LoA has a very interesting plot and a unique kind of martial arts relating to cultivating souls. The first half of the story was well done with many impacts and twists that keep the viewer on their seats, but it goes downhill from there. Overall, it was an average drama and not as bad as you describe it to be.
- Most people are disappointed because of their high expectations for the Main Lead. He indeed performs well in Ever Night but this is a different drama. Arthur's performance was average and watchable but it still doesn't satisfy the audience.
- Please DONT makes any excuse for the Female Lead. Cheng Xiao was horrible LOL.

OMG That old monk? I found him very mysterious/suspicious at the beginning. I thought that he would be the one to steal the scroll but it turns out that he didn't and even help Xue Zhi/ Mu Yuan escape so I rest my case there. I legit have a feeling that the old monk was scheming something big.
- OMG OMG OMG. I KNEW IT KNEW IT AHHH. I should have suspect him till the end.

People surprises me every time LOL. The amount of ridiculousness in the OP is beyond my imagination.

If all these speculations turn out to be true in the drama. Ima changes my major to a detective LOL. Jksjks.

Anyways, I do hope whatever Mu Yuan's motives for turning dark in the future might be, he will redeem himself. BUT if what Christine said is true. "Xue Zhi shield Tou and Mu Yuan have a meltdown, then he leaves." Then Mu Yuan's character truly resemblance Run Yu LOL.

I don't remember the lines but I remember the scene. Yes, if that's the case, I'm pretty sure Lu will use Mu Yuan to kill Tou. It will provide both of them benefits even if they have different motives.
- There will be two villains, one is Mu Yuan and one is Lu. They might share the same enemies for different purposes but I don't have many details about Lu so my main focus still shifts to Mu Yuan as the villain. I do understand that Mu Yuan will turn dark sooner or later in the story. He might be driven by jealousy or further reasons to be exposed. He once stated that he won't let go of Xue Zhi anymore which could mean that he's determined to take Xue Zhi away from Tou no matter what it takes.
- If Mu Yuan is as you stated, that's for good intentions, right? and not like the type that's evil from the start who plot just for his own goods but for the greater goods of other people as well as Xue Zhi.
- I meant to state that Mu Yuan will be the villain but I would just hate the fact that he plotted everything from the start. It just sounds like Mu Yuan is evil ever since the beginning. I rather have Mu Yuan turn evil due to jealousy or other exposure that leads to hatred later in the story.
- I'm not too sure about Qing Mei's motives as of yet but he could be another villain who strives to be like Xue Zhi's father. His rival would be Xue Zhi as she achieves further stages of the martial art than Qing Mei as of in the drama. He could plot to kill Tou as well due to his hatred towards him.
- Mister Lu stays low profile but his motives are beyond what everyone imagines. He might be the one who's behind everything that has happened. Remember the GOLD that Tou speculated? The politics probably has something to do behind the spreading of the diseases. <- AND THIS MAN MIGHT BE THE ONE.
[ Sorry, I don't read the novel so these speculations were based on the drama/trailers so far. ]

Yeah, although that could be the case, the drama still makes drastic changes comparing to the novel. The Guardians/Xue Zhi originally want to take him back to the Fire Palace for some questionings as to why he steals the scroll. Of course, mishaps happen but I don't think MU YUAN planned those assassins. If there are some plotting between Mu Yuan and Hong Sheng then I think there should be some hints already. If the director makes some kind of plot twist after Mu Yuan pushes Tou off the cliff then it just doesn't make sense to me. ( Okai, he might plant Hong Seng to steal the scroll back to the Fire Palace, but that's good intentions isn't it?) If Hong Seng's motive is different than Mu Yuan then he's on his own. Hong Sheng didn't just steal the scrolls but he secretly learns it. Kill anyone that becomes a threat to him. Makes everyone thinks that Xue Zhi was the mastermind and selfishly burn the scroll so no one could learn it but him.
- I would hate to know that Mu Yuan is the real mastermind. I just simply don't understand the reason behind it. I don't mind him turning evil for whatever reason later but knowing that his tender care for everyone was just a joke IS SO HURTFUL.
- I didn't talk about Lord Lu since he's irrelevant to the drama as of now. [Zzz When every hot guy becomes evil in drama. Can't bear to hate.] He could work for MISTER LU after Xue Zhi cut ties with him but MISTER LU would just simply use Mu Yuan as a chess piece to get rid of Tou. There's a dialogue of MISTER LU hating Tou and want to kill him. [ Kinda forgot what he said pog]

Please. DEFINITELY DON'T WANT ANOTHER RUN YU. My heart is very fragile. I CAN'T TAKE IT.

The first version is heartbreaking, full of sadness but the second version is even worse lol. I legit don't even know whether to hate the fact that Mu Yuan will get used by Qing Mei or Mu Yuan is the mastermind behind everything LOL.
- Let's eliminate the differences between the novel and the drama.
- Mu Yuan didn't steal the Lotus Wings, he's the one who found the culprit. [ Based on how Mu Yuan acts now, he's very honest and loyal so I don't think there will be any plot twist to this ]
- Qing Mei is focusing on mastering the Lotus Moves with the monk. Idk what he up to but he will definitely be evil later.
- It could turn both ways but I'm feeling very uneasy with Qing Mei for some reason. Based on Qing Mei's hatred towards Tou alone is enough to tell that he wants to kill Tou sooner or later.

"Xue Zhi is told that Tou is dead and so she decides to remarry to Mu Yuan, not the crippled guy because she still doesn't know that's the real Mu Yuan." Can you clarify this? Does it mean that Xue Zhi is willing to marry Mu Yuan since she thinks that Tou is dead? And the Mu Yuan that she marries isn't the real Mu Yuan but someone else? and who's the crippled guy?
- I think the drama will follow the first version with some alteration. Qing Mei has been showing some evil intentions like wanting to be the best at martial art and secretly learning the Lotus moves with the monk. He has been going out often ever since the cancellation of the wedding ceremony.
- This story is a real mess. I just hope the writer will execute the ending nicely.

Can you spoil me with details on why Mu Yuan turns evil? I know that he will turns dark sooner or later since the beginning but I still enjoy Mu Yuan as he is now. :( Hope it wont happen soon.

I legit don't understand your point. It seems like you like fighting scenes/action drama then you probably should just go watch a drama like Nirvana on Fire instead of trash talking a wuxia/romance drama that doesn't even fit your taste to begin with. It's called wuxia/romance where the whole story is focused on nurturing the relationship between the two main leads so of course there will be a lot of talking. Why bother with a drama mainly focuses on something that you hate?
- It's basically saying I hate Talk Shows since all they do is talk.
- Legend of Awakening might be AN AVERAGE drama for you since the romance is ass and it is the most irrelevant part of the plot which they add mainly for viewership.

What did LG even do within those 4 months in the TIME SPACE ZONE. I'm suddenly become quite curious.

I can't seem to start this drama for some unknown reasons. Could someone tell me some positive things about this drama to give me a courage boost?

True, Feng Zi is naive and I don't blame her for that since she doesn't experience enough to understand. She lives all her life with tender care and love around her. I hope this major exposure will be a big impact in her life and just hope she will mature then OR ELSE... Ima ZZzzz.
- OMG That brings up one of the saddest scenes that I will always remember. He crumples after his mom dies and cries in the corner of his bed. I was hella crying with Run Yu and feel his pain deeply. The Evil Empress took the child away from his mother. Made him live his life with the memories of his mother torture him/ hate him. I just---- Even if the Empress gives him some affections. Everything she has done is still unforgivable. This woman legit wants to kill everyone. sigh. <-
- The actress plays the evil Empress gets a lot of hate IRL too. Even though it was just a role, but many Chinese citizens wrote hateful comments towards her. :(
