i always think of oldboys (and the whole vengeance trilogy) as thriller first rather than action, probably why it being in action article escaped my memory. and yeah memory of murder is one of the best title one could recommend for a thriller movie. was kinda expecting thing like parasite, the rest of vengeance trilogy, mother, bedevilled, etc at least.

nah its okay, my concern with the japanese part are mostly subjective anyway. i guess i dont really dig As the god will kind of story in live action format (i finished both 1st and 2nd part of the manga tho but then again theres something something different about how i perceive story in the manga and live action format). what really bother me the most is the cg and characters visual lol.
i did enjoy Creepy tho not as much as Confession. Creepy actually has a lot of element that i like but unfortunately none really stand out for me.
my biggest issue is how kmovie thriller is really underrepresented because i know they have a lot of more thriller than that, and really good ones at that. at least memories of murder and old boy made it the list.

korean thriller movie is known as one the best out there and its no secret that their movie is of higher quality than their drama counterpart. the issue should be 'what title not to be put here' not 'theres not enough title'. i rolled my eyes back hard to found there are more kdrama title than kmovie title, and only 1 get the thumbnail treatment compared to 3 for drama. (sorry i probably sound salty to drama only watcher at this point.) i could also argue against the 4 titles in the thumbnail but it would sound too subjective, Forgotten good tho, i enjoyed it. (now some people might be wondering why i dont just write my own damn article?? yeah im wondering about that too.)
now lets move the japanese part. first of all, no matter the time and place, whenever i see As the gods will title anywhere ill straight up say it, its one of the shittiest live action out there. now this would probably come down to each own preference but ill pick Confessions among other titles to be put up there among the 4. its show how close love and vengeance in a quite relatable and realistic setting, make you question your own value and morality , wondering if youd do the same. the directing is unique and one of the best. (i could keep go on about this lol.) Creepy is also good in its own way, but for a similar genre i prefer Cold Fish (its not up there btw). There are also a lot of thriller jthriller movie not mentioned but that probably because an difference is what weve watched till now.

lol they wanna go "surprise motafuka" us but its not even convincing in the slightest. what separate good twist and bad twist is how they build the events and the character.

no you are not, the plot is wack, the villains brainfarted and are braindead almost all the time if not all, and main characters arent that impressive either. at this point im only watching suzy being pretty honestly.
