I made an edit for Chengyu and Xiaoshuai, really loving them as a secondary couple in RL :3https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ltV46TvWQLQ&feature=youtu.be
He's gone viral in China and Cfans are 99% supportive but some who feel threatened by his rise are attacking him…
I get you.
From the perspective of global brands Chinese celebrities are the prize however they get there and those who can hold the attention of women who watch dramas that contain the hidden BL X-factor (eg “bromance” and feminist-themed dramas) are the ones consumer goods industries are after - from Huawei to Cartier.
The power lies with the people in many unexpected ways.

Haaa ok. Not even Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan thought they’d become the next Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan so it’s good to be humble.
That connection is so powerful that actors and crew in straight Dramas from Beijing to Seoul are using that same BL formula to achieve greatness. I wish everyone well.
The biggest breakthroughs happen in the most challenging times not the placid ones.

A person with sense! These boys are about to become the next Wang Yibo and Xiao Zhan and so everything they do is tightly controlled. No one in their team is “surprised” at fan reactions whether in airports or anywhere else. They will be fine.
Everything made in China goes through quality controls and no external/international platform is going to broadcast anything that would violate government prescriptions (just like in Thailand and everywhere else). Especially when it comes to the biggest market in the world, it’s just not worth it, for anyone involved.
The actors also want to go on to be major movie stars in their own industry, again - the biggest market in the world where popular actors can amass DOZENS of global sponsorships and endorsements like Untamed BL actors Yibo and Xiao Zhan before them (no western actors have even a dozen top tier concurrent international sponsorships - forget more than 40 at a time!) so no; their target audience is Chinese and alienating their most important market is not what they’re going to do.
I hope they succeed as this whole team, including the Director, has worked hard to produce quality art, satisfy their audience and honour their country no matter the challengesso they deserve it.
All hail the reigning Queen of Asian BL and the only BL Director to twice bring the world to a standstill while clearing every airing BL out there - Her Majesty Chai JiDan 🙇♀️
Less than Hollywood movies about liberation wars the empire is trying to stop or anything to do with the global…
The western imperial nations along with Japan that have been waging war on the global south for hundreds of years, including multiple genocidal aggressions against China, are the enemies collectively.
Still today. Not that much has changed, except that China can’t be bullied by them - jointly or singly, any more.
this is not the first nor last Chinese BL that have been coming out latelyDo these titles ring any bell- Stay…
Xie xie ni! Doing the lords work; I don’t know how many times this needs to be said.
Now sit back and watch Revenged Love tip off everyone else to the handful of gems that have been coming out in the last couple of years and see China clear everything else that has been airing while BL fans are complaining of a BL drought 😆
It's time to put Netflix in its place. They are not capping their profits, but are capping the salaries of their…
Bingo! It’s all about wage suppression in terms cast and crew.
The messaging is another issue all together.
I hope the actors know their worth and plan an independent strategy as they did before Netflix came and we actually had a backload of quality dramas to watch
Truly the beginning of the end for quality Thai BLGood scripts are now rare as hens’ teeth
And they’re still not as popular as the ones that focus on men’s emotional development, challenge masculinity and prevailing sexual ethics, or don’t have naked men bonking in the first episode to drive views.
Call me when even one of them matches The Untamed views in the tens of billions and queer inspirational value 👍🏼
Don’t think you hate him as much as I hate him, I cried so much! I was so angry with him!
Rebel Princess is top tier CDrama also: intelligent, feisty male female lead, a romantic warrior Lord and well executed tension along with exquisite romance.
I loved My Journey to You even though some prefer a not so open-ending. I’m still enjoying (1/2 way though) The Best Thing which is romantic in a healing way. Both have the same ML Zhang Ling He, and you’ll love the way he loves in both.
Captivating the King is probably the last KDrama romance I enjoyed.
If I think of anything else I’ll ping you. Everyone seems to have this identical problem after PoB episode 36 ha ha 😝

In the end I felt a bit sad for him as a pitiable character. Perhaps the lesson is not to marry a man beneath your own intelligence as he will drag you both down.
Look at the way Wei Shao made the decision as to whether to return home or to liberate Panyi first. He and Xiao Qiao would both agree on the decision that he ultimately made because they are evenly matched in intelligence.
How did you like it though? Did you finish the final episode?
I’d like to suggest the granddaddy of Chinese Dangai - Nirvana in Fire and if you haven’t yet watched … well, put this one on your priority list ❤️

Hope you enjoyed 😊
It’s only a BL from China that can end the BL quality drought. Explicit or not 🤣

I feel so bereft now. Last night I rewatched some of Nirvana in Fire to get over my withdrawal 😀.
Just heard about Blazing Elegance and that it’s got a good dose of BL flavourings so I’m off to immerse myself in that.
What are you watching next?

Masterpiece theatre; I was riveted, can’t wait for your encores 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
