They created him that way , because of the typical cliché. That's the whole point of my comment. They can't make the FL win by just being better option from the start. They write a**h0l** and bullies and then use some secondary characters to say "see? there are even worse people!". Well, maybe be a nice man to the female lead from the start?

Beautiful movie. It talks about a still very present problem, if not more nowadays. It's easy to judge a stranger in the internet (especially "stars", haters are everywhere, but we may never know what that person is going through... there is no respect of private lives of celebrities as well. It's tragic.
