yeah im aware of nigehaji, i guess the characters setting is pretty mainstream for the trope.
it just the fact that (1) the ml have 'previous' love interest, (2) the cat (& it being sick, and (3) the existence another male character aware of the 'contract' just 'tick' my mind more than it should do, lol

the ending is pretty sick
