In their defence I must say that it was impossible to show the book ending because of the chinese censorship (same as for The Bad Kid).

I can't recommend this drama enough, it's probably the best of this genre I've seen in years, from any country.…
They are indeed similar, because they are based on stories from the same author, in fact from the same trilogy. (The 3rd adaptation will be The Long Night). And all 3 from the same sceenwriter.

I'm disappointed in Chang Wook, Yoo Jung and especially Eum Moon Suk for accepting these roles.
I wanna make clear that it's my point of view. People can watch the drama and judge themselves by their moral standards. To each their own, I don't think my idea is universally the only one right, correct, possible or whatever.

I don't mind actors playing roles of bad people, as long as they get punished or at least portrayed as ones. In this case their actions are glamorized and presented in cool /romantic light in this drama. As for Eum Moon Suk 's character the problem is intrinsic in his being, so no matter what he does, the problem is who he is (I mean the fact that the character itself is made in a racist way and it stereotypes one profession), so the fact that he's also a pervert is secondary...
