i think the ending was like that, probably to pass the censorship or something, dunno if its confirmed or not but i think i've read or heard something about this before..

cdrama, specially modern ones are really bad at this type of convoluted stories. it works in kdramas but CDRAMAS are specially bad at executing this type of series. they are good at modern light and fluffy series.

sweet spot wouldve been 30-40 eps imo..

sweet combat doesn't showcase her acting imo, ive seen her in to be a better man and her acting their is phenomenal imo..

only princess agents had a cliffhanger ending on the list above iirc.. and some had good but disappointing endings like fuyao (cant recall entirely but iirc it's a quasi good? and Heavenly sword which is rather disappointing as the ML seems like an idiot lmao...

cuz of the last eps, lmao theres tons of timed comments like, "Just leave her, she's not worth it, she's a liar, etc.. " honestly the viewers and timed comments on VIKI can be pretty toxic sometimes and mostly it's the female viewers talking trash about the female characters..

same, VIKI wants viewers to engage as if its a viewing party, but it's either praising how hot the males are or how stupid, dumb or ugly the females, so far few spoilers tho haha LMAO

I watch this on VIKI, and people hating on the FL lead lmao, irl nobody has perfect communication, what those female viewers are expecting is a perfect relationship which is not possible, and imo the leads in this drama had one of the healthiest relationship ever.. This is why i dont get everytime i watch on Viki its clear that viewers of dramas are like 80-20 FEMALE - MALE RATIO or even 90-10 but the timed comments either praising someone cuz hes hot, mostly the male characters and for the Female characters the viewers are hating on her ?? i mean chill..

honestly I think GXT can act, ive watched her on dramas like To be a better man and her acting their is pretty solid for a depressed orphaned teen whos scared to be left all alone in the world, but for her other dramas I think her characters are too bland or rather she cant portray romance more eloquently i think...
