Guys! Episode 1 & 2 are intense! The content remains the same with all the suspense of being caught while cheating during exam. Though drawn from the box office hit movie, the series will add more thriller to the on-going cheating scheme in the classroom, and I surmise we can expect blossoming a romance between Lin and Bank, which it did manifest subtly in the movie.

Although that is a consequence when a developing country like the Philippines has embraced globalization, I would not want that to happen in the future. Just to give you an idea, the Philippines has diverse languages; we have local and indigenous languages that are on the verge of extinction when no one from, say, a specific ethnolinguistic group speaks in their native language. It is the effect not only of globalization that hinders them to communicate in the language, but the imposed national languages that the Ph Gov. mandates the people: Filipino and English.

Filipino language incorporates loaned words from Spanish (predominantly) and English, but the basis for this national language during the presidency of Manuel Quezon under American Occupation was Tagalog, an Austronesian group of language, commonly linked to Bahasa Malay or Indonesia, with words borrowed from Hindi and Mandarin. The modern Filipino has adapted switching languages, so much so that we no longer follow the grammar of each language (it makes a Filipino appear like conyo, which means one looks pretentious in speaking in Taglish [amalgam of Tagalog & English]). Many of us are, really, having a hard time speaking fluently in Filipino due to the curriculum being followed in Education and the demand for English as single most important foreign language to master. But, if you are going to visit some places in the Philippines, you will notice that Filipinos do not speak Filipino in their locality. Rather they are accustomed since childhood of speaking in their mother tongue (these are local languages apart from Filipino such as Kapampangan, Ilocano, Cebuano, etc.), which makes sense that Filipinos could be polygot by speaking not only Filipino and English, but also their mother tongue.
