I watched it thai dubbed on a paid website for thai lakorn. In both 'Mahakali' and 'Devon Ke Dev Mahadev' (the most recent adaptation), Kartikeya was born in a similar way of how Yuan Qi was born. Mahadev and Parvati combined their pure energy/power to give birth to Kartikeya (I know in scriptures, he was born differently but I'm only referring to the series)

I use the explanation from the indian series I saw because it's the most similar to Hou Chi's pregnancy. other religion, I've never seen their movies/dramas so I can't compare or reference to it.

From watching the raw episodes and seeing Bai Jue and Tian Qi's repaired relationship. My guess is that it's all part of their plan to expose Wu Huan of her evilness. Tian Qi would never believe that Yue Mi will come back just like that and he wouldn't get kill that easily

if you watch the rest of the raw eps, there will be many obvious sign through Bai Jue's expressions and actions that he still remembers his life as Qing Mu. His conversation with Gu Jun in ep40 also confirmed that he remembers everything.

I think it also had to do with she's not pregnant like mortals. her pregnancy was more of her and Qingmu's power combing to form a life than dna multiplying to form a fetus(if that makes sense 😅)
I watched this indian religious drama where the main leads can't have a child the physical way so they put both their power together and cultivate it for a long time which eventually turns into a baby. And I'm applying that to Hou Chi's pregnancy because it does help explain why it took so long for her to show sign of pregnancy
