Okey ,, finished the drama and still there are too many un answered questions and they filled up the last two…
I could give an explanation to each of your questions.. But then where is the fun in that? Some of you guys are pro in the mystery department.. So.. I don't think we need to 'see' it to actually 'know' what could've happened..

It's actually nice that it gave us the liberty to assume the most obvious parts.. Your imagination's the limit..

Title Link: Eat, Love, Kill Spoiler
While this drama was good on building suspense, humour and portraying the effects on the people left behind it…
The killer CAN BE a psycho.. not that he was reduced to being one. I think the writer intended not to give his backstory unnecessarily, given that he wasn't the main focus of the entire drama. He caused the conflict but he isn't the one on the spotlight..
(You might be surprised how many 'monsters' there are out there UNREASONABLY killing other people. Netflix is actually filled with this.)

The 'link' that was created when DaHyun promised Gyeyoung she would tell her brother if she doesn't make it out alive, the very important fact that GyeHoon needed to hear..the thing that would break Gyehoon's guilt.. I think that was necessary and also touching.. Before Gyeyoung died, it was the only moment when she also finally felt how his brother feels, they were sharing their loneliness 😒 this only emphasizes how close their relationship was. DaHyun started 'linking' with GyeHoon probably when killer killed Gyehoon's dad.. More guilt on his part.. He's becoming desperate.. Link provided a way for GyeHoon to go back and face the monsters of his past.
I also don't think there's a need for us to see how his dad was killed. Afterall, it's probably keeping us hopeful (like GyeHoon) to somehow see his dad again.. Alive..
Although, it was implied when Jinguen & killer met at the alley & asked GyeHoon how his father is.. The killer got to his father.. Or(as one of our viewers mentioned in twitter.. Credit to @sph_7) the father caught up with the killer, found out he killed their Gyeyoung but was overpowered by the killer. Depends on how your imagination goes..

That was the most satisfying and fulfilling ending ever!! β™₯️β™₯️β™₯️
I love how they gave each character a fulfilled ending.. It is indeed a healing drama.
I know people will love to hate (still) probably coz the story didn't turn out the way they wanted to satisfy their love of mystery.. But..
Personally, I was all smiles in the last episode.. Then I was crying so much.. 🀧🀧🀧
I love how it ended, how there's forgiveness, victory, new relationships, revived relationships, severed ones too (for good reasons).. I love how it felt like a hurdle overcame and a fresh, clean start for so many characters were shown..

But that last scene!!! I wish they just let us enjoy just one more.......... 😟😟😟 (you'll get it when you see it)

I absolutely do not regret sticking til the very end... It filled my heart to the brim.. It is so comforting..

Yeo Jin Goo truly did a spectacular job in this one from beginning to end..not a single episode did he loosened up.. He totally nailed this role πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘

Kudos also to all the casts and crew as well(behind the scenes were so fun to watch!!!)

I'm on episode 12 now and oh my God they are dragging this out so much, I kinda want to just skip to the last…
You're 10episodes behind, I think. They've long established how they aren't siblings πŸ˜… they even have a (negative) dna test to prove it..

Ugh, I would like your cmnt if you have avoid writing 'women on her period drama'. Yikes. It is sexist and disgusting.…
Right, people should be more understanding of life and charge themselves with patience...
I was wondering why you couldn't use this when you watched this drama. Understanding people's pain and all that... The show isn't requiring you to cry.. It just sounds so cold when you complain like that while most of us are all crying along with the characters.. (like women on our period, right?)

"woman on her period" yeah you should delete your comment
Well it becomes offensive when used in the manner you've used it. Crying over your monthly period is fine.. But comparing it to a guy who have suffered all his life and finally dealing with the pain head on.. It hink it's both offensive to a woman (coz that's a bit of exaggeration to be crying like someone died) and to a person (esp a man) who is going thru much more than the physical pain of a menstrual cramps.

Like you said, it's only women who go thru that pain.. Then maybe quit using it to describe a man's situation. Men wouldn't be able to relate anyway..

once again realizing that every time i like a drama and come to the comment section i wonder if we're watching…
My fave series this year too 😊 people nowadays are hard to please. Sometimes viewers have just become very critical of dramas that are supposed to be viewed easy.
I think some viewers have already been trained (also by the series they watch) to keep wanting for more complicated stories. It has trained us to look for clues or foreshadows or connections, esp if there is mystery.
But personally, I intend to enjoy dramas as they are. This series tells a story, a tragic one, and how a single irresponsibility (say, of gyeyoung's parents) have lead to more selfish decisions and have ultimately ruined people's lives. It isn't just a mystery that we need to solve. It's more of a journey we take with them. And I'm loving the development of some characters but most particularly of GyeHoon.
I've watched Beyond Evil (also YeoJinGoo) and that required the viewers to think and theorize most of the time.. This is different.. There isn't much theorizing coz story is quite simple, actually..since it's a story being told. But the morality is the heaviest to render and I appreciate how it was so bold and brave to tackle those head on.
So as for me... Like you.. Nothing negative could sway me in finishing and appreciating the show.

Kudos to YeoJinGoo & MunKaYoung and the rest of the actors for accepting such audacious project πŸ₯‚ it may not be mainstream but it's definitely one hell of an eye opener..

Is the romance good in this drama? Or is it more of a mystry drama?
Yes there is romance & yes there is mystery. But that isn't all you're getting. As much as the mystery is part of the plot, I think there is more to it than knowing who's done it and what happened. It's more of what lead to the events that have made or broke the lives of the people involved particularly the leads.
The romance has become the leads' motivation to keep going and it is BEAUTIFUL.. ❀️
No toxic 2nd lead syndrome or tropes like a confused fl to be with a red flag kind of guy..πŸ˜‰

whoever gave high rating with the view of first episodes, and started to get bored, just change your ratings please.…
Wouldn't that be your own opinion? I certainly think it deserves 8.5 at the very least... That's of my own perspective too, right? I wouldn't force or ask or beg anyone to give the same rating as I did so it's a bit odd to be asking people to change their ratings just coz you tried it & didn't like it. πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

I am so tired of all the crying, small talk and the darn cup of tea/coffee talks. I swear to God this is the last…
Sorry but I'd have to disagree.. As much as it is true that heavy scenes are in every episode, I think it's only warranted by the kind of situation that the leads are in..
There were light and funny moments here & there, especially during the start.. Which was before we all were well-aware of Gyehoon's heartbreaking life. Who wouldn't be sulking most of the time when writer clearly drew that he feels he wasn't allowed to be happy all his life.
And there were also those heat-fluttering moments between the leads...(which I'm here for) but 10mins of some of these fluffy parts & I see people already complaining about how it's gotten 'slow'. But I should agree how it needs more romantic scenes(which I'm hoping to see towards the end).
It's the first time seeing someone complaining about the drama in it given all the elements & issues our leads have to bare. And contrary to what you mentioned(that he didn't have the spine..?), I think GyeHoon despite his lonely & tragic past has been very brave in taking it to himself that suffering shouldn't stop him from building up a career and taking care of his mom by himself. Something his dad didn't have the balls to do.

Personally, my standard of an 'all crying' series would be something like 'Missing You' /'I Miss You' (also has YeoJinGoo in it)... If you've seen that then that is truly a nonstop crying fest... πŸ˜… Compared to that.. This series would be considered nothing in the crying department...

Title Link: Eat, Love, Kill Spoiler
This is a weird question to ask now, but do you guys remember that scene where Dahyun wakes up and finds Jingeun…
That isn't a weird question.. Afterall, it wasn't entirely revealed yet what happened to her that night.
There are different possibilities & one of it could be the Ljg's killer, the fish guy.. Who might actually be planning to kill him from the beginning.
It could be euichan (wontak's dad) but I can't seem to connect it & can't find any possible motives..
Or... It could just be DaHyun herself.. πŸ€”πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

So is this drama romantic in any sense? Is it worth the watch?
Yes, the romance between the leads is explosive and is almost tangible ❀️ the nice thing about it, is that the story doesn't just focus on the romance but the relationships around them. These relationships may be painful but their love & connection is what heals them and gives them the motivation to go on.. Youll have to see it to understand πŸ˜‰
Be ready for all the (societal) issues that are tackled also... Truly a unique drama that doesn't shy away from issues that are harsh and very real.

He was listening to LJG and was already crying and enraged. It's not a time when he can diffrentiate his emotions…
I agree, Gyehoon's emotions are probably more overwhelming than DaHyun's right that moment..

if gyeyoung happened to be dead , then whole neighborhood will be responsible for her death... πŸ˜’
True. Like it was mentioned many times, takes a Village to raise up a kid... & to ruin it too..
