So, I watched this for Jeremy Tsui bc I heard he was a good actor, but I am not sure what to think of him after this drama. His make-up was not good in here and facial expressions were weird.
I usually am one of those people who believe in watching shows to form my opinion despite negative reviews, but I want to warn you guys THIS IS NOT THE SHOW FOR YOU! I love solving mysteries shows and this was exactly that and it was decent in the beginning, BUT it lost my interest quickly.
The leads had a cute chemistry, but I cannot say that they were likable characters… like I did not feel the need to root for anything they did. THEN, THE ENDING WAS TRASH! I mean I, feel as though it is not worth the time bc it is a mediocre story with a BAD ENDING!
If you came for a romance, FORGET ABOUT IT. It says slow-burn, but I want to say almost non-existent. I do not recommend. 2/10 Maybe less. 2 stars for the ML’s mom & the OST.
I hate the troupe where the ML mistakes the identity of his childhood sweetheart for someone else... and it is the FLs hateful sister at that. About to use the skip button
Amazing but brutal & heartbreaking story. This show was purposely made to rip out the viewers hearts and trample on it umpteenth times. My heart feels bruised after finishing this.
Everyone's acting was good, but Darren's was mesmerizing in this role. His screen presence was too strong & I felt like he had me in a trance most of the times. His character reminded me so much of Itachi, one of my favorite anime characters. I really wanted him to be happy and do something for himself... but he keep putting others 1st and just wanted to be in pain.
Never seen Xiao Zhan in a drama before, but he was an exceptional 2nd lead. He has made me a fan. Also, I did not expect to, but I really ended up loving Yao Ji's & Bao Na's characters.
If you are thinking about watching this, just prepare your mind and soul for the therapy you are going to need afterwards! Because, I think somebody hurt the writers for the emotional abuse they put the audience through with this show. I mean the pure torture my heart went through. Smh. I still loved it though & the OSTs is one of the best from a Chinese dramas. 9.5/10
OKAY, WOLFIE HAS COMPLETELY WON ME BACK! Smh. This show is so much for my heart rn. I wish they could be happy together. If only they could communicate better😭
I usually love the MLs & usually always want them with the FL no matter what. But, my FL does not deserve all the pain the ML is putting her through. After ep 27, I just do not think they need to be together, she deserves someone who is going to be in her corner in a non-toxic manner. If anyone loves me the way Bo loves Zhai Xing. I do not want it.
Okay good! I am fine with Esther as the lead she is doing a good job. It is just the stupid things the FL does sometimes that annoys me. But, if the misunderstandings are not too big, I guess I will continue on.
