What's the meaning of the title? How its related to the drama?
Link: eat, love, kill. Romance/romcom may be its main genre (the love part), but you'll have a lot of 'slices of life', real life issues and how victims deal and heal from it (the eat part) & mystery (the kill part) and how it all connects (link). So don't expect for one genre to move along without the others and you'll have the best ride you could possibly experience! The performance of the actors (especially YeoJinGoo) is top tier, you'll be blown away. Warning, though, once you start.. You won't be able to stop. So finish all your chores, get your proper meal ready (you'll need that), have your tissues within reach (you'll need it too) and hold on to your heart.. You'll definitely need to... And enjoy the ride! πππ
I actually find there is a legitimate reason to be asking for a break up.. I mean I've seen a bunch of kdramas, as most of you did, having truly ridiculous reasons and I find this isn't one of them. Some of you may have already predicted it but doesn't mean it's indeed absurd when it happens. Every relationship (if you've ever been in one) has to go thru this inevitable stage at one point.. And some (irl) for most ludicrous reasons. But that's how love is. However, here..the break up may be reasonable from DaHyun's pov. Mind you, she can't tell anyone about the dilemma in her head(not even GyeHoon, esp GyeHoon) coz for one, she can't entirely remember why & how this memory happened, & it's upsetting enough to start remembering her tragic past now(when she just started a wonderful relationship) ..but what's even more painful is that it also involves the tragic past of the person she value the most at this very moment. Plus, not remembering what exactly happened back then to you (and your friend, who's the sister of your boyfriend) is terrifying!! Why were you kidnapped? What did these people do to the two of you? And now she's remembering she left a friend.. And she died... That's heart breaking as it is but she's only remembering it now.. And that is so awful to realize! She has all the reason to doubt herself(& her past) coz mum & granny can't even find the words to tell her what happened to them. I don't mind spending half or an entire episode having GyeHoon & DaHyun get back together as long as they do. I know they will, we all know they will but I'm here for the romance (as I've already mentioned before).. So I'm excited to see how they deal with this and be together again! β€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ You might say.. It's going in circles, they've done the push & pull earlier... But this here.. They are already invested with each other.. They love and are in love with each other.. They have shared healing moments together.. And now the challenge has just leveled up... Yes, I'm so into it! I want more of those heart fluttering moments! I'm also happy how relationships around our leads are healing... Sejin/wontak.. He is starting to remember how he was as a kid.. He isn't some dumbass... He ws a loyal friend. His sincerity & honesty might've gotten him into trouble but I believe good judgement can be learned & practiced.. Esp when your good ol'friend is back to put sense into you. I'm hoping for a father-son healing moments.. For sejin's sake.
I don't like to discuss (yet & again) how adults.. I mean the older people, were all crooked in different ways... I'll let the series finish & see who the "crookedest" is among them before I start delving deeply and see who among them would be best to blame for our leads' painful exoerience.. π
Lastly, acting fest! YeoJinGoo has been seriously remarkable in every episode! He has grabbed my heart..tickled it, smashed it, mended it then shattered it in pieces once more then tickled it again... The amount of battery my heart went through just watching him onscreen is incredible!! If you're finding reason to start this series....there's your undeniable reason, Yeo Jin Goo. β€οΈ
Feels like I'm one of the few ones still enjoying the drama and loving every bit of it?? At least that's what…
I totally agree....... And that makes the two of us still enjoying the ride immensely with all honesty... I'll be posting my insights, but I need to rewatch first... πππ May I just mention that I'm actually here for the romance.. And I look at the mystery as a side dish.. All other sub plots as nice hors d'oeuvres π It's probably why I'm enjoying it.. Coz I don't expect to be rushed anywhere..
The problem with this show is that the stalker is the most interesting person on the show. He steals all the scenes…
I'm thinking there is something more to it.. He's becoming increasingly annoying and I think he's been doing it intentionally. Maybe that's why he is set up to steal everyone's sttention coz he's a cover up.. For something that we'd never see coming. I don't agree that he is the most interesting character (other than being totally annoying).. The growth in the characters around them are the most fascinating for me.. Coz they represent different people irl.. And I totally appreciate identifying with them. The little things tht you may consider unnecessary, I find important in the healing of every important character.. GyeHoon, DaHyun, Wontak, Eunjung.. Even mum & granny.. And what seriously steals every scene for me besides YeoJinGoo's amazing face is his excellent performance!!! He even makes sweating.. Really hot.. ππππ π π
at this point, episode 11 is not good storytelling anymore. Is not lead us in the wrong direction they just randomly…
Just curious and I'd like to understand which you think is misleading the viewers? And was randomly drawn from the pot and without sense, you say?
When you say Gin Jo..do you mean JinGoo? GyeHoon? You know very well why he can't just drag jinguen to the police & expect him to be locked up for good, right? If that's what you're saying. And I think the drama already made clear why GyeHoon keeps having conversation with him. That was even foreshadowed when jinguen said they'll be desperately looking for him...
I still want to understand your point when you said it's leading us to the wrong direction.. π€
They did reveal something new in episode 11. Just because the show advances slowly doesn't mean it is bad story…
Giving negative feedback is fine...I actually find ones that are engaging at times. But giving the very same negative feedback every single episode, every week, is unhealthy even for you. Aren't you tired of watching something that is making you terribly upset? I mean I see you're one of the earliest to give your negative feedbacks (coz they're rarely good ones) and one of the most active in the chat box of a drama that you do not enjoy... Why?? Really why??
I'm getting really tired of being spoon fed the plot here. It's just so unnecessary draggy. And that unhinged…
Pleeeesse drop it already. I'm also really tired of going through the thread finding your relentless whining about the show. In case you haven't noticed, you're just repeating yourself over & over & over. We've read it so much times every episode, can't you give it a rest? By that I mean, literally give it a rest and just stop watching if you hate every episode that much... Please?
They did reveal something new in episode 11. Just because the show advances slowly doesn't mean it is bad story…
I remember you... You're the one who kept complaining & whining about how this drama is boring you right from the earlier episodes.. Then what are you still doing here? You're one of the earliest to comment, I mean complain about the story you don't like with a genre that doesn't suit you..
Admit it.... You're drawn to it...youre madly, deeply into it that you're finding it hard to drop it.. πππ
O come on, stop being a party pooper... Shut up and enjoy the lovey dovey scenes... Only miserable people loves watching miserable stuff all the time! I'm just smiling from ear to ear π
Should i start this? Is it really good? Is there lots of romance?
Yes it is very good! β€οΈ Remember, the title is.. Link: eat, love, kill. I hope JinGoo gets to read that... π₯Ίπ₯Ίπ₯Ίπ€§π€§π€§
I have been moved several times by YeoJinGoo's portrayal of different characters. Each of them truly unforgettable. True, it lingers in your thoughts and even the emotions it triggers hang on for some time. His film Hwayi left a deep impression on me, he was 15 when he did that film but his acting skills are truly beyond his age. He has an impressive list of filmography, and as mentioned, The Crowned Clown is one of his greatest performance. Beyond Evil is another masterpiece. And if you need to see where it all began, try watching the first few episodes of Giant π
Why don't you put it on hold, my friend. Go watch the other drama you're fond of, then pick this up again after it's done.. and stop lingering in the comments section trying to hate on peoples' comments who're actually loving the show.. If you truly dislike it, then go ahead & point out the details of your dislike with a level head & without comparing to other ongoing dramas that has an entirely different genre. Let your comment be helpful more than an insult to & mockery of someone else's opinion and to the show.
I like this drama too but some of y'all really going go pretend you don't understand why people don't like it?…
No it wasn't me and no, I still am not interested in understanding why others don't like the show. But I do post comments that might delight others who share the same opinion as mine.
But yes, I do believe what @heyena is saying about laying the foundations & character build up.
I would very much like to know what question I asked that I didn't want answered. Perhaps, a rhetorical question? If it is, then yes, your assumption is correct, answers aren't necessary.

I know some people will start ranting how these scenes are fillers then later on they'll wonder when and how they fell in love so deeply.. π©
I'm totally in for giving our leads esp GyeHoon time to fall in love and be happy.. DaHyun also deserves that kind of joy! This is a very very nice break from all the tension and drama.. Nothing but falling in love β€οΈ even for our 2nd couple... & maybe a 3rd? π€
well at least that's the first half...
Then the episode takes us to more revalations... I'm actually impressed that it's already revealing this much.. And some of the pieces are already falling into place.. And although we could already somehow figure out some of the missing pieces... I'm still curious how to 'link' them together.. DaHyun is more than a witness.. That goes either way(victim/guilty?) But I'd like to see how our couple manages this conflict after carefully building up their relationship.. DaHyun is learning how to be honest to GyeHoon.. Meanwhile, GyeHoon is starting to be honest with himself.. Even discovering things he never thought he'd be able to say or do.. Looks like jinguen is truly rotten.. I'd like to see our bffs GyeHoon & sejin.. & jinhoo too.. Deal with this scumbag.. It's like having capt America having Bucky & Sam β€οΈ
