what stops companies from doing a season 2 to extend the ep count?
I have to say, I'm hoping the rule forces these production companies to make better shows. there seems to be a lot of wasted side story and banter with the longer series.

I think this series would of been more sucessful if they just had the ML/FL solving random crimes in their police career rather than the mess it became.

I think the age gap difference is kinda hard to watch since shen yue has played mostly school-girl roles. She is even really short which makes it very pedo to see her with a 40+ year old ML.

The story didn't make much sense after a while , it was like they just went back and forth to make more episodes. Regardless, I found it very addicting to watch and cute.

There is no need for season 2. Usually extra season to an happy ending only puts more misery into the characters of the show.
