I think someone said it here that Ming Yu has low self-esteem. She wanted to show the best version of herself/successful, happy, etc. (Which is probably why she doesn't want them to know about her office secret romance). I agree with you that she's the least likeable character as an adult but people does grow out of their childhood, they can catch up with each other from time to time but you really can't be like how you are when you're a child. Also the incident plays a major impact in their changes. I understand her character to some aspect tbh.

LMFAO I LOVE THIS DRAMA. It has its seriousness AND comedy. The main couple is so cute as well. Special praise to Bai Xiao Sheng (The shadow spirit) , HE REALLY ADD SO MUCH FUN AND MAKE ME LAUGH A LOT LOL
No, BYL’s dad has always been an evil person and he never even care about her. The misunderstand arc will not happen because BYL is a smart person that knows how to reason. XD also puts her above everything else so it’s such a mature relationship and LITERALLY GOALS.
