I gotta give it to Jiang Li, I'm extremely impressed with how she ruthlessly took the bitch princess down a few pegs, someone even the emperor had been in a standoff with for years, she played her cards right and got her out of her comfort zone, now patiently waiting for her to strike the killing blow and take that trash SYR in one fell swoop
And heck no I don't feel even a twinge of sadness for Wanning no matter how many moving OSTs are played for her, she deserves even worse (especially for those who have been questioning Jiang Li's morals)
This show has been a wild ride for me and I've enjoyed every bit of it
The fast pacing, the well written characters and even the discussions here. I've had other fave dramas but this was one of the few that made me crave episodes like a maniac.
I rated this an 8, then 9, but by episode 5 I changed it to 10 and it's been there ever since because I've never had a reason to be disappointed and I know I won't with the rest of the episodes getting released today

The constant waiting for episodes was not good for my mental health so I stopped after E28 so I can have more episodes to binge, I'm experiencing intense Duke Su withdrawal already 😩
Truly masterful acting from WJY & Ai Mi, I've never had it in me to cry so hard in any scene knowing it's all drama, but my tears won't just stop flowing, what a heavy episode
I'd say I'm impressed with the way Ruoyao's character was so expertly layered here, in just one scene, she was a regular spoiled brat one minute, then all of a sudden I found myself understanding where all her actions were coming from
Doesn't mean I forgive her for being a nasty shit from day 1 but I get her now and that's not an easy feat to achieve for such a hated character. Kudos to the writers on this one
