I see people are debating about how many episodes this Lakorn would have. I think I should share more insight on how Lakorn Format is in Thailand so you guys get to know more of what to come.
First of all, Khun Chai (To Sir, with love) is part of the 'Reuan Series', which is consisted of countless Lakorn in the series but the storyline is not shared among them. However, every Lakorn in The Reuan Series has something in common. They are focusing on the conflict in the clan and how each family are striving to be the best and to get it all. You can also expect some black magic and poisonous medical recipe, which are also the things that are shared between each Lakorn in this Reuan Series.
(PS. Reuan = Family, Clan, Household in Thai language)
Based on other Lakorns in Reuan Series, 28 episodes is absolutely normal. You should know that we used to have Reuan Borrapit with 34 Episodes long. However, each episode has 60 minutes of running time and it aired 4 straight days per week back then. But For Khun Chai, as it's aired only 2 days a week with around 120 minutes per episode, I predict that it could easily get 24 - 28 episodes. (Reuan Sa-nae-ha used to air 120 minutes per episode, 2 days a week and it has 24 episodes in total as well.) Anyway, I believe there's no official statement on how many episodes Khun Chai would have yet.
As for whether you would still feel attached to the story if it's that long, you don't have to even worry about that. Normally, Lakorn has multiple plots and each plot moves so fast. It's true that you will have to stay with the family drama for long but there are many new elements throwing in on the way to the final episode to keep you posted. So if you ever decide to sign up now, be prepared that you would have to stick with it for around 2 - 3 months and you will also be surprised with so many plot twisted to come.
As for Khun Chai (To Sir, with love), it's the first Lakorn ever in Reuan series that features Gay protagonist. It's announced as a major Lakorn in Reuan series and is one of the biggest budget Lakorn from One31 this year. They are not subtle in making it clear that the plot will be resolved around Tian and Jiu (Film and Jam), a lead gay couple of the series. So you don't have to worry that you would be baited to believe that it's a LGBTQ without focusing on LGBTQ elements.
As it's already aired 4 episodes here in Thailand, you can expect to see more of Tian and Jiu in action from EP2 and onwards. However, the story is not yet moving to the point where it's focusing on Tian and Jiu yet but it should be there very soon because the pacing of each episode is very fast and it doesn't spare us with any useless time on screen. So grab a popcorn and be ready for a long ride of emotions if you have already signed in or if you are planning on signing in for this.
I can't shake the ost. out of my head even when it's being released for over a week. Checked and it seems to me that there's no official English translation of the song on the video yet so I think the only way I could really get the song out of my head would be to translate it myself and share with you guys here. The song is so beautiful and meaningful and I'm not sure if I could do justice to the song but I will try anyway.
Song Title: Our love will explain itself.... (Direct translation would be "Just look at how we love each other and that should be enough.")
There's nothing wrong in loving someone. Even when it's wrong in someone perspective. That's fine, if love happens without a force. Rules and regulations of love is not something anyone could be certain about. Love is just love, it doesn't hurt anyone.
Then how could it be wrong when you just follow your heart. Let it chooses its owner. As long as there's the love, and I also love him. Rules and regulations of love, will it be possible that we draw it ourselves. Let us pave our paths, will that be possible?
Please don't try to differentiate our loves. When it's never been different. It's just the same. Your love, my love, or anyone love. Please don't place any conditions on love. Can we just let love be the love? No matter what's the reason you have, just throw it away. Can you just look at how we love each other? Won't that be enough?
When someone is in love, as long as it's instructed by your heart.... When you love with heart and that heart is to love.... Wealthy or not, good or bad, love is not different. Just start by observing things with your heart and you might eventually be understood... That love is beautiful when it happens no matter to whom.
Please don't try to differentiate our loves. When it's never been different. It's just the same. Your love, my love, or anyone love. Please don't place any conditions on love. Can we just let love be the love? No matter what's the reason you have, just throw it away. Can you just look at how we love each other? Won't that be enough.

Thai period dramas are generally not my thing, but I started watching this one to support it having a gay character.…
Agreed. Brothers love is so well crafted that it shines out from all the angst and toxicity around Thian. This is not my typical drama as well since I dont like Mong Kut Dork Som or these kind of dramas and I thought I would also hate this drama but I was so wrong since by now I’m already attached to this brothers love and their brotherhood relationship.
wow, thank you for the explanation, I had no idea the moment was that meaningful 😌
A bit sad to see that people watching yesterday live didn't have a chance on hearing P'Kob live singing. They didn't show this Daddy Korn scene in yesterday concert.
wow, thank you for the explanation, I had no idea the moment was that meaningful 😌
I found that it could be skeptical to the inter fans because inter fans don't understand the context here so I think I should at least try explaining what was going on along with the meaning of the song. For Thai fans, we were generally moved by this performance from yesterday night. This World Tour Day 1 did things right in so many levels.
I am moved by the sea side bar performance and others from yesterday night! Many people are saying that they expected more from Major Clan Family, especially when comparing with the Minor Clan Family which is lit. But I'm very happy with their performance due to so many reasons. The subtext behind the song though. That's the thing the scene wants to say. it may look very soft but it's very meaningful.
First of all, Daddy Korn (P'Kob) is one of the legendary singers here in Thailand. Having him on stage and hearing him singing once again is worth every freaking damn cent spending on the ticket price since he is not singing anymore. Also, the song he chose to sing is one of the most iconic songs from him called 'Miracle'. TBH, at first, I couldn't really tell if I'm happy with the performance because I know how the lyrics end. It's a tragic song about 2 people who happened to meet at the wrong time so they wish that there would be a miracle that could bring back their time so they could meet at the right time before one is taken. But by the end, the Miracle DOESN'T exist.
Not only because it's a scene that Kinn could finally fulfill Porsche's dream of having a bar by the sea side, but it's also a scene where we get to see the cute side of Daddy Korn (and his secret wish). Also, Daddy Korn and the song he chose to sing is perfectly matching the situation.
P'Kob sang the song and tried to encourage Apo (Porsche) to sing along but he couldn't really sing along (I think he was emotionally carried away by the lyrics and its meaning.) and he stopped somehow in the middle and stood still. However, at the final rhyme where the lyrics would end with 'Miracle doesn't exist', P'Kob stopped and asked the fans and everyone to stop singing along and then panned his hand to Mile (Kinn), giving him a signal to finish the song. Mile stopped for a brief and then started to sing the final rhyme with "I will make miracle exists!" instead. P'Kob then looked at Apo with gentle smile while Mile was also looking softly at Apo. Apo then started to smile.
TBH, it's really difficult to differentiate the Apo from Porsche and Mile from Kinn during that moment. Mile even have to remind himself that I'm now Kinn lolll. Acting or not, but the performance is so pure and heartfelt and it moved everyone both on stage and below.
I have to say that I'm so satisfied with this performance. And the Zhan Zhao and Sun Wukong was so freaking cute that I couldn't stop laughing. Mile always says that Apo looks like Zhan Zhao, who he really likes in his childhood. Having Apo dressed as Zhan Zhao is so funny and fulfilling at the same time loll.
This was such a great comment, I love how you pointed out your most favorites episodes and what you enjoyed about…
Normally I don't really like writing long review about anything but this series just gave me so much feelings that I had to write about it somehow loll. It's lovely to see that the community is still active even after the series ended for weeks.
I didn't expect this when I first signed up for KinnPorsche since the novel is way off balanced for me. However, the series takes it own way of executing everything and is awesome in all level! Shit, I feel all characters even Erika. This must be the most satisfied episode Penultimate and Finale in any series I've watched in my recent memory! Live on par with BBS and The Severance level!
I love how they crafted Kinn to be more human than in the novel. I love how they made me feel for the character that I didn't like at all like Vegas and the relationship that I kept on screaming NOOOOOO between Vegas and Pete. I love how they don't make Porsche's attitude a toxic one. I love Tankhun for just being Tankhun which is very weird since I thought I would be annoyed by this character so much when he first appeared. I love how they give Kim justice on showing his skill as one of the three mafia family new generation members. I just love Erika without having to give a freaking damn reason! And yes, I love every characters, main or sides (except you know who). They all have such an amazing chemistry and backup stories! I loved and enjoyed every episode as in EVERY! However, if I have to vote for my top 3, it's EP6, EP13 and EP14.
In EP6 - I have no idea how could they make a 2 men stand up show become very much addicted, moved and touched at the same time without getting bored AT ALL! Their chemistry is off the chart. The director could really use this single episode opportunity to explore the personality of Kinn and Porsche amazingly and took us on a roller coaster ride of emotions. Mile and Apo portrayed Kinn and Porsche in a way that I don't feel like acting but 'being' is the word that is right for them.
In EP13 - I couldn't stop thinking of how could they do this. Previously, I felt no regret or pity for Vegas at all. I'd never rooted for Vegas and Pete relationship at all and I couldn't see myself crying for Vegas or VegasPete relationship like ever! There was no slightly sign that they would make me cry 'til I lost my breath like this. The 'Contradiction Song' is so beautifully written in both lyrics and melody. I ended up crying my shit off for Vegas and Pete in a way that I wouldn't expect before. Bible and Build performance in that scene alone is an award tier and no one can talk me out from that idea.
The graveyard confession scene is also very touching and beautiful. The interaction between Kinn and Porsche and the way that we all know Porsche hid some major things from Kinn that could lead to trust issue is so real. When Apo changed his facial expression after Mile talked the line about trust, I couldn't rest easy from there on. And the ending, OMG! my worst fear ever is the bloodline issue. I was not in the right state of mind to take that troll anymore.
EP14 - My gosh!! This is how you end the series with a bang. This is a season Finale that is very rare to see. Before KinnPorsche, I felt satisfied by the ending of Apple TV+ Original 'Severance' as it kept me on edge and I thought for a second that this would be unbeatable for long. How I was wrong about that, few months later and I found KinnPorsche Finale that kept me on edge with twisted and actions and emotion until the real final second of the episode. The confusion created in the Finale is legit and is a leading to Season 2. However, they did really close all important issues that they started in Season 1 within the Finale so I don't feel like being left in the middle of the ocean like most of the series I've watched.
The action sequences are executed very well. I like how they could bring all the characters together in this madness of season finale. They didn't leave anyone behind, not even Erika. I love how they created the fight style that is very suitable for Tankhun and Arm. It's so believable and satisfying. I love how they gave Kim a solo fight scene that is so kick ass cool!! OMG!!! I freaking love everything in the Season Finale.
All in all, 10/10. I don't say it's perfect but the way it's being executed make me forget about every flaw here and there in the 14 episodes long series. I love it at maximum.
I am actually rewatching my BL faves. At least I know I won’t get disappointed. Hard to start something new…
lollll I feel youuuuu. This morning, I'm also rewatching some contents from Bad Buddy The Series instead of jumping into the universe of the new series as well lolll.
Since yesterday I tried to watch a new drama Vice Versa and all but seems like nothing is good. Too bland. Tasteless....Now…
Vice Versa in the novel version is very good. Give it few more episodes in and I think it would be great as well. Though I haven't started yet since I still want to be with Tin Tol a bit longer.
By the way, it's ver difficult to find the series that would start off very captivated like Triage. Triage got me on edge from the very first 15 minutes (The long take ER short) to the very last minute of the series. It will be very hard not to judge the new series from the first episode though.
