I'm disappointed in Chang Wook, Yoo Jung and especially Eum Moon Suk for accepting these roles.
I wanna make clear that it's my point of view. People can watch the drama and judge themselves by their moral standards. To each their own, I don't think my idea is universally the only one right, correct, possible or whatever.
I don't mind actors playing roles of bad people, as long as they get punished or at least portrayed as ones. In this case their actions are glamorized and presented in cool /romantic light in this drama. As for Eum Moon Suk 's character the problem is intrinsic in his being, so no matter what he does, the problem is who he is (I mean the fact that the character itself is made in a racist way and it stereotypes one profession), so the fact that he's also a pervert is secondary...
Was the webtoon Suzan a different Suzan from this show, then? Because the Susan in this show is a scientist who…
Yes, she is a badass sniper there and can kick some ass too. Important part of the rugal team (in the webtoon female characters are actually doing stuff, without the need to make male characters say that they can do it). Things get more shown and less just narrated.
The WEBTOON is much better. It deserved a good adaptation and this isn't one. They even removed a black female character with disability (Suzan), because (???)... Maybe one day it will have a western remake without changing the plot and censuring it.
