People need to watch the show before they dump their ratings. If you watch one or two episode, don't feel entitled to leave your opinions behind for us. It's a drama, people need to calm down and stop nitpicking at racial issues. Sometimes I like to turn my brain off and just watch some dumb shit. Okay thanks!
I was expecting him to gay or having another family hidden in New Zealand lol idk but I think that the second…
The way I think it went down is that he was friends with Eun Hee and was crushing on her sister, he either never got the courage to tell her or she never gave him the chance as she got married and he took her photos. He had to stick around for Eun Hee since they were friends from college with her boyfriend and he ended up developing feeling for her but probably didn't know what to do with them so he just kept them to himself. He even decided to show her the picture he took to see if she would even consider him but she tells him about her boss and he disengages probably because he doesn't want to ruin the reunion. I'm not sure who he will pursue at this point but should be fun.

Wow, thanks for the reply. I have to agree on Chan Hyuk that he seems to be somewhat of a player. I have no doubt that Eun Joo knows that he liked her before and probably chose to ignore it since he was Eun Hee's friend. According to the preview it doesn't seem like she takes it well at first but it makes the sister's come together to confront it. I'm pretty annoyed with her interactions with a barista boy, like I'm sorry he looks like he's 20 years younger than her. Wish they showed her having other friends and not just one random guy if that makes sense.
I was expecting her husband to either be cheating on her or be infertile and hence trying to make her leave him on purpose. I did not see the gay chat room coming, but it does work as well. Well done in keeping up the mind games, hopefully, they don't come back to contradict each other later on. Eun Hee makes no sense; if anyone sensible has been cheated on, why would they want to do the same thing to someone else. I think I understand what they are going for but still makes her an unlikeable character. I'm more interested in Eun Joo than anyone else, she seems like a strong women and I wanna know how she is gonna deal with this bomb and what Chan Hyuk does if anything.
Your comment made me think a lot! Very good point. That’s a huge fallacy. How can he save himself if the “original”…
I love how the best we can do is to say don't expect too much or just take it that the show will figure it out, lmao
It pains me so much because the actors are great, lee lim and the fl both do decent jobs, the scenes are beautiful to look at, and the story has so much potential. I can only imagine how much money they spent on this show with each of its over the top scenes and luxury cars.
My personal theory is using back to the future mechanics with some Steins:gateLet us say there are 1000 parallel…
Couple of points, it's cool that you're using other references to branch off of but if he's from the world where lee lim is supreme ruler, why would he have the ability to travel between worlds let alone even know they exist.
Assuming, he finds out about the universes or its common knowledge, he then manages to steal the key to travel and magically saves one version of his past self. My question is how would that be an acceptable explanation for what we are seeing, the show has never shown us another universe other than his gf's and it seems so counterintuitive. If this was actually the case, and he traveled back from a diff universe then why does it matter if he saves his father or not as they will just branch from then on.
Let's not forget the fact that he is given the black jacket and her id card in the ending scene of Ep 13, does that mean he obtains the jacket from a diff version of her in his own universe? like where is this even going?

While I agree that it's possible that he goes back knowing he would not be killed as a child, and lets even assume he knows he cannot save his father because it would change too much of the past but only goes to guide his younger self to his current moment.
The question still remains or then becomes that a endless cycle is created and at one point he has to make a different choice on whether to interfere or stop going back entirely. I feel like the writer did a bad job trying to help viewers follow along.
Yes, you can grasp at straws and make them fit, but good shows build upon themselves and tell a story not spit it out at the final moment forcing you to accept it as it is.
Thanks for the reply, can you also explain the reason as to why they keep going into the interdimensional space because it was said that time passes much slower outside and yet he supposedly spent time trying to reach the end and even goes back and plants more seeds. If you were a rational character, you would try and limit the number of times you travel back and forth let alone taking casual strolls with your gf.
Does anyone wanna explain how it's even possible for him to save himself? In order for that to occur, he would have had to grow up but obviously he would have died if he can't save himself. It's like the chicken or the egg, which came first. Let's assume he came from a parallel universe to save himself. But by this logic, it would mean he was omnipotent even able to travel between universes with prior knowledge of how events will unfold. I really hope they don't say something along the lines of "He puts the stick together and all of a sudden, it makes senses and he is able to understand what he needs to do in order to save himself and the world." Really becoming a laughing stock.
so because she was trynna get money out of him=eh, not as bad since they're both bad people. uhhh, no sis. horrible…
Not at all, I'm a guy btw. I am in no way saying what he did or she did is justifiable. I just think people should know that it was more than just him in the wrong. If I was the gold digger and I was being suggestive the whole night and drinks were involved, it is not hard to see how things got out of hand. The whole reason this escalated was because she planned it that way/alcohol was involved . If she didn't report it as rape/ had voluntarily been coming onto him because she liked him, it would have been a different story entirely. Again people are gonna say, the cctv proves that he took advantage of her because she was unconscious, however when you read the articles detailing her statement to the police, she states that he raped her twice, meaning she wasn't completely out. This in no way excuses the fact that he shouldn't have brought her to his place in the first place let alone attempt anything romantic in the state that both of them were in. I tried the first episode and dropped it in the first 5 mins, I just don't like his face but thats my own opinion.
So, I am not a fan of the ML but I decided not to let that stop me. Instead, I did some research and It seems like he did indeed admit to non-consensually spending the night. However, it also turns out that the girl was planning the whole thing to extort money from him as shown by the text-messages between her friend and to her mother. So, while he is a trashy guy, he was involved with a trashy girl as well. If you wanna watch it for go sung hee or whatever it may be, I would try out a few episodes before you drop it just because of him.
I really don't like Choi Jin Hyuk as an actor, everything seems forced, add in terrible fight sequences and corny lines and you have a 1990's action flick. I'll give it another episode or two but man its hard to stomach.
All the dramas you mentioned are exceptional so far
I guess it depends on what you mean by meaningful because I like watching characters develop and romance isn't always bad. But only romance does take a different mindset to watch. Any examples of k-dramas you thought were good and meaningful off the top of your head?

Sorry if i am coming off as annoyed
