eisei and karyouten will have their stage later. currently it focus on building shin unit(army) and introducing…
it happen much further down the line. for karyoten and eisei, i dont think theres anything between them, or anyone for that matter. tho as king, eisei does have a bunch of concubine but theyre all just minor/extra character
Obviously I like some stories better than the others but overall I find it pretty good. each story present a grounded view on different form of romance/love. My favourite is Hyeon x Yeongju part since I think the theme is not explored often in a drama and they even done it rather elaborately so.
Also beware some scenes and dialogues are way to real for your heart. Especially, IMO, the one where Eun-hui called out In-gwon and Ho-sik's hypocrisy and when Dong-seok stubbornly stood against Eun-hui, In-gwon and Ho-sik during the later part of the story and only soften up later after his talk with Seon-A. I feel like they just pluck these words from real life events.
Did anyone understood how these people were created and what kind of "training " they were getting in order to…
the commie were like playing "throw eggs at the wall and find what doesnt break" game, aka gacha pull lmao. unless it get addressed in season2 (if it eventually made), they seems to be naturally and randomly occured at some point in the past because they all seems to be grasping at straw to find those with ability and no experiment scene were shown.
why does frank keep asking for the children? and who has sent him to delete the retired NIS agents?
either he was instructed to eliminate their children too but this doesnt seems to be the case as he didnt kill electric bus driver, or it was personal. his mother didnt try to protect him from being taken away so hes wondering if all his target were like his mom which doesnt seems to be the case and this just confuse and anger(?) him further.
on episode 9 so far and i'm actually way more invested in the kids' stories than the adults' past ... like all…
I also prefer the present time, as it highlight the kids struggle to control and hide their power. The character's dynamic and relationship are also way more interesting since they still have much to figure out and have much more room to grow, its easier to root for them. Also a bit biased since we get to be introduced and familiar with them first (lol). Thats not to say the flashback is not interesting but imo it wouldnt subtract much with one or two less eps.
