I have seen and read a lot of post regarding this phrase and they all have different meanings where "Devil is referred to NHS" so i was just not able to understand which one of these is the real meaning behind that sentence bcoz i have a different explanation.

I do agree with your reasoning but NHS only wanted justice for his brother, they decapitated his head and kept its as a trophy also, they buried his body somewhere unknown for years. Though NHS manipulated everyone and took revenge but he never took any credit of anything in-fact he only watched it and was leading WWX like u mentioned.
If we go by the whole scene this is what i think, it started with NHS saying that they added 1000 new rules to "Lan Clan" then WWX said, the one we should never forget is "thou shall not befriend with the devil" So somewhere i feel that this sentence was like a warning or an advice bcoz the rules are meant for "Cloud Recesses" which imply that if NHS does something evil in future like JGY bcoz his capabilities are unmatched just like JGY then he will have to face them. After that WWX asked NHS that, he has done so much doesn't he wants "Excellency" position (now LWJ is the "Excellency" so i think WWX wanted to confirm if he will hurt LWJ for the position ?)
but then NHS answered that he is more interest in natural scenery than all this and if there is something he wants he will do it himself and if things aren't his business, he won't meddle in it, seems like he was referring to the position of "Excellency" and other affairs which doesn't interests him.

I feel the situation is same that's why the dialogues feels similar ..

The first drama i saw where so many metaphors were used was "The sound of the dessert" .
Yes i feel the same the dialogue for one on one conversation are pretty good and i really like that, somewhere it shows depth of the situation or scene...

OMG i m on 18th eps and Mr Yin said to CXZ that Tou doesn't get anything u said only 2 words "For Me"..hahahahah and then "Not warm i m afraid his heart is on fire" i m like ohhhhhhhh

I know that but why the writers have to kill that poor kid, he wanted a new life and it was just the beginning, i feel bad for him :(
yes i agree with Zhong Tao, if they wanted to kill him at-least give him some heroic death ...

"Thou shall not be friends with the devil" what does it imply? why would WWX said that to NH in the end. NH did everything to avenge his brother, who gave respect and status to Meng Yao also, it did helped WWX to clear his name, meet Shijie's son and make up with Jiang cheng and the best part is he was able to see LWJ and his affections towards him. Also, in the end WWX and LWJ are together for forever <3

What the hell is this ...i m so mad why they have to kill poor Gugu he was just a kid, that too without any funeral for him and now Zhong Tao ...I thought he is also very skilled but died so easily ...huhhh

Honestly this is how the real situation used to be during that era, sometimes even if u don't want to be a part of such politics but people around you and your tittle won't just let you be free.
LCY is brought up in palace, knowing well aware of how everyone is thirsty for power and position so they can control others. After the death of his brother, he realized that if he needs to take revenge for his brother, his mother and his maternal clan ...he needs to rise up and do stuffs to take the throne so that he can get rid of all the corrupt and manipulative people rd him…. That’s the reason he came close to XF not knowing that he would actually fall for her..
The emperor wanted to control the danchi clan but since it was not possible for him. So, he wanted to get rid of them at any cost it doesn’t matters who will do that ….So LCY used this opportunity which will help him to get close to the throne plus he wanted revenge for his brother, I only wished he could have done something to know what’s the real truth behind the death of his brother.
And if u notice that his 2nd brother wanted to take the advantage and brought army on the day of wedding and its shocked LCY too but when he went to battlefield along with XF brothers and other danchi clan soldiers....he had to make a choice, if he supports Danchi clan then he will be labelled as a traitor then he will never be able to avenge his mother and her clan.
But i was sure that he won't hurt XF in fact he will do anything to protect her unlike his 2nd brother ..

I hope too, the editing makes me worried and i wish this time they won't copy songs from other dramas ...better to come up with good songs ...

When i first watched Luo as RY i was like is he really a lead ....:-D :-D but then i fell in love with his character and acting ...<3 now i m a huge fan of him, i have so many crushes including Luo and i wish the same too...hahaha

Yes, its not right .... honestly i won't care about the editing as long as the show is good and actors are skilled to do the job...

For chemistry i think even if a couple looks good together but can be loved only if the characters are well written.

Slow and steady development of any relation is very important because it helps in strengthening it for long term, which improves the trust and understanding between the partners ......which is also very true in real life ...<3 that's why ST and CXZ love feels real ...

Yes i agree that loud music is very bad, i m still at 10th eps so i m still not used to it but yes now i m also used to editing part ...

Me too, i love fate end and fate begins(luo one) bcoz its very soothing and i just love whenever they play it <3 Does this have eng subs?? bcoz last tym when i checked it didn't had any subs so i m not aware of the lyrics ...
I know music is always soothing but its meaningful only when u know the lyrics.

Yes i agree and i like how the relationship between them is developing bcoz it doesn't feel sudden or forced just bcoz they r the leads.
I love these kind of love stories where no matter how big the misunderstandings is between the couple but they will always trust each other and will fight against the odds together.

So, far i have completed 10 eps and a bit of things i liked and disliked about the show:

1. I do understand CXZ love for ST, its like that first love/ strong affection u feel towards someone who helped and u seem to feel some kind of special bond whenever he is rd u and even though u love or have strong affection towards him but u can't tell him bcoz of rejection or u don't wanna embarrass urself but u still do stupid things in order to attract his attention ...
2. Whenever ST and CXZ are together something will happen or a particular scene which will always make u smile...
3. The dialogues are good whenever they have one on one discussion...
4. I won't say yukee is doing an amazing job in portraying her character but she is good and as for Luo, he is amazing as usual ...<3
5. Sometimes the music they play in the background is very loud and irritates u and the blur editing part whenever they zoom in ...

I hope too considering that "Immortality" has such a nice plot and story, i don't wanna see it turning into some mess ... actually And the winner is love(ATWIL)produced by the same production house as ashes of love one so, it weird to see how badly they have executed ATWIL.
But i do hope that they won't disappoint us with Immortality ... finger crossed :)

This may be me only but i don't trust the director "Mr Sam Ho" bcoz i m currently watching his on going drama "And the winner is love" with Luo Yunxi as the Main lead, the story is okay since its has been adopted from the novel "Moon on fire" which is pretty simple love story but the problem is many complained that the music is pirated from both Yanxi palace and Arsenal military academy also the editing is not up-to the mark and the most important issue that Mr Sam Ho recently got accused of plagiarism for using some scene in And the winner is love from a famous online Japanese game.
Now i m not sure how "Immortality" will do?
