yes and yes. That is exactly what would have been perfect if they had gone a little more into the direction of this. The way they did it was not the most ideal one. Like I said previously there was great, absolute amazing potential to go right into this aspect but portray it in a way that benefited the general story more. The way they did it was throw you a bone but you had no idea what to do with that.

In terms of people changing: you dont truly have to do a lot. Small, minor aspects are enough to do so. You pointed out the reporter, granted thats a good example. I agree with you. But still I honestly wish we would have gotten more about these aspects.

and yes that is exactly why I gave it an 8. It showed very well how all aspects need to be highlighted in cases. Victims and culprits and that often culprits are also victims. There were a lot of good parts but nonetheless I missed the scientific aspect. That was more in depth with the book, since you did point that out. But this is also an aspect found in Mindhunters and this is the specific one I missed a lot here. This drama was not bad it just had a few weaknesses. Something was missing. Character-wise and build-up wise.

Sure. It is felt for me like I said, there is no reason for them being there. If you leave all three characters out of the story, do you think the outcome would be different? If you'd reduce their screening time and use a more subtile way to add their reasons for existing and instead use that time to focus more on the scientific aspect I think the drama would have benefited more. Either show less or show more.
Maybe it got lost for me from the week to week viewing of the episodes but I did not notice much change internally nor externally (apart from episode 11 and 12 for the main lead) .
Of course this is a purely subjective impression but nonetheless for me something was missing here.

A good drama but definitely not the best.
It is not a bad drama and it will leave an impression for it being the first to show the establishment of profiling but it has many weaknesses. Especially when compared to other dramas like the US series "mindhunters" or Signal.

The drama revolves a lot around the scientific establishment of profiling in criminal investigations. However apart from the characters voicing how many they interviewed and them appearing in lectures we are not truly going into the scientific aspect of their research at all. I found that very refreshing that from episode 10 onwards where we could at least see a bit more of this. Nonetheless, it still has some scenes I dont know their purpose off. Like eg. the female reporter, the ml's mother and the story of the ml's partners family. Neither truly has added much to the plot. Its like they give you a fancy cake but the inside is empty. Lots of lost potential.

Then you also have the problem of aging. Honestly the show follows the same characters for around 10 years (+/-) and still they look the absolute same as day one with the same problems as day 1. You have stylists, you can make facial masks, anything that shows that people actually change a little over the course of these years, or that things went on in their lives that made their characters develop and change. But nothing was used apart from the incident in episode 10/11.

I would give it normally a 7 but I do think there are some really nice moments too. Like gaining the tragedy of these cases and showing that every killer used to be a victim. That was really well done. Also the acting was nicely done.
Thus its a 8/10

100% agree with you. Its not bad but something is missing that Mindhunters had but it also has something that Mindhunters lacked

It was not bad but it made not much sense either. Especially the reason for the female lead's imprisonment and then basically leaving the 2nd main girl all alone makes not much sense. thus 6,5/10

very well done drama. Its never boring, you are constantly given surprises and the conclusion is just heartbreaking 9/10

was an ok movie. The story is entertaining even when it is quite predictable. Sadly the effects for the ghosts were not truly done in a way to make it either scary or interesting. 7/10

absolute heartbreaking. This is truly a wonderful movie that covers a lot of different topics. Most of all, though, it shows how unfair life can be. The mother is diagnosed with cancer and a family forms that is so unusual but so wonderful to watch. It truly makes you aware to not waste time . 10/10

so i am conflicted about this one. while it has its charm and some fun parts, I kinda dislike the message and the ending. 7/10

honestly this has a quite interesting concept. a religious facility that helps people who are lost in society and uses them. Truly it might sound generic but the way they are politicized makes you wonder about real life and social media and all the problems it brings. Well done 8/10

i liked it but i didnt like the reason for doing all of this. It felt a bit too strange. If they have developed that more it would have made more sense as to way they choose the path they did. Still the ending was a nice one. 7,5/10

this was a very shocking and very sad movie. Still i am a bit confused about some aspects that were not fully answered. The ending however was absolutely mind-blowing. Still i think this could have gone a tad bit deeper 8/10

I honestly dont know what to feel about this movie. It is disturbing, sad, hopeful, painful, strange and just different.
I enjoyed it, at first it felt like a stretch but the longer it went on the more complex it got but at the same time it makes you question why they do what they do. Even the final makes me question everything.
That is what a good movie should do, make you wonder and stay unforgettable .

So it starts out like other amnesia stories do and you really think you figured out who is the bad guy and who is the good one. Then suddenly it gets confusing and one doesn't know anymore who is telling the truth and who isn't. Then you think ahhh i knew it, till suddenly it goes into a complete different direction. The plot twist was so well done
Honestly I really loved it. 10/10

very emotional ride. We follow a set of people that came together due to unusual circumstances but became a family. It is absolutely heart breaking and at the same time fills you with happiness for all the sweet moments. Truly a well done movie 9,5/10

this is kinda dark humor? I dont know what to call it. It is so freaky and strange that one can only call it dark humor. A crazy girl and a strange guy somehow fit and make it work. But jokes aside this reminds me a lot of Inspector Koo and thus i enjoyed it. 8/10
