K-Drama
Complicated but Unique Storyline
I must be in the minority because I thought this K-drama was excellent. It's very different from your typical romance drama. Its use of AR was unique and personally, I thought they did it very well. Of course a lot of it isn't going to be logical. But considering the complexities, they did a good job. This whole drama was very complex and complicated. But I was able to follow along mostly. What didn't quite make sense was when Yoo Jin-Woo finally reached Master level, why was he still being attacked? Shouldn't the game have been over? And why did only certain people who were playing the game get killed like Seo Jun-Hoo and the Secretary while others who were playing at the park didn't get killed by the Joseon soldiers? How exactly did Marco create the bug? Because he tried to kill Se-Joo with a real knife in the bar? I kind of wish they explained that a little better since it's very important part of the story.I really liked the symmetry of Jin-Woo and Jun-Hoo vs Se-Joo (Master) and Marco. They were like the older/younger versions in battle. I was very sad by the Secretary's death. I really liked his character. I'm very glad at the end, all the engineers who worked on the game acknowledged Se-Joo for creating the game. Everyone got to realize how important he really was. Although I realize Jin-Woo never got a chance to actually meet Se-Joo after all that. Overall, I thought Alhambra was very unique, complex and good storytelling.

Do Ra Mi
I'm glad this was not your typical romcom K-drama. Definitely delved more into psychological traumas. I liked the ML. Liked him in Hometown Cha Cha. I didn't like the FL in Alchemy but for some reason, she was perfect for this role. Quirky, what you see is what you get type of girl. The trauma aspect was different from other k-dramas and they didn't do a half bad job. Some characters were annoying like the SFL, the producer. I didn't like her with the manager but that's who he liked. As far as Hiro, he did a fine enough job. They could've dived more into his character but he did a good job considering. And of course, I wish they dived deeper into the crazy mom and how could she not have ended up in jail for trying to kill her family? And the supposed parents of Mu Hee were awful people. I was hoping the scandal would ruin them. Overall, different than your typical k-drama romance which I liked. Sad about the psychological trauma of Dorami. Was this review helpful to you?
