.
He must feel incredibly overwhelmed, disheartened, and alone.
I think the balcony scene captures all of this really well. Phatsa stands alone, looking out towards the city with his back turned to the room, to Nakhun, and to this new life he has been forced into, without turning back even once.
Then Nakhun wraps the blanket around him and hugs him from behind. It's a comforting gesture, but it also feels like a net keeping him from leaping into the world in front of him.
Nakhun sees that Phatsa is hurting and wants to comfort him, but he is still excruciatingly oblivious to what Phatsa actually needs. And then he asks when he did he ever force Phatsa to do anything...really? 눈_눈
What about the previous episode when Nakhun freaked out after tracking Phatsa to the cafe for some unknown reason? Was he genuinely under the impression that Phatsa had been home the entire time? Does he really need to know where Phatsa is at all times? How much of that is genuine concern, how much is the soulmate bond, and when does it start feeling controlling?
Phatsa isn't really asking for comfort. He is wondering whether his life is still his own. He is questioning whether this relationship is something he chose or something that was decided for them.
The things that destroy the delivery for this are the confusing, inconsistent pacing and Phatsa's lack of agency, which, to be quite frank, also feels tied to some misogynistic view of omegas. Every time he discovers something new about this world, he eventually just goes along with it instead of really challenging it.
I mentioned this before, but I really need to say it again: the bond can explain the intensity of his connection with Nakhun, but it shouldn't replace Phatsa's curiosity, independence, or the clever, driven person we are constantly being told he is.
Ughhhh... it's just so frustrating when there are some nice ideas about fate, choice, and autonomy, but the series rarely commits to them as much as it should...
We still know next to nothing about Armintra, her motivations, or what exactly is happening with that site that she is fighting Nakhun over. There is also Nakhun's dad's fixation on finding a pure omega and what that could mean for both of the secondary couples. Naphitch and Sangnuea were only just introduced together, but we barely know anything about them as individual characters, and we haven't even seen them kiss.
And most importantly, Phatsa still has so much to figure out regarding his pure omega status. He's still trying to understand who he is, what this means for him, and how much of what he is starting to feel towards Nakhun is actually love and how much of it is influenced by the bond. He is still trapped in that house with little freedom to make his own choices.
I feel like the preg would fit much better in the last episodes.
I was also truly infuriated that everyone immediately started making decisions about Phatsa while completely leaving him in the dark.
For what reason?
Everyone was discussing what was happening to his body, deciding what was good for him, and peer-pressuring him into drinking whatever that green thing was, even though he clearly hated both the smell and the taste. They kept exchanging knowing looks with each other without actually explaining anything to him (and... where exactly did all of Phatsa's observation skills go?).
But they had no problem in telling Nakhun...?
And then Nakhun suddenly becomes much more openly affectionate and attentive, and starts kissing Phatsa's belly multiple times. The thing is, this level of casual affection and attention was almost nonexistent in the previous episodes outside of the misunderstandings and the NC scenes.
I really enjoy seeing this side of Nakhun, but it's strange that Phatsa was treated like a child. Something extremely important about his own life was happening around him, and he will be the last person to actually be included in it.
Since scent is one of the most intimate and meaningful ways alphas and omegas express identity, comfort, attraction, and emotion, he created another way for Ongsa to experience an essential part of who he is and, what I believe is actually his main intention, to include him in a part of the alpha-omega dynamic that betas are normally excluded from.
And by letting Ongsa smell the plant before revealing its meaning, Nakhin vulnerably shared something deeply personal while seeking an honest reaction, hoping Ongsa would like something that represents him at his core while reassuring him that their biological differences don't diminish his feelings or intentions toward him.
It's a really beautiful and considerate gesture that brings them together, and the ABO dynamics are done really well. I'm very happy about this!
