I have read half way through Golden Stage, it has been on hold for sometime for me. Golden Stage has very good reviews and the CP has a beautiful healthy relationship, regarding the angst level idk......it doesnt have the name as an 'angsty' novel but the CP is precious.

Hmm while HC's love was like 800 years of passion, yearning and loyalty, i feel like for XL it was a lil more on the chiller side with like a friends-to-lovers trope. Something the tgcf fandom has always talked about is what if the entire story was in Hua Cheng's pov. We all might have probably died then if that was the case. Hua Cheng's sufferings were very heart wrenching. He died 3 times for XL.

I was crying and laughing at the same time. I cried because of the convo, no doubts about that. But i laughed at the same time because of Mu Qing and Feng Xin. They were so against XL and HC's relationship, however the moment they saw XL suffering after HC dissipated, they were literally ready to whoop HC's ass for leaving behind XL lol. It was heart warming, shows how good friends those three. XL, Mu Qing and Feng Xin are.
