They are not related at all! But from what I remember the ML's dad "loved" the FL's mom. The ML found this out and thought that that was his half-sister. But, her dad is someone COMPLETELY different.
I am not sure why it took me so long to watch this, but I really liked it... The leads were so hilarious together. Xiao Tan is my favorite character. I will say those last 4 episodes were very strange. It was not bad per se, but there was much going on. I was trying to figure out what exactly was going on in the last few episodes. It goes from time traveling to wuxia to BL. Like what is going on?! 😅 Then, the weird ending... thank goodness there is another season because the end left a meh taste in my mouth. 8.0/10
All I am going to say is I lost interest in the last 5 episodes. This reminded of how I felt with Love & Redemption bc they introduced characters (Xuanye & Rangqing) I loved more than ALL of the cast. At least my favorite couple got their happy ending. As for the ending, it was so rushed. I do not regret watching it bc it definitely had its good moments.
I guess I will go watch the extra 4 minute clips they added. Something to watch to pass time. 7.5-8.0
My thoughts through the 1st 20 episodes ----So, I did not think the ML was handsome, but he really grew on me. Also, I did not expect to love Jiuchen's character so much. He really is going all out for his woman, Lingxi! His love for her is so pure and amazing. ----Lingxi is one of my favorite female leads so far. I love her spunky & Naive spunky personality. I know it will not last bc this is a Xianxia & the writers do not want our hearts to be at peace. Also, I love how she was gradually able to melt his cold heart. ----Jingxiu is the dark horse of this drama for me. I do not fully understand his motives yet, but I love this character's screen presence. ----Qingyao is one of the best sisters in a C-Drama. She is so loyal to her sister. I hope they keep her like this & not make her betray her as most other CDrama sisters/friends do. ----Lebo is the best father. So hilarious and caring! ----Shisan is the best! Although, she does deserve better than Siming. ---- Yunfeng is so funny. I wonder how he is going to be with the one he loves though bc he did her wrong in a major way. I personally could not overcome what he did to her. We shall see. ----Lingyue is so elegant. I hope she finds out who her daughter is. ----People who need to die a slow & painful death: Yuantong & god of heavenly thunder

MCs do not get together until ep 29 with 1 kiss scene then in the last ep. .ML mom dies… FL lead writes a letter saying she killed his mom (she did not) & that she did it for revenge since the ML supposedly kill her father.
