It is well known in China that artists are OWNED by their management companies. Like I said many times before, Tencent is a powerfully rich company, which is very well connected to the Chinese Communist Party. If the CEO wants these 2 to work together again, then it will happen. Tencent pushed the release of Cheng Yi's drama right after this drama ended, so the powers-that-be can see the popularity of Cheng Yi. Of course, it all translates to sponsorship/marketing money per episode.

If Tencent thinks that this couple can make money for them, they will get it done. Look at the spinoffs of The Untamed and the Eternal Love of Dream as well as the The Eternal Love web drama season 3 with Liang Jie and Xing Zhao Lin.

I heard that the fandom is out of control, but that is what drives promotions for dramas. After watching the drama, We Are All Alone, I realized that the management team can also set off rumors to help an actor/actress career. Cheng Yi is so much more famous now even Tencent notices. Maybe the rumor is just to get attention for the FL lead.

There is a gray side to everyone. It reminds me of why The Untamed was such a hit.

Let me warn you that Prodigal Healer is not as good as Love Is Better than Immortality.

I watched Love Better than Immortality and thought so, too. due to the styling. You may want to watch Prodigal Healer, because the main leads are the same as in Love Better than Immortality. His modern day styling makes him look different. IMHO, Cheng Yi is softer looking than Li Hong Yi. Li Hong Yi seemed a little more edgy. Cheng Yi looks really good in red. He and Crystal Yuan need to be in a modern drama, because if they do another Wuxia/Xianxia they will be typecast. I want to see how Cheng Yi cry in a modern drama. Tencent is big and powerful and may be able to get this done. They got Wang Yibo/Legend of Fei and award and the drama has yet to air.

I saw Fighter of Destiny and thought that he was prettier than the girls, even Guli Nazha. But I can see the potential in him when he was onscreen with Chen Shu.

Lu Han's acting improved 100% in Cross Fire from the above.

The young idols are cheap to hire and will bring many fans.

Also, watch the Eternal Love Season 1-2 with Liang Jie and Xing Zhaolin. Season 3 is coming out. The chemistry between the leads is amazing.
