I do really like this show! I like how both versions of SeuBi get air time. Usually only the (pretty) one gets all the air time. I also like how they matched the personality of the character so its harder to like one over the other. Tae Ri’s character is really thrown me for a loop after his stern secretary character in The Beauty inside. Didn’t recongized him with the blonde. I am hoping that they don’t do the “one year(or more) thing. Sometimes it’s agrevating.

Ryung was the best character. She was the drive for all the characters in the story especially at the end. I imagine that if Gwi had saved her he would have disappeared with her.
I recommend watching this in both translations. Unfortunately with DramaFever gone it’s hard to find the second version without a ton of horrible long commercials (on Asian crush) All the links I find for it have the Lustful Student version of the translation. Looking for the Forbidden Quest version.
I’m starting to think this might be released later. Teasers are now being shown for Jin Goo’s other show The Clown and the King. Even though it might be different stations they might want to wait till spring to show it. I hope not!
The one uncomfortable part I found myself squirming is the conversation about the murder at the table. In Guk of course is angry that their daily conversations dealt with murder and death. I didn’t like how he was still hoping that Min had had a normal childhood even though he knew his brothers mindset and what they were both capable of.
So Yi Huar just walks away and then goes mad? I was so disappointed with his part this year. I was hoping for him either to be happy with Pan or to be really evil and none of it happened. With the opening left for a third season it does mean that he will return (still being at the palace) but WHY????
I was pleasantly surprised at the addition of the second antagonist. I wasn’t happy how he “became a good guy in the end” without actually redeeming himself. I do hope to see hope to see him in a similar role in the future.
I’ve been putting off this show for others coming up but after seeing the nose kiss between the boys on insta I’m sucked in! Who else wants to see Ki Young starting in a Rom-com ? He’s a great second but it’s time to see him shine.
I loved this show. As a huge vampire story fan it was at first cringe worthy but after getting over the growling, the story became intriguing and completely unique. The girl is a bit “Bella” like (you know who I mean) being the human stuck between powerful beings but because her and Ya Long’s time line are different their relationship is more friendship based than obsessed based. Ya Long’s character is far from perfect but given that his character has 3000 years to learn and change (most vampire characters have a few hundred or under a hundred to live) he has the time to think about what he really wants and what he has to do. The master’s character was frustrating at times and I wish he had shown more affection for the girl instead of just teacher/ student talk. It was upsetting how it’s revealed that he was all those lives where he showed her affection only to at the end reveal how he was cruel to her for loving whom she was made for. (Adam and Eve parallel?) I don’t think a third season would work. This is the good/ bad side of K,J,C dramas. Amazing stories with true endings. Maybe a Korean version could fix a few kinks but in no way could western writers use the material.
