Title Bulgasal: Immortal Souls Spoiler
Good drama I liked it. Many saying there's no romance between the leads but I disagree because even though they're…
I also felt sorry for him. He told her he felt uneasy about her leaving him, and she tells him "I will never." But then ends up doing it anyways, and tells him she'll be back and never abandoned him. You told him two conflicting things & that wasn't enough? You guys been together for so long and you left him alone all of a sudden. My assumption was she wanted to care for those kids and like he said she cared for them as if they were her own. I guess she wanted to have kids and Bulgasals can't have kids. She could've told him that when they entered the cave and they could've just raised them or if that wasn't possible cause she wanted them to be raised by humans, could've just brought Hwal along. She never realized she has a part in the blame too. It feels underwhelming for me to know this was all caused by a misunderstanding between our main couple. ET did contribute to it, but again if the couple were together when ET's father brought the soldiers, then things would be different. The story would change, but I would want a backstory more intense than that?
So many people died...cause of it
It's okay for the root of the problems be a misunderstanding between a couple, but not a shallow reason like that. I assumed they were infatuated with another for a long time and all it took was that to sabotage the relationship. There was no proper buildup.

Title Bulgasal: Immortal Souls Spoiler
You made a perfect summary of all the things that I didn't understand during the drama! The only thing that I…
Yeah I forgot about that part. I never fully understood that part either. Like how she found a way to curse him to prevent him from future attacks. Although seems like he was able to fatally wound her in the last episode.

I don't understand either. Initially, I was misled too, thinking he held a grudge against her cause she liked Hwal and it was a love triangle where he liked her but was rejected. But we find out that the only interaction they had was her protecting the children when he was a mortal.
He probably didn't hate Hwal so much who gave him that dark hole cause he wanted immortality and Hwal made him into a half Bulgasal. He told Hwal he wanted to be like him and Hwal did that.

I don't understand his obsession with Hwal. In that short amount of time they just bonded like that and the guy became seriously obsessed with him and looked like he wanted his acceptance and love. For a guy you met for a few minutes? Seemed like he hated MSU cause he was jealous... ?

Also how do you know so much about him and MSU when you walked into the scene when he was sitting on the ground with bunch of swords in him and you guys didn't even have a convo about it. How do you know he loved MSU and he took his soul to save her? That's a lot of assumptions he made because I doubt he'd find those answers cause no one else knows about it besides Hwal. (and maybe MSU would later figure it out if she saw Hwal reborn again)

Title Bulgasal: Immortal Souls Spoiler
It was good. I wished they explained more things in the end? Also...as Bulgasal pairs they had no interaction with humans and they've been living with the same repetitiveness? When MSU had the interaction with SH and DY, she felt something for them (Immortal life felt more exciting when humans are involved!? Cause seems like she started to yearn for them over Hwal who's been with her for a long time). Then left Hwal knowing he was scared she'd abandon him. Why didn't she just open up to him and talk it out properly before leaving him and take him with her?? Or just visit him from time to time and try to work out the insecurities. Should've told those kids her husband is there and she's bringing him with her or visiting him. I guess one of the lessons they wanted to teach is that just because you know each other for a long time as immortals and “madly in love” with another, you can still have misunderstandings and miscommunication.

I thought the 1000 years ago plot would be something massive, but it became a disappointment. Eul Tae met Hwal for first time in the aftermath of Hwal's rage, but he became obsessive of him in that short amount of time? He was one of the reasons why the problem started. If he never blamed his crime on MSU, then it'd be avoided (come to think of it he did it twice—blamed her for killing his brother and Hwal’s family). Also he never did his job properly what was the reason? Nowhere did Hwal say have MSU turn me into Bulgasal. He wanted ET to turn him into one (this way ET would reclaim his soul from Hwal when he’s reborn and Hwal would be Bulgasal and reunited with MSU as Bulgasal pair I’m assuming).
My guess is somehow ET figured it out and didn't wanna be a mortal so he did things his way. But how did he figure it out?

Also did MSU and ET have a convo in the past at all when Hwal was gone? They never said much. All ET said was he couldn't enter their home cause MSU was there & we saw how MSU found that he's been killing humans by touching the blood.
They never explained:
- How ET knew so much about Bulgasals and Hwal's past (like how his family as a human tried to kill him. And how both Bulgasals die if stabbed in heart together at same time. He wasn't there to witness it. He only saw Hwal with 3 swords in his body).
- The whole twins thing and how MSU didn't have the memories. (If she had the memories, then she'd try to kill Hwal so she split on purpose cause deep down she didn't want to do it but was furious with him?)
- MSU curse on Hwal. Seems like he ended up caring for those he cursed and whom MSU cherished.
- The backstory of Bulgasals. I'd want to know more about them (How was their relationship like, etc) They don't have to explain all the technicalities, just some of it that was relevant?

One thing that I concluded, the reason why ET was in pain when MSU was hurt was because she had his soul (?) and he wanted to reclaim that for his dark hole..

I feel like it would've been better if we saw their past not in the last episode cause there wasn't proper closure given to Hwal & MSU. It was like a 2 minute thing where he apologized to her and I can't remember if she regained all her memories (didn't look like it. She only remembered partially?) And he took the entire blame, but I would've preferred it they would handle it better? Both realize what their faults are and not one person taking the entire blame. I'm not saying what Hwal did was justified, but you understand the reasons why. MSU should've regained her memories too and realize how her small mistakes also led to the problem. There needed to be the part where she also reached that realization like some of us did? (The tragedy wouldn't happen if you hadn't abandoned him and made him warm up to humans. And he ran up there to save you cause even though you immortal he didn't want to see you ripped to shreds and continuously stabbed? You stabbed yourself to kill both him and you so he turned ET into a half Bulgasal because he wanted both of you together.)

I'm glad they added the change in MSU where she learns to forgive and not abandon him and willing to be with him despite the past. But she needed to accept she was part of the problem. She fell for the current Hwal which makes me curious about Hwal's personality in past. I WISH they had shown something more about their personalities and relationship before MSU met those orphaned kids.

I can understand the frustration for people who were there for romance. I didn't feel like it was forced, they gave hints throughout that they cared for each other and were drawn to another. Problem was they had so much going on. I wanted to see more of their past together as Bulgasals before MSU met SH and DY. They could've just had them slowly recall memories of when they were both Bulgasals before tragedy to develop their relationship near the second half?

There’s many unanswered questions. And things they could've used for better development.
Siho's ability to read people's memories was underutilized. They probably saw it unnecessary for SH to know she was married to Hwal in the past (it would've been better that way since he cursed her? idk)

I expected a typical Romeo and Juliet ending, but I'm glad we got a somewhat happy ending. He needed to die for the curse to be lifted. His reincarnation was never explained, but oh well. He said he wouldn't since he's a Bulgasal but DY said he would off a "he said people who cross paths meet again" which doesn't explain much.

I think his reincarnated self with no memories and her as well with no memories was to show them having a fresh start with no painful memories of their past lives.

I'm okay with some uncertainty and when we have to make up very few theories. But dramas like these with a lot of uncertainties takes away from enjoyment sometimes unless you can just watch it without paying much attention to technical aspects (which I've done plenty of times. I still rated this high, but it would've been higher if it was written better and less agonizing. Had to wait till final episode to see the entire past.)
On The Day of Becoming You Feb 3, 2022
initially I liked it, then it got boring a little in the end. Definitely lots of cliches, but it's not too bad. ZXC did a great job with his role and body swap too. I just have some issues with how the story was written (and how the characters were written) even if there was a small "plot twist" near the end. Saw someone mention this and have to agree the OSTs are nice
(also too much PP on that cold medicine...)

Title Happiness Spoiler
I ended up binge watching this in a day. It's definitely a thriller overall. There isn't much romance, but it…
The episode where Sae Bom realizes that "home" is Yi Hyun. The person that you're with makes it home was beautiful. She went through the contract marriage not knowing what marriage/love is to fulfill her dream of wanting a home and Yi Hyun makes her realize what home is.

Now, some people might think there may be conspiracy theories in here? It could be satire.
I didn't focus much on the aspect of how this drug caused this zombie virus and the rich distributed it to common people because they were infected.
I was so busy pissed off at the residents. It showed the reality of humanity when it comes to moments like these. What you end up doing when you're greedy or starving and how there's still the social class differences. How people get easily manipulated in times likes these too.

I liked the complex character of our SML. He didn't hesitate when it came to those bad rich people and using them for the trials. Then you see his caring side for his wife, and he's burdened with a huge task to control this virus and find a cure.

Now, I wish they added more closure to other characters in the end of drama.
- The Lawyer & Sang Hee. These two are trash people too. Something should've been done about them too.
- So Yoon (lawyer's ex wife). I wonder what she did?
- The cleaning couple. They were fine for me initially. But then started charging people expensive for water...got caught in greed too...
- Detective Jun Guk. He probably healed. Wanted to see him in the end too.

They added some closure to:
- The old parents and the youtuber son (I'm surprised how the old couple stayed in their homes later on away from the madness and people almost forgot them). But I hated the son for how he treated his parents and how the old man treated his wife, but seemed like they will get that closure.
- The crazy Ok apartment rep and the doctor Oh. I wanted to see their penalty. All we saw was a court scene.
- The Na siblings. The brother got taken for antibodies and the siblings made up. I'm still confused if he developed antibodies how did he stay alive outside with all the zombies?? The zombies still chased after Sae Bom when she has antibodies.. so kinda confused on that aspect

I guess they didn't need closure on supermarket girl.
I felt the murder on Kim Se Hoon in 1501 was unnecessary. Poor guy was so helpful and got murdered like that. In fact, I find the whole plot twist that Andrew is a murderer near the end was unnecessary. They did need something with him cause it was mysterious that he had his face covered and scratched out ID . All the times he hid himself and put on his mask quickly when others caught him, from the side it looked like he was okay. They eliminated possibility that he's infected (which was my first assumption) when the priest is thirsting for his blood in the cup.

So the ending you can make lots of assumptions about side characters...but idk I wanted more. Wanted to see more of our couple too. I think 1 more episode would've been good. It would prevent it from being draggy and rushed.

I ended up binge watching this in a day. It's definitely a thriller overall. There isn't much romance, but it doesn't matter. Our main leads did a great job of building their relationship. I didn't start this drama with high expectations, but after watching the first episode I got interested and enjoyed the drama. Don't go into the drama thinking it's purely action with zombies. The drama has a nice message (depending which message you came up with). The SML also did a wonderful job. My only complaint is that the drama felt rushed and it seemed like they tried to fit a lot into 12 episodes. I also saw a few deleted scenes which I wish they didn't delete cause it helped building the relationship between our leads.
I'm glad I didn't have to watch a drama where our FL is weak and incompetent.

Title In a Class of Her Own Spoiler
This becomes so draggy...Now Im watching at 2x speed. Well, at least through this drama I found two actors who…
I don't think the romance between ML & FL will be any good. I get she likes him because he's nice to her and the only guy around her, but it makes no sense. It doesn't even feel like romance between them.
Also there's no chemistry. The ML is boring. At least LA or YLX keep doubting and feel weird around her in some situations. ML doesn't seem to be bothered. YLX had FL popping up whenever she wasn't there something like that? ML feels like a block who doesn't seem to have feelings..or question why he falling for a man.
Our ML only develops some feelings seeing FL dressed in woman clothes..still kinda unbelievable that it took that to make him have feelings?
Lei Ao's character is more fun and the bickering between him and the FL is better to watch? (but at same time I hoped the show gave Lei Ao a better female or not involve him in this love triangle.

FL so far is just a pretty face.. she hasn't done anything significant yet imo. Most of the impressive things seem to be because she likes Feng. Only a few things have to do with her principles. And unfortunately proved Instructor Ding's words of a "woman being too sentimental." she doesn't make any rational decisions.
Edit: So after watching more our FL seems to confirm things. She just thinks out of love and everything is for Feng and is childish but the more problem is that she doesn't think and every man needs to save her. She does some good things like covering up for the poor man and proving herself in archery, but that's it. Everything else is for Brother Feng.

I've never watched Sungkyungkwan Scandal, so comparing it to Chang'An Youth where it's similar, at least the FL there had more personality..
A lot of things feel repetitive. Also I don't understand why in some episodes they don't tell the truth??

My favorites so far are Yu Lexuan and Lei Ao tbh. It's unfortunate they got less screen time.
YLX is the most level headed and calm person.
Even Mu Xiaoman is a better woman portrayed than our FL...
I wish the drama would give more to their stories. They were more complex characters.
Also, the teachers were funny too!

Edit: I finished drama. It's disappointing. Some good parts. The ending was just quickly wrapped up.. They wasted a lot of episodes on repetitive things. It could've been used for development. I would've liked to seen some of the story build up from the past. Like between Han Sheng Zhi & Mu Xiaoman we just know that she was with his family and kicked out..

It's nice overall. I feel like both of our main characters were still lacking in some way, maybe not so much Du Sik. Their romance was alright. I liked the side characters more and their stories which actually made me feel the emotions even though I couldn't relate to it. The bromance was nice too. Some parts were draggy.

I did not expect that as the final lineup.
They really don't have much stable main vocals in there and K-group just dominated in here. They have possibly two (maybe 3) people who can be vocals but I'm sad Shana isn't here. She would be a good stable vocal. I voted for her everyday I'm glad Yujin, Mashiro, Hikaru, Yeong Eun & SXT made it (although SXT barely made it which is shocking), but why is Bahiyyih there and in the Top 3? She's okay but I think she needs time to debut. She barely stood out. The other candidates that got eliminated were more ready to be debuted.
I would've loved for them to keep the ratio of of C, J, & K group. They made people vote for 1 person which just skewed all the votes towards K group for some reason?
They really placed all the foreigners from Rank 7-9 and all the K-group in Top 6.

Yes that's why I said sometimes biased. Of course someone has to be eliminated since it's a survival show. I just don't like the judging criteria and standards. Whenever it seems like they have a fixed criteria, they end up deviating from it later on too.
We're not professional dancers either, but as viewers I feel like we can have some sense of who was great when the judges are also judging by whoever makes them go "wow".
I really hope the next time they make a show, they have real dancers to judge. I wouldn't mind if YGX & Want got eliminated if it seemed fair.
Like for Wayb, I know Noze is a great dancer and Lee Su, but I can accept why their team lost in the dropout battle.
Want's dropout battle is where things seemed off for me. The battle shouldn't have dragged on to where Chaeyeon is up last. Then we have YGX's battle where it also didn't seem right.
I just don't like MNET. It makes me wonder if they did something sketchy as they usually do.

Sorry i just drop this program because YGX got eliminated@@
i know how you feel. I probably will watch it since 1 more ep and the other teams are good too.
But I HATE how the judges are BIASED sometimes.
I know Yell would lose any battle because from Day 1, the judges weren't hyped up with her B-girling. It's like they have no appreciation for her style of dance.
And I'm sorry but they picked Rian over Moana in the dropout battle? When it felt like Moana killed it more than Rian. I guess they dragged it out on purpose because in last round Chaeyeon would go up and lose causing WANT to lose. I like the girls in La Chica, but it seems they have better group performances. Whereas in YGX I think each member is pretty good individually and they move in sync as a group too.
La Chica being in the dropout battle twice, they should've been eliminated.
If YGX had more views and likes perhaps they wouldn't have been in dropout battle. They had low views, and we can't see the # of likes.. So it feels like Mnet could've done them dirty cause Mnet hates anything related to YG.

Also BoA telling La Chica that she understands their message with Coming out crew. But Prowdmon brings a drag queen concept in and it's similar to La Chica but more artistic and they're criticized.
LeeJung is young and those mega missions probably were something that showed the gap between her and other teams since they had more experience. They just have a different way of doing things. YGX focus more on dancing than concept. Like in all the mega crew missions, LeeJung always kept the group with synchronizing moves. When they watched Coca Butter's performance, they felt it was messy which I agree with. But none of judges judged them based on how messy their dancing was, they judged them for having a story and concept.
But funny how BoA judged Want for having a messy dance on her song... it's so contradicting.
La Chica has worked with SM a lot including BoA. Some of WANT members and Noze did too but I don't recall the rest of the crews working with SM artists. They should've had more judges who can be unbiased. The only judge that I'm okay with right now is the Hwang guy in this show. He isn't at least so harsh for no reason.
On Street Woman Fighter Oct 16, 2021
Title Street Woman Fighter Spoiler
Seems like YGX and Prowdmon may be eliminated. I like these crews along with the others that got eliminated, but I'm glad they got some exposure. Although Mnet as usual didn't showcase some of the dancer's talents. They focused on certain people only. Like Hyojin Choi's dancing wasn't shown well until the dropout battle of Want. I've seen her on YT beforehand with Lia, so I know how good she is. I also don't like how the judges are too harsh on their criticism? If their dancing or concept doesn't suit your style/taste, doesn't mean you can criticize them for that. They dance way better than you guys and it's not like they're trainee idols or PD101 where they make so many mistakes that you have to criticize them. I'd understand criticism where they made mistakes. But it makes no sense to criticize someone for interpreting missions differently and want to show off what they're good at or come up with their own concept? I admire them for working hard and performing even with injuries. I've followed most of them on IG and some of them had injuries while doing other activities and then performing on this show.

Also screw Mnet's editing throughout this show. Some of the people in opposing teams know each other and have worked with each other. Some of them get along really well. I hate how Mnet initially wanted to create drama amongst them. Then it seems sketchy to me that you can't see how many likes a video has. How can you rely on Mnet to be honest with the # of likes? The views they can't cheat on since the dancers watched the view count too. Apparently Mnet also did other sketchy stuff throughout the show too. They painted Rosalin bad and made Chaeyeon a victim. And then you open IG and you see chaeyeon commenting on each dancers post with no issues.

Besides the gore aspect, I don't see much when it comes to the character development (SGH's character goes back and forth as well. At first he's like this scumbag who leeches off his old sick mom and gambles. Then you see him thinking of morals later on. If you forget the fact that the old man was evil, he tried to fool an old man with dementia. After surviving the game, he tries to make amends). They may have intended for a S2, but I don't see it happening. We know the backstories of the characters who died but like LBH's character is a mystery. He's the cop's brother and we don't know what made him go that path. Is it confirmed that he really killed his brother? What kind of relationship is that? What did they go through?
This drama's good point was to show how dark humans can be. When it comes to survival and money, humans are willing to set aside morals and become worse than animals. I couldn't sympathize with any of them except 3.
There were only 3 characters I liked and they all died. Sae Byeok, Ji Yeong & Ali.
The cop's character I wonder why he even was there. He infiltrated by himself and each time I was anxious that he'd be dead. The thing I don't understand is why he didn't just leave earlier with some sort of evidence and come back with backup. It's not like they were checking the dive gear everyday. He could've recorded the organ harvester's confession and find a day to sneak out.
They never explained the whole system either. How do the people who monitor the players (wearing red) are chosen?
The old man's identity and front man's identity was easily figured out. I don't know if they were trying to keep it a mystery but it was way too obvious (like if he can't find his brother in the dead player files it must mean his brother is either in those red outfits with shapes or masked frontman. Idk if others caught it like me but at some point when hearing front man talk in English I was like...this sounds like LBH's voice?! But i was confused cause he wasn't in the cast. And it turned out to be him lol. His english voice is hard to miss when you heard it so many times in Mr. Sunshine

Y'all are so quick to scream mnet evil editing but mnet didn't make the girls behave like this.. Everything is…
For me, I felt neither FYN & SRQ were suited for the vocal position. I'm not a fan of both of their vocals. SRQ is a great dancer though & FYN good at rapping. But judging how the mentors preferred FYN over SRQ I'm sure it was for their good and FYN also did a decent job in Mafia song too. It is childish in a way not taking any interest when it can drag your team down. As for Mnet's editing, it could be evil but at the same time it's like the same situation as Cai Bing. Would you think Mnet would go so far to make her teammates talk about it on the show too? I have mixed feelings.
I noticed SRQ's behavior off since The Eve. When the mentors asked if she would give a piece of her part away she was reluctant.
It seems to me that most of the girls feel that if they don't get lots of parts or screen time, then they won't get to debut.

If the characters were too smart, then it would be hard to actually keep such a plot like this stretched, perhaps…
If you read above, I say that I'm not suggesting to have a genius character who solves everything. I'm saying to have a character with some awareness. Majority of these dramas like to portray their female leads as dumb characters who lack common sense (not every female is so emotional that they can't even think properly). Yes, there are people like HAR in this world who don't think before they act, but using that TYPE of character to make a drama a thriller eventually loses its "thrill" for me personally. It also got dragged out for that very reason. They can still have a thriller plot but create better unexpected situations for the characters. They like to drag out the plot by showing us that the characters make mistakes that most of us wouldn't dare to do. The ML's character is a good example of a character that I would find acceptable for this type of drama. I understand why he ended up in that one situation because when you see hope of your daughter still being alive, he didn't think about the possibilities and just wanted to see his daughter so he got almost killed. It was reckless (and I did mention him being reckless), but it didn't frustrate me. It's HAR's recklessness that gets frustrating at one point.

Yeah (not including Tiffany & Sunmi here cause I already know them and they're from K-pop groups") , I initially didn't know most of the masters except for JuHee because I've seen her as Sunmi's backup dancer most of the times. She stood out as a back up dancer. They introduced Mihawk Back/Goo Young whom I only saw once before as a choreographer for most SM artists and TBZ. So I actually looked him up and he's a great dancer too. So you can't really discredit them. They're super talented and I'm sure they have sharp eyes when it comes to choreos. I saw who the vocal trainers trained too and they're not bad either. I feel like Mnet cuts off most of their feedback. They're too busy focusing on creating dramas and whatnot.
