I will definitely have to rewatch that scene as I didn't actually notice that squeak people are talking about in Disney+ Hotstar version. I will recheck tonight after EP6 and will let you know if it's something to do with youtube version or it's down to the source material.
And the whole memos pasted there… looks like the memos his mum left for him for those 3 years
They are memos from mom. Adding pastor word into it, Heart must feel super lonely before meeting Li Ming. Somehow I thank that shattered alcohol bottle for bringing him the precious Li Ming.
The USA sweat coat Li Ming is wearing just keeps screaming right in front of me with the fact that his goal is set to USA. I can’t imagine how broken Heart would be since Li Ming is the only one who truly understands him.
Gemini, Fourth and First are outstanding in this episode. But Gemini steals it for me. Holy molly. I can’t even explain how deeply I feel for Heart. I’m like a lost soul by the end of the episode.
I cant believe this is the performance that is coming from a Rookie in his debut series! Wow!!
All the post it on Heart’s wall from his mon…. I feel so sad I dont even know what to say… I feel you Heart…I understand you.
I’m so emotionally drained.
And Uncle Jim, dont you dare saying Li Ming is still young when he has guts to face the problem and fix it his own way. You are a grown up but u keep running away because of your scars or whatsoever but Li Ming is doing what is right in his own term to save someone important up from the deepest pond of despair.
Will I end up in hell if I am manifesting the Chinzhilla boys and Mister School President and Vice President to fail the test so they have to study again one more year? LOLLLL
Well, I dont even mind Khajorn taking over Tinn’s position so Tinn could finally focus on studying and being with Gun for the whole one more year.
Saying so, I think I would still wish for them to fail the high school test all over again in circle if it means I still get to watch them somehow loll.
If you remember, the pastor said that physical touch is crucial to the deaf because when they can't hear anything,…
That's what I thought too. Thanks for sharing this. I don't think Heart really means anything. He just wanted to physically touch Li Ming. After hearing what pastor said, I got goosebump and couldn't look at that scene with the same energy I first thought anymore.
I would say, “I need more GeminiFourth”, but seeing as how they already have their own show, watching them…
Watch My School President. Tinn, Gun, Tiwson, Chinzhilla boys, Mama Gim and everyone/everything in My School President is the thing staying in my heart rent free. MSP is just one of a kind. A series that is so mesmerizing and you actually feel those terrible feelings knowing that you are about to bid farewell to all of them.
The beginning of episode 4 is so healing to my eyes. I don't even know what they were trynna make with their fingers…
If you remember, the pastor said that physical touch is crucial to the deaf because when they can't hear anything, touching makes them know there's someone right next to them. Heart just wants to do physical touch with Li Ming as a way to legibly FEEL the person right next to him.
Also, Heart offered the T-Shirt written "Touch me if you can" to Li Ming. At first I thought it was super cute but after hearing what pastor said, I know it's not just cute. It's what he is craving for. The touch from someone that he feels safe to be with. The touch from someone that actually sees him.
I saw a comment in Kent's reaction video stating that each episode actually represents a month worth timeline.Ep…
Exactly. According to the official trailer, it seems like the following episodes will be like...
EP5 - Jan: New Year. EP6 - End of Jan - Beginning of Feb: Chinese New Year EP7 - I can't think of any important festival in March and the official trailer doesn't seem to give any hint to any other festivals but if Li Ming is very serious about Work and Travel, it starts during March - July of each year and I think that could have been a plot for EP7 and EP8.
When I was in University, I attended Work and Travel Program and I flew out around March so it should make sense if we get to see Li Ming spending his time finding himself in USA during EP7 and EP8 while other characters are also developing their story and relationship. Though setting up USA environment without actually filming there would be quite difficult but P'Aof has done it before in Bad Buddy Series when Pran went to work in Singapore during the first half of the final episode.
Thank you, I appreciate you explaining the Thai viewpoint. Different cultures have differing views and it's good…
I love reading you guys comments as it gives me insights of the people from different locations around the world as well. I'm glad if my comment could at least get you closer to some local cultures and traditions.
I kinda understand those who didn't enjoy this episode though. I think this is the very first episode ever that we don't get to squeal over TinnGun in any scene. The whole episode is kinda heavy and it doesn't give us that feel good vibe we always have with the series until almost the end of the episode (When Tinn and Gun has their moment, friend reunited and family consoling e/o) Not to mention the fact that we have been through emotional wrecked on the previous episode and it's continue with the same vibe of emotionally whiplash in this episode. Some could easily feel like these 2 episodes are off the core of MSP, in which everyone is falling for.
However, I do love this episode very much and still think that the series just keeps its rhythms and continue to exceed the previous episode though. The messages conveyed in this episode are just very beautiful and executed very well. The friendship and the acceptance of the family. Those are being shown in such a beautiful way in this episode.
My School President has been such a consistent series in term of quality and everything. It's not difficult at all for the series to have just few episodes that some might not be able to get into it. If I just count correctly, until now, My School President only has 2 episodes so far that people are having different opinions, at least on kisskh. One is EP9 and another is this EP11. I think it's already done great so far.
PS. I, personally, don't mind the kiss AT ALL since it has never been a priority thing for me from EP1 up until now. I'm not naive or anything. I just don't think kissing is matter that much, or even at all. Maybe that's why I don't feel irritated.
Maybe it's just me but I lived through my high school life with my significant other but still I didn't have any kiss back then and I just experienced it later in my life so it's totally convincible here. As a Thai, kissing is not what you could expect to happen easily anywhere. We don't even kiss in public and it would look very weird if you do so here. Not to mention the fact that people would look down at you for doing that even when it's a kiss of a straight couple. Kissing is not really a thing we really put first to show passionate on e/o so it's not the sole driver or even that important to feel like we are losing something at that age by not kissing anyone, not even our lover.
This might sound weird to some but Thai people could easily take it when seeing 2 guys loving each other or hand holding each other publicly without feeling anything as it's part of our culture and environment but seeing even a straight couple kissing on the street or publicly is a BIG NO here. It's a cultural stuff and it's not applied to many countries in the world but it is what it is here. Hence, kissing is actually not a big drive and you can see that Thai audience makes no fuss about it at all. So please keep in mind that these characters are in Thailand and they live under the environment and culture of Thai, which might be way different from where you are.
If friendship is not usually being told in any series or films in a very beautiful way that often, EP11 of MSP is the epitome of that. It’s a tribute for a friendship everyone deserved when looking back to our high school era. It made me realize how beautiful it was to have those stupido around ready to do all the dumb things together and laughed at all of those. It’s been few decades but the nostalgic is there.
Thanks the Chinzhilla for never just letting go of each others. You guys are such a precious fictional characters. Only thinking that I will have to bid farewell to all of them next week is already uneasy. I have never felt invested in any characters in a series as much as I feel for them before, The Chinzhilla, Mr.School President, Mr.School Vice President and all.
Not these boys hitting me with emotional waves 3 days in a row…. I just love the whole gang so much. After all the 11 episodes, I feel so invested in them.
I think it's 'A stone and a star'. The one we get to hear in the latest intro.
I’m off to prepare tissue paper. Not GeminiFourth does this to me 3 days in a row. I can feel the emotion just by reading the song title. The fact that this is the only song that has been kept as a secret ‘til now. Perhaps EP11 is still a cursed one but in a beautiful way?
Every character is a complicated one but the one that frustrated me the most in ep 4 was Wen. He is able to give…
Wen is very clear on his relationship with Alan. The problem is on going because Alan just can't let go and accept the fact. I think Wen is really being very direct by telling Alan the situation between them now. He even added that he will move out anytime soon since he can find the new apartment now and tell Alan to be prepared for that. The one that is still holding on is Alan. He even went to see their friend and asked him how to revive his relationship with Wen again. You can see that Alan is just a hot headed and will never easily accept the fact that they are no longer in relationship.
Wen made it clear that he doesn't want to join the birthday party of Alan's niece because he is not in the position to anymore. It can't be more direct than that now. I just wish Alan could finally let go for his own sake. I have been in both Wen and Alan shoes before so I quite understand the frustration here.
Damn….
