OMG. The hate for GMMTV shiws is so forced watch the shows you like from the company you like. How hard is that?

No one is forcing you to watch GMMTV shows. There's plenty shows out there

There’s an African proverb that says, “Wisdom is chasing them, but they are faster.” And honestly… 😭
Nobody is trying to “silence” you.
If you had written a genuine review of the show whether you loved it or hated it and kept it focused on the actual series, I would have had no issue with it. I’ve had genuine back-and-forth conversations with plenty of people who didn’t like the show.
But you didn’t do that. You generalized about all GMMTV shows, used someone else’s series as an opportunity to promote a show from a company you prefer, and then acted surprised when people called you out for it.
That’s the difference.
Criticism of a show? Completely fair.
Disliking You Maniac? Also fair.
Coming under another series to drag the entire production company while simultaneously promoting your preferred show? That’s not a genuine review. That’s hater behavior.
And now you want to act like people are attacking you for simply having an opinion? Please. 😭

What is it exactly about the story and the script that’s not keeping you interested?
You know what? I can understand that. Personally, I’ve never found toxic red flags appealing just for the sake of being toxic. We’ve had so many BLs built around that kind of red-flag trope, but what I’m really enjoying about You Maniac’s version is the layers.

The characters aren’t just walking red flags for shock value. There’s actual character development, and every episode feels intentionally designed to peel back another layer and help us understand why these people are the way they are.

That’s what has me so excited about this version. I love a good storyline, and You Maniac is giving us one. It’s not just about watching a character do something toxic and screaming “RED FLAG!” 😂 It’s about understanding the person underneath the behavior and watching them evolve.

But I can also understand why someone who came into the series expecting a more traditional, trope-heavy version of “red flags” might not connect with this interpretation. It’s definitely a different approach and honestly, that’s part of what makes it so interesting to me.

Oh, now you wanna play victim? 😭 You conveniently forgot about all the posts you made, the comments you left under other people’s reviews, and the constant promotion of how much better your show and the company behind it supposedly is?

Please. The receipts are writing themselves. 💀 Go ahead and take a bow. You’ve certainly earned the performance. 👏🏽

Oh, I’m not upset. 😭 That was simply my way of pointing out how pathetic this behavior looks. You’re so determined to promote the show you like that you felt the need to come under someone else’s show just to rage-bait and drag it.

And honestly, It doesn't surprise me at all cause fans of that company are always doing shady things

I genuinely don’t know if you’re being deliberately obtuse or just refusing to understand the point. 🙄 Nobody cares if you like or dislike a show. You’re entitled to your opinion.

But when you repeatedly come under a series you claim you don’t like, from a company you openly dislike, complain that it doesn’t deserve its rating, while simultaneously promoting shows from companies you actually like, you’re making your agenda pretty damn obvious. 😭

You’re not “just giving an opinion.” You’re deliberately coming into a space to undermine something you already decided you dislike. That’s pathetic. 💀

Attention seeker. Rage-baiter. 😭 If you dislike GMMTV that much, why not go enjoy the shows and companies you actually like instead of camping under ours? At this point, the obsession is giving fan behavior. 💀

Oh PLEASE. 😭 “Don’t take it seriously, I just don’t like GMMTV” — after repeatedly showing up under GMMTV shows to leave bad reviews while promoting shows from the companies you do like?

Well, thank you for the transparency. 😂 You basically handed us the motive, the pattern, and the evidence and then asked us not to notice. 💀

I actually think this comes down to personal taste more than objective quality. You can absolutely feel that WilliamEst or other GMMTV actors deserve more complex material, but many viewers already see depth and nuance in the characters they’re playing now.
And saying “GMMTV fans are happy with mediocre shows” kind of dismisses the opinions of people who genuinely enjoy these stories for their writing, characters, chemistry, or emotional themes.
You can prefer DMD, Chinese dramas, or other production styles without turning it into a “one company is winning, one is losing” argument. Different audiences enjoy different things and that’s okay.

If you’re calling the acting in #YouManiacSeries “average,” then honestly, you already sound bitter. 😭…
That’s a LOT of paragraphs for someone who claims the show isn’t that serious. 😭 You’ve moved from discussing the series to investigating people’s profiles and making accusations about fake accounts without evidence. If your argument requires detective work to dismiss other people’s opinions, maybe just accept that people genuinely rate the show differently than you do. 💀

And why is that “crazy” exactly? 😭 A show having a lot of reviews after three episodes simply means people…
And that’s the part I don’t understand. 😭 Other series are currently airing and people are rating and reviewing them episode by episode too. That’s not some unique phenomenon happening with #YouManiacSeries.

People rate based on what they’ve watched at that point in time. Some wait until the finale, some update their rating as the story progresses, and some give an early rating because they’re already enjoying what they’ve seen.

You personally prefer to wait until the story is further along before deciding, and that’s completely fair. But other viewers aren’t doing anything unusual by rating it now.

And if you’re still enjoying the show while acknowledging that it’s only three episodes in, then we actually agree on the important part: there’s still more story to see. 😂

You can absolutely dislike GMMTV’s approach to romance and intimacy, but you’re presenting your personal preference as if it’s an objective measurement. 😭
Saying the characters “lack depth” or that the actors “can’t fake tension” is an interpretation, not an established fact. Other viewers clearly read the performances, body language, pacing, and chemistry differently.
And the idea that GMMTV is intentionally limiting intimacy “to keep fans engaged” is speculation unless you actually have evidence from the creators or company. You can believe that’s what’s happening, but that doesn’t make it a fact.
Also, comparing every GMMTV pairing against every Thai or Chinese non-GMMTV pairing and declaring that GMMTV “will lose every comparison” is basically just fandom preference dressed up as analysis. 😂
If you prefer a different style of intimacy, great. Some people prefer subtle chemistry and emotional tension; others want more explicit physical intimacy. Neither preference magically becomes an objective standard for acting quality

And that’s where your argument falls apart. 😭 If you’re going to criticize GMMTV’s intimate scenes, at least understand the format they’re producing for.
GMMTV series air on GMM25, a network television channel, so expecting the same level of explicit NC content you might see from productions made specifically for streaming platforms is already comparing two completely different contexts.
You can absolutely prefer more explicit intimacy—that’s your personal preference. But acting like shorter or more restrained scenes automatically mean the actors lack chemistry or sexual tension completely misses the difference between performance, storytelling, and broadcast limitations.

Honestly, I can respect a detailed critique like this even if I disagree with almost every conclusion. 😭 At least you’re explaining why you don’t connect with the series instead of just saying “it’s bad.”

Where I disagree is the idea that the characters are “hollow” or lack motivation. A lot of what #YouManiacSeries is doing is intentionally leaving room for interpretation rather than spelling out every emotion and motivation for the audience. The characters’ behavior, conversations, body language, and contradictions are part of the storytelling. You may find that artificial or predictable; I find it gives me something to actually analyze.

And the secondary characters being less developed doesn’t necessarily mean they’re inconsistent. Not every character in a series needs an elaborate backstory before they can serve a purpose within the story.

As for the cliffhangers… welcome to serialized television. 😂 Of course the episodes are structured to make you want to come back next week. Whether the execution works for you is subjective, but that doesn’t automatically make the narrative empty.

And I have to push back on the “everything relies on the chemistry” point. The chemistry is obviously a HUGE part of the appeal, but WilliamEst aren’t creating that chemistry in a vacuum. Their performances are communicating character motivations, tension, insecurity, attraction, misunderstandings, and emotional shifts that aren’t always explicitly stated in dialogue.

You absolutely don’t have to like the writing. You don’t have to finish the series. And if the story isn’t giving you anything, that’s completely fair.

But saying the characters are objectively hollow when other viewers are clearly finding layers and subtext in them is where I think this becomes less about the show “having no depth” and more about the show not giving you the kind of storytelling you personally enjoy.

And honestly? That’s okay. 😭 Not every show is going to work for every viewer.

It's not a bad series, but an 8.7 is really overrated. Be realistic! An 8.0 would be generous.
“Be realistic” is doing a LOT of heavy lifting there. 😭

You can personally think it’s an 8.0, a 6.0, or a 3.0—that’s your opinion. But an 8.7 is based on the ratings people are actually giving the series, not on the number you personally think it should have.

You don’t have to agree with the audience. But calling everyone else “unrealistic” because they’re enjoying and rating the show differently is a little wild. 😂

Maybe the realistic thing to accept is that your rating isn’t everyone’s rating. 💀

Please elaborate on your “there is no plot” theory. 👀 Because I’m genuinely curious what you consider a plot if character development, interpersonal conflict, evolving relationships, dialogue, and actual consequences for the characters’ choices apparently don’t qualify. 😭

Lol why are there 72?? reviews with only 3 episodes out? That's crazy and not in a good way.
And why is that “crazy” exactly? 😭 A show having a lot of reviews after three episodes simply means people are watching it and choosing to rate/review it.

You don’t have to like the number, but acting like viewers aren’t allowed to have an opinion until the finale is… interesting. 😂

Also, you were just arguing that ratings are subjective, and now you’re upset because too many people are actually participating in the rating system? Pick a struggle. 💀

If you personally want to wait until the entire series airs before rating it, that’s completely fine. Other viewers can rate it based on what they’ve watched so far.

That’s kind of how user ratings work. 😭

Compare ITSAY which has about an 8.1 rating v this show that has 8.7.Then you can see how biased and subjective…
But… you just proved the point you’re trying to make. 😭

MDL ratings are literally user ratings. Of course they’re subjective and influenced by individual viewers’ preferences. That doesn’t make the 8.7 “wrong,” and it certainly doesn’t make the platform a joke just because another highly regarded BL has a different score.

Comparing #YouManiacSeries to ITSAY doesn’t magically produce an objective measurement of what a show “should” be rated. Different audiences are watching, different people are voting, and people value different things in storytelling.

You can personally think ITSAY deserves a higher rating or that #YouManiacSeries deserves a lower one. That’s completely fair.

But saying an 8.7 is invalid because another show has an 8.1 is basically arguing with the existence of subjective opinions while simultaneously giving us… your subjective opinion. 😭

And if your conclusion is simply “ratings are subjective,” congratulations. We agree. 😂

You probably need attention because you’re being neglected, which would explain why you keep showing up in comment sections just to provoke people. 😭

But please, don’t overthink my comments. Don’t let them bother you too much. You keep saying it’s “not that serious” while repeatedly coming back to engage. 💀

It’s really okay. Go outside. Touch some grass. Breathe some fresh air. Make a few friends. Maybe even enjoy the show you claim to love instead of spending all this time obsessing over the one you supposedly don’t. 😂

Oh wowww. 😭 What an absolutely AMAZING deduction. Truly groundbreaking reasoning. I’m sure judging an entire series before it’s even finished is a fantastic predictor of exactly how the story will turn out. 😂
