if you are talking about ep 10 , it's not related to her mother... actually she donated all the wealth gifted by emperor for - 1) she wanted to present herself and LU clan family humble and kind infront of emperors and want to gain his favor... 2) Gifting the wealth to poor people made her insecurity of depending on others less( she is surviving in ep 10 on a thin edge ) as she is now regarded as goddess by poor people and her status in society is very high... that's why king gave her noble lady wuaan status 3) also because she wanted to do it willingly not of any hidden reasons coz she feels connection with life of poor people and feel their pain as she has lived the same life..so she don't want others to have it and suffer... 4) she doesn't want to take the wealth earned by corruption instead return it to people who were tortured in making of that wealth( han liao wealth) 5) wanted to humiliate Han liao by donating his wealth to poor people coz she does it infront of him( as he is greedy as hell)
can think of this many only ....well it can be many more others...coz this action of her was too deep in itself and personally for me it was the best scene of the drama..

that's what i am disappointed..i expected they would be hiding...but from all the scenes i have seen princes is very vulnerable infront of him despite the guy is poor scholar with zero achievement in his career...and today ep 11 also kiss scene and drinking with each other doesn't look like they are hiding anything..
hoping meng zi yi never plays this type of shamless princess role- total downgrade of character, a huge let down to her strong aura princess like character which people has been admiring in her historical dramas... don't know this drama is heavily focused on romance only or what...how many intimate flirt scenes she has done and drama just started...very cringe ... too much intimate with educated scholar makes me think that in historical dramas atleast scholars were not shamless...here i think male scholar is also shamless where is his scholar education 😂 disappointed with character development
