I'm very happy about Myeongkyun and Minseon, I didn't think their bond was particularly strong in the house but they proved me wrong, they were adorable during that date in ep.14 and actually had great chemistry. I wonder why they didn't show us Jaesung and Seongmin in the last episode though.
Please don't tell me Kongthap's mother is homophobic, not in 2024 and not in this weak enough series, the homophobic mother trope is the last thing this needs...
The doctor hitting on Great was 💁 The cop (Win) is my new crush 😍 This series is amazing, the quality of EVERYTHING is over the moon, it may be too soon te tell but honestly this is the best Thai BL I've seen this year hands down, just by watching the trailer we all knew it was gonna be more than just good. My only regret is I should have never started watching it so early, the waiting is unbearable... 💀
p.s. was I the only one thinking Tonkla's dead brother was Title? (who by the way should be locked up in a cell, the guy is a real psycho!👹)
That last scene bruh, those villains are so useless, they did everything they could NOT to take that stone... 😂 The action scenes are kinda bad (the last one from ep. 8 even turned comical at some point) but the overall story is very intriguing and I cried so much at the grandma scene and the reunion of San and Wee, they are great actors and they have amazing chemistry.
I honestly feel bad for the 3 of them, Tae Ha who's going to marry a woman who doesn't love 'cause he can't handle the social pressure from his family and society, Ji Woon who can only walk away heartbroken from the love of his life who decided to marry a woman and the woman who is about to marry a guy who doesn't love her and knows nothing about his future husband's sexuality. And I'm sure these situations happen in real life more than we think. I'm not sure what to expect from the last episode but both the acting and the visuals (lol) are great.
This is becoming more and more interesting, it started kinda silly but it's getting more serious which I really like. I was expecting more development from the 2nd couple but nope... well next episode I guess. Also, the rating is criminally low, MDL really not reliable at all most of the time. Finally, am I the only one seeing a resemblance between Ryu and Fame from "My Ride"?
I swear I must be a freaking masochist, I keep repeating myself not to start a series I know it's going to be VERY GOOD until AT LEAST it's halfway through but nope, I just like torturing myself by watching ep. 1 and then AGONIZE waiting for the next episodes, 'cause why not... masochist! 💀
Alan is amazing, when he first arrived I thought his exhuberant energy and straightforwardness were a little too much and that I wasn't going to like him, also I had a feeling he wasn't gonna fit in the group, boy I was so wrong! He literally feels like a warm hug on a cold day, the guy is so empathic and kind, you can tell he's really good at heart. I feel like he really adapted very well to the new environment by tuning down his energy a notch. He perfectly understood he had been too aggressive with Kazuto and wisely stepped back giving him space. I'm glad Kazuto gave him a chance in the end, they make a great couple. I'm going to miss this show very much and I hope next year we'll have The Boyfriend 2.
This series is not half as bad as some comments depict it, the story is intriguing enough to keep me entertained and the acting is okay. The first episode Yu really irritated me but by the end of the second one I found myself loving the guy (and the ship sailed lol). The 2nd couple has a lot of potential but not much happened so far so we'll see, fingers crossed.
From the same Director of Gaya Sa Pelikula I couldn't expect anything less than a masterpiece, and to be honest there wasn't a single BL from The Philippines after GSP (2020) that was worth watching and I kinda had lost hope... but this is an amazing LGBTQAI+ series! Finally! They should show this series in schools everywhere, there's so many teenagers out there who're trying to figure out who they are, trying to fit in a group, kids who are confused and scared about who they love and they don't know that no matter what they deserve love and it's ok to be "different".
I really enjoyed this movie, the plot is straightforward, the pacing is on point, the actors are great and the chemistry is chemistrying. What I liked the most is the absence of unnecessary drama or toxic characters, it felt very authentic and realistic to me. I totally recommend it. 9.5/10
