I thought her character was kind of annoying/dumb acting but then when she had a serious expression, it oozed charisma! I love her range of expression and how natural she can act someone getting flustered without it coming off cringe or cheesy.

i got to ep12 when this first came out and then went on hiatus for a bit and just went back and finished the series. There are definitely situations where they get themselves into a ton of trouble unnecessarily and also the amount of times they say their plans out loud for anyone to eaves drop is ridiculous.
I agree that the ML starts out as prejudice. He literally acknowledges it himself later on that he initially thought he would marry someone of his social class because the social classes don't mix and that would be it, until he met Long Aoyi and fell in love.

She's literally supposed to be stick thin because she was 1. orphan 2. grew up in the dregs of society. She's so fixated on food cuz they never had stuff to eat when they were younger and now she's built up a gang to help those in need. The ML falls for her cuz she cares greatly about other people's wellbeing. She is chief because of her charisma and willingness to stick her neck out for other people. That's literally the whole point of the drama lol

*this summary is based on my own interpretation of this confusing storyline* Backstory is mostly intepreted from ep 26 FL = Bai Jing (a goddess) - idk if they ever actually say her name in this show, but this is what her name is based on the legends ML1 (curly hair guy most of the time) = White Snake Liu LongTing ML2 (straight haired/wears black most of the time) = Emperor/God of something (also seems a black snake, so it could like the Yin/Yang sides of one individual)
Backstory: In the Heavenly Realm, ML2 gets injured protecting FL. ML1 ends up putting his soul into ML2's body in order to help ML2 patch ML2's soul. FL then steals a heavenly lotus flower in order to great another eternal body for the two males so they don't have to share a body. ML2 is a stickler for heavenly rules and refuses to use the body created illegally, so instead ML1 takes over the body. Heavenly lightning then descends on FL as punishment for stealing the lotus flower. Both MLs protect her. ML2 ends up forcing FL to go into the cycle of reincarnation as a punishment. ML1 takes his punishment as becoming the ruler of Hell.
This show starts with FL reincarnated in modern times and gets drugged at a bar. Her mind time travels to slightly more ancient times, where she gets kidnapped and send as a replacement bride to Qin Family's third son. The third son was previously bullied a ton. His mother was a fox fairy and he was born half human/half fairy, so his body could not live long. His mother steals Liu Long Ting (ML1)'s immortal body and puts her son's soul into the body. Eventually, the second son of Qin family bullies the third son so much (including running over his legs causing him to become a cripple) that the third son cuts his own wrists the day of the wedding. Episode 1 is of FL finding the third son dead by suicide in their wedding room.
Once the third son dies, the real Liu Long Ting (ML1)'s soul is able to take over the immortal body again. He recognizes FL as the goddess of his past and tries to keep her with him and also he wants to get back at the Qin family.
ML2 is just a floating black soul that is waiting for FL to finish her reincarnation trials. He also saves FL in this era a few times, but still ends up trying to send her onto her next cycle of reincarnation, so that he doesn't have to share her with ML1 in this life. ML1 ends up entering the reincarnation portal with FL to save her, but since he's already the emperor of Hell, he is able to bring her back to that era.
Some unimportant person tries to steal some ancient relic and become the all-powerful being and marry the FL. This pulls the ML's together with a common goal again to protect FL. They merge again into one to fight this man.
Then it goes back to modern times, where you find out the that FL was rescued by the reincarnation of the merged MLs.
It's still confusing even for me who is fluent in Chinese. The scenes jump way too quickly and the seem to also switch between past and present. There's also a million wedding dress scenes that all blend together.

there was a scene in ep 2 (30mins in, after he comes back from seeing Prince Fu and is just looking at FL's hairpin) where he's taking a medication (tiny red pill) to prevent beard growth. and him and his "son"/assistant are discussing if the medication has side effects that would cause harm, but he says they still need to be cautious about it being revealed that he's still has 'it' intact. I would say it was implied in that conversation.

the love rule is the ML's mother's wish before her death because her love was . it's a restriction only on the heavenly realm. Yumo's parents are technically just a side clan and are not restricted by heavenly realm rules, like the dragon clans etc. the ending has the ML reverse this rule against love as he makes the same choice as his mother to save the 3 realms again.

i'm on ep3 and i'm only watching it cuz I dont want to get sucked into a captivating story lol. The FL gets into so much trouble and digs her own grave all the time, but then the script is always like "her smarts will save her". Like is she supposed to be smart or stupid?
