I'm excited! Love them both so much in 'Maturot Loghan'! From the intro video from Mike and Mookda, I already know this drama is going to be my type of genre

don't know yet. three months ago when they released a teaser for this drama, I saw a short video interview of Sean and he said they have about 30% of filming left to do. This should mean sometimes within the first three quarters of this year, we will get to watch it. But this is just my guess. It could be next year since because of the covid outbreak in Thailand, it's been causing a lot of pause in the Thai filming production.

After 'Ancient Love Poetry', I told myself I'm not going to watch any sad/bittersweet drama for a while so I can heal from all the crying and heartbreaks I went through from the drama. And have been putting off watching all my cdramas with tragedy stories. I still haven't recover from 'ALP' when I started 'Red Sleeve' but since it had a comedy vibe I started it without much thinking of the real history it's based on.

When I first saw the teasers for 'Red Sleeve', it was interesting and the first two eps was full of comedy. On the second week when ep3&4 was released, I watched again and it still makes me laugh 'til my stomach hurts so I decided to keep watching this drama. But as the third week arrived, the ep started to get serious so I decided to start reading comments on here to get more info about the real history behind this drama. After knowing the tragic ending in real history, I thought maybe the drama won't get to that point; that maybe the drama will end where she finally accepts his request to be his concubine.
Then later on I notice a recurring topic and I had a prediction that this drama will go beyond her death. After realizing this, it was already too late for me to drop the drama since I was already too invested in it: so I told myself to expect sadness and embrace myself for the sadness/tragedies.
At the end, I still cried like a crazy person throughout ep17. Even though I didn't cried as much for 'Red Sleeve' as I did in 'ALP', my still healing heart is all broken again because of the bittersweet ending of this drama 💔😭😭💔

Idk what's with all the hate for this drama for it to get such a low rating but it's a really great drama and deserves a much higher rating than it is getting right now. And this is coming from someone who have recently started losing interesting in dramas(the thing I used to be most interested in). Only a small percentage of new drama can catch my attention enough to the point where I will watch it now: so if I watched this drama then that means it's a great drama! So great that I not only find it interesting but ACTUALLY watched it. And I'm not saying this because i'm a fan of Lee Jun Ho or Lee Se Young because I'm not one their fan. I don't even know who Lee Jun Ho is until this drama and I think his acting in this drama is phenomenal, including the FL and all other actors/actresses! This drama deserves more recognition!

same. my eyes are sooo going to be swollen tomorrow(today) when I wake up later cuz i'm gonna go sleep in a bit since I finally finished the last episode. I cried 95% of the time throughout ep17 😭

I didn't do my research about the real history and the historical figures of this story but based on what everyone else is saying, it's a sad ending in history.
And from reading everyone else's comments of their thoughts about the ending, I realized something.

At the very beginning of this drama (ep1), they showed us the death of a concubine(who rise from a court lady status). Throughout the show, the topic of how differently a court lady and concubine of the king is treated after death (especially the head court lady). This was especially evident in the latest episode (12) after head court lady died.

From what I've observed, it dawn on me that this drama has a very high percentage of having a sad ending. So I'm not going to even expect a HE or else I might be hit with disappointment when the drama ends.
I'm predicting that this drama will probably end with the death of Deok Im: Showing her getting that grand/respected funeral that a court lady will never receive even if they've been serving for over 70 yrs in the palace or is a head court lady.
If not then someone tell me why this topic keeps getting talked about and shown throughout the drama.

I just started cuz i was waiting for more eps to be release first.
I'm at ep15 so far but I already lost count on how many times I've cursed, punched, and strangled Zhao Xiao and the stupid emperor whenever they appeared on screen, especially zhao xiao. He's now second on my list of most hated SL guy/villain, just below BaiLin from 'Love&Redemption'

no i haven't. I'm not really into chinese modern drama. Only on rare occasion do I watch and finish a modern c-drama.

I was going to watch 'one and only' & 'forever and ever' but the first story is a tragic one. although i know it continues in the 2nd story taking place in modern time with a happy ending butI'm still recovering from 'ALP'(been 2months but I haven't recover from it). So I'm going to wait a while until I watch another tragic story.

However, I am anticipating his drama with Dilireba, 'The Blue Whisper' !

this is just my guess but Qiao Yan's aunt look suspicious to me. My guess is that she and that old man with her are the villain in this drama; also the one behind the accident. My intuition are telling me she is bad news ever since she makes her first appearance in the drama.

I didn't do any research about this drama and it's story so I know nothing about this drama, the plots, settings, etc. I only came here to watch this drama because I like what I see from wetv's short clips of the drama


p.s. I don't need spoiler answer, just a simple "yep, you guess right" or "nope, you're wrong" is enough for me :)

I know you said you don't do request for novel translation but it would be so great if you do translate all the novels in connection to 'Ancient Love Poetry'

And no, you're not obsess. many of us think the same about Bai Jue not deserving these hates. I've been pretty quiet this whole time but after I literally bawled my eyes out watching the last 3 episodes, I just couldn't stand seeing people still not understand the reasons behind Bai Jue's actions and them hating him anymore. I just have to come out and defend him and try to explain things to those that can't seem to see from Bai Jue's perspective.

Bai Jue can't erase all the memories before she met him because then she will also lose her memories of her time in the nether world. And that's a core memory for her since that's when she learn how to fully use and cultivate her chaos power. Bai Jue is the reason she decided to go to the nether world so her time in the nether world can't be erase. If you're going to say, "but he can just erase the memories that have him in it".
Well, like you said, Shang Gu is quick witted so if she don't have her memories of how her god vessels was unblocked and how she became so powerful, she'll start to look into it and will still eventually find out the truth because it's 'destiny'. She won't easily believe that Zhi Yang and Tian Qi were eventually able to unblock her god vessels because they have tried for 10,000 yrs and couldn't do it.

well, the tribulation is like a slow motion ripple in the water. It starts in the center and slowly spread out. When Bai Jue release the tribulation of Chaos so he can sacrifice himself, he stops the tribulation from spreading any further than the radius he's standing at. He completed the tribulation as soon as it starts again (unlike 60,000 yrs ago where it started for a while before Shang Gu finally show up).
And he also took it to the most isolated place in the three realm (and that is the destruction platform that Tian Qi set up), so ofc no one will hear or sense it. And you have to remember that everyone thought Shang Gu already stop the Tribulation of Chaos 60,000 years ago. If you're asking, "but shang gu didn't turn to ashes and die. Wouldn't the immortals be able to tell /suspect that she didn't complete the tribulation?", well everyone thought it's because Gu Jun was able to take a piece of Shang Gu's orignal being and cultivate it to revive her. Everyone believes the tribulation had been handle with and won't return. So yes, the tribulation can be hidden from the world. If Bai Jue can hide it from the three realm for 60,000+ years, he can hide is from the world when he initiate the tribulation again to sacrifice himself.
He really do expect Tian Qi to make up a lie about his death to Shang Gu. He even tell Yuan Qi that his third uncle will slowly explain things to him when he asked Bai Jue where he's going and why in ep48.

I also want to add to the above comment that Bai Jue also lived a life worst than death for 60,000 plus years. He blamed himself for Shang Gu's death, for unblocking her god vessels so she can cultivate her chaos power to become chief god of chaos.
If you think about it, Bai Jue was living his peaceful life, guiding young immortals in the immortal realm. It was Tian Qi who came to bring him back to the God Realm. It was Zhi Yang who told him to unblock Shang Gu's god vessels and ask Bai Jue to help her cultivate. He wasn't the one who voluntarily go to them asking to be Shang Gu's master and help her become Chief god of Chaos. But in the end, he only blames himself for everything. He didn't know what the tribulation of chaos is. If he knows, he wouldn't have agree to the task of helping Shang Gu become chief god of chaos. I think reading this article might help you to see things from his perspective and the unconditional love he has for her.

'he make her life worst than death'? why do you think he erase her memories of after the nether world? He didn't want her to remember that their relationship went beyond master and apprentice, to save her from misery after his sacrifice. He never wish for her to regain those memories after his death. He expect Tian Qi to make up a lie about why Bai Jue die.
She was wearing that bracelet when she wake up again and didn't give it to Bai Jue until later. So why didn't the memories return to her when she had the bracelet? It's because fate want her to know the truth that fate make her regain her sealed memories when she see the bracelet again.

Even as a true god, he can't tell the future. When he split his original being to cultivate demon power, he didn't know that the other half(Qing Mu) will have it's own consciousness and run away. He didn't know that his other half will become Qing Mu and fall in love with Hou Chi. It wasn't his plan to have Hou Chi fall in love with him again.

clearly this person wasn't paying attention to the conversations in ALP at all. His reasons for doing "nothing" was clearly stated in his conversation with Tian Qi in ep43 at Gu Jun's "tomb".
He even explain why he ignore Yuan Qi and his mother in episode 47 (but i guess this person will need eng sutitle to understand that conversation)

I've been quiet this entire time but it's just ridiculous seeing how some people can be so blind when the obvious/answer is right in front of their face. In both spoken words and body language, it's been shown over and over again the pain of Bai Jue having to feign ignorance to what's going on and act cold towards his love ones.

I hope that when eng subtitles is here for ep49, these Bai Jue hater will finally understand him. What Tian Qi say to Shang Gu in ep49 answer all their questions about Bai Jue's action towards Shang Gu.

And gods don't physically age so who says a god have to look mature/older? Even looks can be deceiving in real life, so why can't it be the same in a fantasy drama lol
