Maybe the author thinks that by making fun of mental health it will become less of a dogma in China and will become more acceptable to seek help? Personally I'm not sure it's a good way, but would be good if it worked.

It still can be good if in the later episodes they will unknowledge the bad behavior, misunderstanding and lies from both sides and grow to communicate better imo.

I didn't mention cinematography or acting in my comment, so what makes you think I don't enjoy them? And I did like looney tunes, if that's related (?). I did laugh at some scenes too and I did not say you ot others can't enjoy it.

It's sad that the protagonist was thinking it's a sign he will go blind... what a nightmare. Also her sister dared to say "it's normal for you to have hallucinations" WHAT?! I'm not a fan. The ML in this drama is also strange... obsessing over people he doesn't know. Still I feel sorry for the way he keeps seeing people die in front of him since I've seen some things in the hospital myself and that's messed up. You can see that he's not doing well because he blames himself for their death, despite it not being his fault.

Just saw EP 20-21. (spoilers ahead in the comment below) The dynamic of the main couple reminded me of that in "I'm Not a Robot (2017)". Deceiving someone who trusts you and rely on you because of their medical (psychological) condition can traumatize them, even if you didn't intend to. Gaslighting the person into thinking they are having visual hallucinations to not get caught lying is morally grey to say the least. So far this drama can be summarized in "deception, gaslighting, revenge and therapy". The ML's friend saying "psychological illnesses are as important as physical, let's go to the hospital" is so ironic and hypocritical, given the fact that the drama makes fun of it most of the time.

I also like the secondary characters and their friendships. Only wish they'd advise their friends to not do something that might hurt others or at least not support them when they do it. For example the friend and the sister of the FL helped the FL to prepare the death in front of the ML and the funeral...and also the friend of the ML didn't tell him it's not appropriate to get obsessed with a stranger girl and to keep on texting her ect. if she expressed that she's not interested in him.

the drama is in the thriller/detective arc (but still with their strange sense of dark humor ^^'''). I hope she will pay for what she did and he will understand that it's not ok to obsess over strangers and to kinda stalk them.

Agree. This drama has some messed up humour in it. Maybe we're the ones being too sensible to the topic of mental health? Idk.

She saw that him being in pain, then started to question his sanity and yet she still didn't tell him the truth, so part of the responsibility is on her. Agree with the rest of your comment.
