As for the Lies Hunter cast, I followed the everyday reuters. All I can say is that it’s indeed star studded with many award winner HK actors. But no one’s actually been “officially” confirmed yet, only Cheng Yi. Rumor is a baseless thing in c-ent. So it’s good if anyone particular can join but don’t be disappointed if they don’t.

I just went to Hong Kong myself a few months ago. He had’t confirmed anything about this drama back then. Now I be like: dude, why can’t you filmed this earlier so I can visit the site 😭 But hey, we can go there after the drama aired too, to retrace the scenes 😂🔥

Youku is very satisfied with the performance of The Vendetta of An. Considering it’s an original script (has no IP). That’s why they asked Cheng Yi to lead another original series. This Lies Hunter is a very big deal for sure because they need to collaborate with Hong Kong production. Episode 1-18 were a blast, very worth watching. Episode 12 just peak cinema.
Screen time:
After that, like from ep 20-31, Fugui was just a side character. His screen time was minimal but still acceptable because it's just a filler arc. However, for episode 22, 23, 30, 31, and 33, he's pretty much nonexistence, only like 2-10 minutes per episodes which is ridiculous (any normal drama wouldn't do that to their main character).
Characters:
Fugui's core character is solid rock (up until now), which is very good, fans of CY can relax. The problem is the FL character. After ep 18, FL character is so inconsistent and very ooc, I feel I can't recognize her anymore. She's just irredeemable bc original Qingtong wouldn't do any of what she did.
Story & script:
Because of some characters went extremely ooc (Qingtong and her brother), after ep 18, the story went downhill. If you're just a passerby watcher, you can ignore that. I think it's okay to enjoy it as just a show. But for an adaptation, those characters and storyline are a huge disrespect for the original donghua.
Up until ep 32, that's my take. If you just want to enjoy watching CY, you're in for a treat. He's a real eye candy, so magnificent. I can say this is his best looks among his characters.
But if you want to take the story into consideration, just use that info that I just gave you

Quite possibly. But if she died, they won’t have a 2nd chance at love. One condition for human and demon to be able continue their fate is the demon must live too seek the reincarnation of the human. Otherwise, it would completely destroy the logic of fsmm.
