for everyone confused about events in S1, in the novels this part was supposed to be before tong nian and gun but they made gun's story first to tv show... so now we are in a timeline that precedes gun's story so we still have to see how ai qing and solo reconcile and go through how they reconcile with gun... so in ep1 and 2 Dt is 19 and ai qing is 22 then in ep3 dt is 22.... also in the novel Dt's and appledog story starts with present time when ai qing is already in Sp and K$K is already founded and their past of how the met in singapore is told in recaps but here they decided to tell it form the start... honestly I like in the novel how Dt's feelings unravel a bit by bit, and how it shows he remembers ever little encounter about appledog from the past but she doesn't know much.. also changing to robot combat is a bit strange yet till now I like the show very much, melancholic and full of feelings.. so if u didn't see s1 it doesn't matter u can see this one then go to s1...they will overlap at some point
