Random things I like...probably more superficial. Off the top of my head....at chapter 20
-The length of the hair. I like the butt length hair. I have seen a lot of dramas with waist length hair and it's great too but somehow love seeing the longer hair on both the men and the women. I also like the hair ornaments, particularly xia jing shi's ones and the wisps of hair at the front. -I like the costumes. You can see the differences between the two male lead's kingdoms but both have their appeal. - Most of the leading leads are all too beautiful. The FL is also beautiful - The fighting scenes. I don't know if they are my favourite but they surely give me something to watch. Love the work with the swords especially -The ML's ruthlessness. His ways make sense considering how he grew up with betryal and assination attempts and a scheming stepmother. I don't feel his behaviour is unjustified. He still has space to open his heart to the FL
giiirls… hear me out: in what universe does a man look this flawless while crying his heart out?? damn, our…
they are beautiful men. I am only at episode 20. So far I haven't seen any females going after the ML and I am glad but it's a little hard to believe with his looks. Of course, he would swat away everyone. Thee FL is like his equal
ok...was wondering about Ji Ran. I think he could be a great partner to someone if he opened up to it but the path he takes is fine. Does he ever get jealous?
ok thanks for answering. I wasn't sure. I am at episode 18. Sometimes in these series a character like Lu Xin eventually ends up with the first guy after he gets jealous with a new guy like Mo Xin. Satisfied though.
are there any similarish dramas where there is a powerful woman who has male concubines (rarely see male concubines) or is considered lustful (but really isn't like that because it was a false rumour or there was a switch like in this series? Actually there don't have to be male concubines involved but if the man is being forced to marry the woman and it turns out the woman is not as bad as he thought
At episode 6. Outside of Zhi's personal maid, her pregnant aunt and the matriarch and the old guy servant I don't care for the rest of the family much. I imagine more of them will come around and value Zhi more later but for now they are arrogant. However I must admit that usually in these dramas the family members are usually much worse and certain backstabbers. Most are a bit selfish but not the worst people to live with for now and it should hopefully get better
So far I wish they could interact more. Not too much interaction in these last episodes but I guess they have their own stuff to deal with. I am looking forward to Hua Zhi realising that that it is nicer to marry someone you actually love because in the first episode she doesn't really seem to care too much about who she marries. I imagine she is just being realistic because women can't really escape marriage in those times and she was lucky her engagement was to a good and may I say handsome guy like Shen Qi although he won't be the love of her life.
I really like the Ml's voice. I guess it's dubbed. I have no idea but I like it. I also really like his style of martial arts. Love the fighting scenes
